Yay! I’m so glad to hear that! I loved making it, I’m such a geek 🤣 but it’s lovely to share it with others. Thanks so much for watching and for reaching out! Sam x
I think it’s a very individual decision as to whether to go with the dining plan, we could never eat enough food to warrant it as we quite often have 2 meals a day at Disney, not 3. But this last trip we ate at Disney table restaurants a lot and it cost a fortune! Whereas if we’d have paid for the plan up front as part of the holiday, it probably would have cost more but we wouldn’t have had to spend as much whilst we were there x
Good vlog topic Sam; I have done expenses spreadsheets in the past too for each day of the trip, but now just do a summary - Disney trips to Orlando are very expensive these days as apart from hotels and tickets, the flights in school holidays are ridiculously high. Anyway well done ! David 👍🇬🇧🏰🇺🇸😎🌴
Thanks David! It is expensive isn’t it. Definitely ways to bring costs down but it’s certainly not cheap 😢 hope all is well with you, thanks so much for watching! Sam x
Disney is an expensive trip for sure and takes lots of planning ahead of time. I would love to stay two weeks! I loooove staying in the Disney bubble. What a great idea making a spreadsheet with all of the receipts. I wish they still had the free airport transportation. I love staying on sight now. The values are a fun option and give the Disney bubble feel! I’ve never done a park hopper or the water parks before. Awesome and informative video! 😊 thanks for sharing with us - and I love your ears so much! 💕

This was a really useful video, especially the tip about virgin flying club! Wish I knew about that before we booked our trip as we're flying with virgin!
Well now you can open a flying club and get all the miles from your upcoming trip and start saving for the next trip 😍 never too late to start collecting airmiles! Thanks so much for tuning in, let me know if you have any questions at all 🙏🏻

I think it’s because we always come for such a long time, it’s too far to come for anything less! We are very lucky with our park ticket deals for Disney. I hope you enjoyed the video and found it informative!
This was a really great presentation!! Very factually accurate as well. I too have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and adored it! I took my granddaughter this past March and we had a Royal room as well. We go back to Disney World in less than two weeks and will be doing a splitstay between Port Orleans French Quarter and Caribbean Beach. I am absolutely addicted to the Moderate resorts. I feel they are a great value for the money!
Port Orleans Riverside is just lovely isn’t it! I was so surprised by how peaceful and tranquil it was, it’s so different to the parks but still so Disney! It was such a change when we moved from there and checked in at Pop Century! I agree, moderate resorts are great value for money, you get a lot more for not too much more money, that’s my opinion anyway. I was surprised at the price difference in the spreadsheet, I thought it would be a lot more. Thank you for watching and I’m so glad you found it accurate and helpful! X Sam x
We’ve booked our first cruise for next January to the Caribbean, that’s how we found your Channel, watching gallons of videos 😮. The only trouble is now you’ve made us want to go back to Disney 😂, we’ve been four time when both our boys were of age to go on the big rides. Always stayed in villas and drove to the parks, our last trip was 2017. My 2 sons are now 21 and 19 and are gutted we’re thinking of doing a trip on our own to Disney without them 😊.
Ah I love that! Where are you cruising to? That’s going to come round quickly! Haha, I take full responsible for the Disney temptation 😂 it’s the best isn’t it! Our boys are 5&1 still so long time until we do an adults only romantic Disney trip, but that’s a silver lining to the children growing up I suppose! Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏻

Wow! That was so detailed and so interesting. Thanks so much for taking the time to offer such a wonderful presentation. I went to Florida 6 times between 1992 and 2001 (in fact my last trip there was due to be on 9/11 so I had 3 extra days before our flight home!) Maybe it's time to go back and see how things have changed? For the 4 of us I used to budget around 7k for everything. How times change huh! Thanks again x
Wow that is a difference! Although I’m surprised the difference isn’t more over more than 20 years! Yes definitely time for another trip back 😜 thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to comment, so glad you enjoyed it! X

I’m going to keep all the receipts again and do something similar/different too! Thanks so much for watching and for commenting, Sam x
I’m 🤞trying to convince my OH we should be looking at the “free” dining plan deal coming up. Looks like Poly might not be included but I can start pricing it up to make a lesser price look better! 🤣
Really nice to hear and see the breakdown of the costs. I am a huge fan of spreadsheets as well.... Maybe I have missed it, but on what site did you order your Disney tickets? We have now an offer from a travel agent but are doubting to book ourselves. But a bit scared.... Don't know why. The only big thing is we have to book for 10 and for all the flights you can only book for 9 direct. If more, you have to contact the airline direct. It is so inconvenient!
We got the Disney tickets through Walt Disney Travel Company as part of the package when we booked the hotels 👍🏻 I actually booked it all myself as I’m a travel agent too, if you head to our Facebook page you’ll see it all there (I don’t advertise it on my videos or on instagram as they’re kept for my personal adventures 😊) but if you want any help just let me know! ⬇️
I can’t believe growing up I stayed at yacht club the boardwalk and ak lodge. How did my dad afford that lol we’re not rich. Must’ve got amazing deals and ofc it was 10 years ago so different prices
Yes a lot has changed hasn’t it. I’m surprised the costs aren’t more now compared to years ago, the price hasn’t changed in the last 20 years as much as I thought it would have! X
Thank you for your video! Would you have any tips for when to buy the cheapest Disney World tickets? We have seen an offer now and are worried that later the prices might drop and we paid more than necessary. Should we wait or should we reserve the deals we see now for next year?
I don’t I’m afraid, but I know prices usually go up every year so buying them sooner rather than later will benefit you in the long run! We used FloridaTix in 2019 when we did Disney and Universal, but booked tickets direct with Disney this year and last. I hope that helps! Thank you for watching too 🥰
As far as I’m aware yes they can, as long as they fit through the door (a double pram does fit through the door gap, they just don’t allow them on without being folded down!)
You can use the points to book a package holiday, however I think British Airways allow you to use their avios miles against the cost of a British airways holiday. I don’t think Virgin Holidays let you do it but it’s worth a check! You can absolutely earn miles when booking package holidays and paying on the airmile credit cards. Virgin Holidays used to gain you extra airmiles on the booking too so another thing worth a check!
With regards to air miles, if so feel safe sharing, how much do you spend on the virgin Atlantic credit cards (roughly) p.a.? I was researching this yesterday and we currently spend around 12k on Tesco CC but rarely at Tesco any more (also have an electric car so no petrol on it any more)
I’ve just had a check on the app and I can’t tell, we put most of our spending on the card though and have always got loads of points. The version that has a £160pa fee does get you significantly more points than the free one!
That trip was dollar/thrifty (never again, it was awful! I made a short video about what happened with them here: ruclips.net/video/EqR5tdqE0_o/видео.html ) our next trip though we have used Discount Florida Car Hire, so far the experience has been excellent 👍🏻
