At the beginning off the season, Chase Elliott made an appearance on the Dale Jr. Download. In that episode, Chase spoke about his 2023 injury and the challenges of learning the Next Gen platform. Now, as he has become the most consistant driver this season, I asked Chase where he stands with his understanding of the car.

Chase Elliot is very sensible in his response to this overblown conversation. There are too many factions involved in trying to change the race format. He is right that NASCAR should make and enforce rules and changes There is this small group of fans and reporters sticking their nose in too deep. NASCAR reporters are fanning the flames to get dumb responses. If Penske figured it out first good for them, every team with all their resources has the same chance. I don't care if they make some changes, it will all work out the same in the long run. What I don't want is to make it easy for bad teams to get into the playoffs when they have no chance of winning a championship. We want real champions like we have now. I don't want NASCAR to be moved by a bunch of college type protesters with insane ideas, and who want to change the sport into a diluted form where everyone gets a trophy because the crying got too loud.
