The eastern part of the municipal territory is located in a flat agricultural landscape of the central lowland of the Elbe Table. The western part lies in the Upper Sázava Hills and includes Kutná Hora's highest point, Malý Kuklík hill at 359 m (1,178 ft) above sea level. The Vrchlice stream flows through the city.
