Adjusting settings on a 60-in-1 arcade PCB

  • This is a small video on how to adjust the settings on the 60-in-1 vertical PCB.
The main thing is to turn off the machine, adjust dipswitch 4 on the PCB and turn on the machine. This brings you into the settings where you can do general settings and game-specific settings that would normally be done on the original arcade boards.
By disabling all games except one, you can make the arcade jump straight into the game once you turn it on and therefor skip the game-selection screen. This makes the game experience a lot more authentic.
Another setting which comes in handy is the Volume of the system which is found as a physical potentiometer on the board. Just use a small philips/cross screwdriver and turn it to adjust.

I just picked up a Gorf cocktail cabinet that has been gutted and basically is now this multicade board instead. It doesn't have the S2 or any control button interface. Just game control buttons/joysticks. I can get into setup by flipped dip 4 on but after that it says press S2 but I have no S2 button. Is there a way for me to traverse the setup menu with the normal game controls? None of the buttons nor joysticks register when on that initial setup page saying press S2.

@@mrjinxzz Thanks so much, this comment pointed me in the exact right direction! I was at least able to enable some games that were turned off and adjust each game's settings. Woohoo! My only disappointment is I thought you could customize the game menu itself. Apparently you can't. It reads "Happy Hours" in the most disgusting rainbow, shadowed font with a grey-ish background. I bought this cabinet from an old arcade bar assuming they had customized that. But apparently that's just part of what's built into the jamma board itself, not customizable. Let me know if I'm missing anything. Thanks again for your help!

@@JeffYPbPr Gosh it's been so long since I fixed this situation, I can't remember off hand exactly what I did. Thankfully I did find the reply from @mrjinxzz to my original comment in the YT email notification I received when he replied. Here you go, hope this helps. I think I did what he said and hooked up a separate button to the correct jamma board harness points:
"Hi Tim, check if you can add a wire to your wiring harness that adds button 2 (and 3). You can simply find a "jamma pinout" on the web to find which spots on the Jamma need to be wired up. Connect a button to Button 2 and button 3 and add the GND and you're good to go."

I purchased a 60-1 Blee and i seem to have wired it correctly as the lights flash solid green after power up and blinking green on the second light but the games never seem to start up. It always boots to service screen and I have verified that the dip switch #4 is off and not in service mode. I have two of these boards and it seems to be doing it with both boards. I also have multiple harnesses. One player and two player harnesses. Please Help, thanks!!!

If you check online for "jamma pinout" you will find the pin layout on the big blue jamma connector. You should be able to trace the wire "player 1, button 2" and connect a button to that wire and one ground wire.
      Hope that helps.

I have this board in my DK cab. I found this tutorial really helpful for booting straight into DK but I have an issue. My high score from a long while back of 87,900 is saved on there and whenever i score more (for example I just scored 111,200) the score disappears when I turn off the machine? Is this a bug / setting? Or has my DK (1) gone corrupt?
My previous score of 87k remains no matter how many times I turn off the cab but no higher score is saved.
    Would really appreciate any help.

What you need to do is write your new high score down on a sticky note and paste it on the top part of the screen then your new high score will be saved for the next time. Then just repeat the steps given here. Simple! Have a nice day! ;)

Make sure DIP #3 is turned to "ON" to enable high score saving. It's the little blue bank of four switches, and you'll need to power cycle the machine after turning it on for the system to recognize the change.

Check if you have your gnd wire connected correctly. It's the black loom that should be connected to every button.

simply dont wire the buttons and install the board where you can reach the dipswitch through the coin door. You don't need to wire the test buttons. Also make sure you have the power switch easily accessible through the coin door too lol.
