- Trotwood-Madison High School JROTC program hosted a drill competition, March 19th, 2016. It's pretty awesome to see kids now days will goals, dreams, ethics, morals. Watch these kids give it 100%
This inspector is awesome.
Not a drill sergeant
@@truncatepool5801 2:29 There's a DS cover on the table
@drake sessions e-5 to e-7can be drill sergeants he is an e-8
@@dwightstewart7181 Well I don't think an inspection, warrants correction in the moment, maybe he sent the schools their gigs after, also JROTC have to salute EVERYONE wearing a uniform... doesnt matter if its enlisted.
@@ggboro2449 you are correct i was both a Civil Air Patrol cade and a Army JROTC Cadet salute the rank not the man
"Let's get this party started" lost it lmao
The best inspection I have seen here .... The Sergeant is a great person, he does not yell and his words are correct to speak in public.
Maybe because it was a group of girls and for his size, he wouldn't feel right yelling at them.
The inspector was so nice, on my first drill inspection I had a Marine Officer yelling and spitting at my face, my legs were shaking because it was my first experience having a tough inspection. But still I got a perfect score 😎
Your first inspection was the way military inspections are suppose to be. By the way, the inspector of your first one was not an officer but you were to refer to him as if he was an officer.
This is super chill compared to the marine corps junior rotc
datboisboi dude that guy is retired.
I was in Marine Corps JROTC. and when I was Drill team commander I sounded WAY meaner!
@@DerrelTheReal my brothers SAI was retired too, but always screamed in people's face for minor mistakes. And no, it wasn't PTSD he was a recruiter, and before that was only in anti air and never saw action
datboisboi most retired veterans are chill compared to when they were in the military.
It depends on the person, you don’t have to be a hardass to get respect.
I can’t tell whether they are all 20 or like 12
Prob a bunch of high schoolers
@@jeffreyli7421 Pretty sure this is ROTC, not JROTC...
“Beauty school.” That threw him for a loop! 😂 For those who were expecting him to come out yelling and carrying on, he’s retired and huge. He understands that these cadets would’ve probably been blown away if he had been yelling, especially indoors. His way of talking to them set a good example of temperance at the same time they knew that he could be a loose cannon at the drop of a hat and they were kind of expecting it. Had he wanted to bust them out he sure had plenty to go by, but I don’t think that was his goal. It’s one inspection that I’m sure that they will remember for a long time. My favorite inspection was when my Battery 1SG, a bear of a man, Black Hat, HALO, Rigger, Jump Master and Path Finder, etc., the guy had more wings than a flock of birds. He also had bad hearing that required hearing aids. Before he got them he yelled all the time because he literally couldn’t hear himself and was crabby as hell! So he got the hearing aids, and he chilled for the most part. At this particular inspection he came out and started inspecting the HQ Platoon and he gets to one of the medics who was a joker. He asked him how he was doing and the medic moves his lips like he’s talking but doesn’t really say anything. The 1SG asked him to repeat himself, so this guy does it again without say a word, just moving his lips! The 1SG looked perplexed and suddenly starts to wack his hearing aids and says, “Damn batteries!” And leaves the formation and ran inside the building! 😂😂🤣🤣 The Platoon Sgt, who like the rest of us realized that the medic was messing around, looked at him and said, “Your ass is mine!” 😂😂🤣🤣 The 1SG sent word that the Platoon Sgts finish the inspections. He never found out, at least from anyone I knew there, what had happened. That was hilarious.
So we talk at port arms now?
Dam disrespecting them wrestling mats tho
YES
THAT’S WHAT I THOUGHT
I love these types of inspections.
Are you a JROTC Cadet DJ
Buckeyenest LLC Yes I am.
Which branch?
context is everything. During the inspection, not only did he find flaws, but he also let the Platoon Sgt view what he saw, THEN told them how to fix it. Speaking to each in the squad, he made them think about their goals regardless what they are. The squad members will go far with his guidance.
WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS THIS INSPECTION IDK WAT TO SAY LOL
Sir seargent sir seargent 😂
I was in the Army JROTC program from 1982-1985 was involved in The Boys Drill Team as a Cadet 2nd Leutenant. It made me a better person to this day!
That’s master Sergeant to you little lady
Good job working with young people...easy on the donuts sarge..as a Viet vet we fight the same battle.
Kind of hard to have an official inspection when the inspector is not in the complete uniform for the inspection.
Their baring was trash, their alignment was trash, they did not correct themselfes if they did not know an answer they are supposed to say "this cadet does not know" man a lot of mistakes one of the worst inspection ever
BATTLEBORN RYAN I agree as a freshman I could do better then this senior they are very poorly trained but props to the Sargent for keeping his cool I would scream
Bearing*
Themselves*
Inspections*
In AJROTC, you can say I, me or my.
Oh ok a few things they can’t keep their bearings, they are not sopost to keep looking at the inspector, there is no nodding or saying mmhmm, they have to look straight, and if they don’t know they have to say Thai cadet doesn’t not know at this time sergeant, and it’s amazing how they got ribbons but it looks like they never got inspected before
The inspector was in the 3rd infantry regiment. You can tell by the leather buff strap on his left shoulder
That is....a cord, not the leather buff strap. He would also have an Honor Guard or Old Guard tab on his shoulder.
He was a Drill Sergeant most likely for all of his service or the concluding years.
son goku I’m not sure if he’s right but he’s not talking about the infantry chord on the right, he’s talking about the brown chord on the left. And negative, he’s not a drill sergeant. He’s not wearing a “this we’ll defend badge”
6:52 give me that shit
ik we don't talk at Port arms
You do for inspection when they’re inspecting you
@@morganbangs2969 No you go to order arms 1st then you can talk but you don't talk at port arms regardless. they take your weapon from you at port arm then you can talk also
@@AG153 oh yeah. You’re right. My bad
@@morganbangs2969 aleast in the marines idk about everyone else...someone told me they do in the army they do
@@AG153 I’m in AFJROTC. And you’re right. That was my bad.
this is the worst inspection ive ever seen
Carson McIntosh I agree, the Master Sargent was way to easy on them
I'm not sure what kind of Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps experience you've had, but my Sergeant Major and my Chief don't scream, it isn't a necessity, although there is a handful that do, screaming doesn't make a good chain of command,
But, he should've been more thorough.
Demolitioexpert it is necessary 🤦♂️
Demolitioexpert should see what would’ve happened if they had Marines as inspectors
typically the Marine Corp DI's are the one's who yell at the cadets.
Those of u saying what is wrong in with this I️nspection I️ hope u understand this is JROTC it is a groups in HIGH SCHOOL that teaches and prepares you for any branch u wanna join when u get out of HIGH SCHOOL so stop with the mean and bad comments goodness
GirlGamer Not really prepare you to be in the military but, JROTC main goal is to make better citizen's its not required you to joined the military.
Bro im a freshman and in drillteam for AFJROTC and i got all DI's yelling towards me during the first 3 minutes of inspection, this isnt nothing, they also did the inspection wrong, even the sophomore said "i dont know sir" its correctly said like this "this cadet does not know sir" so trust me man, read the comments and actually put sense into them lol
@@lupitamelendez9721 "this isn't nothing"
Yeah, people seem to think ROTC is like boot camp or something, it isn’t meant to be and just because some cadet or former cadet did get yelled at doesn’t mean everyone else does, it’s pretty annoying honestly to read those comments all the time.
I loved msgt. Newsome
This guy is hilarious
Well the person commanding the squad should know what the command is. It's not called Martime March it's called Mark Time March
Wow.... Sergeant, i could have sworn he earned Master Sergeant, maybe he is on his second prestige and his rank is still updating. He probably got a 2.3 KDR based on how many stripes on his sleeves. Must have been awarded gold store for most revives and ammo resupplies with those big arms....
if your going at why they are calling him "Sergeant", its because E5-E8 are also addressed as "Sergeant". If you already knew that and you meant something else, my apologies.
@@ChrisTheGamer123YT Call Of Duty Refrence lol
Inspections are incredibly unnerving especially when you have to answer questions you might not be prepared to answer.
Inspections are for bearing and knowledge. Promotion boards are for knowledge and bearing. See the difference.
One step to the REAR NOT BACKWARD
Those berets are so messed up
Lmaoooo this was awesome
Now Im looking at those Supreme Court chiefs
Get em TOP
Hold up am I not hearing that right did she say General Barack obama
Does that c/1lt have a medal of heroism?
Someone doesn't know their medals XD.
Eh. It’s only JROTC. This inspection is fine
no
All those berets need work
Also since when is left dress a thing?!?!
....where's the yelling
They are indoors, they cannot scream.
@@Cmdr_DarkNite like Ganesha HS
There doesn’t have to be, in my AFJTROTC experience there was no yelling, it really just depends on if the inspector actually is thorough or lazy with the inspection, in my opinion that’s what matters more.
Outstanding
We use at jay m Robison Springfield and m1
She kept saying sir.
The 82nd ABN cord is a unit award and should not be worn if serving in the capacity of Army JROTC instructor. He would have to be wearing thr 82nd ABN crest.
No one cares
When he snatched that rifle I hollered 😂😂😂
That is the m1 garland right
Yes it looks like it
jacob pattee M1 Garand*
In case someone does not know what happens when you are mad light to cadets. Check the Ganesha HS inspection it has the answer
I don't know what to say, but🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
One of the cadets called the master sgt sir. Never call a sgt sir.
Unless the inspector is a Drill Instructor.
i didnt think not talking at port arms was just a corps thing.
This is the sloppiest inspection I seen ever
Ahh, there’s always people like you who say that.
@@acrazysheepdog1555 Must have never seen an inspection. Im sorry but yeah, this was pretty sloppy.
lol this inspection is supra easy to pass
very good
Damn they better have cleaned them wrestling mats after they were done so the wrestling team doesn’t need to clean them before there practice
Been in rotc four years I- This is sloppy asf 😬😬😬
Is she really calling a master sergeant a sergeant??? We would get dropped for that
You only really say the full rank when calling someone. They only people you say the full rank are First Sergeants, Sergeant Majors, and power tripping pricks destined to be Command Sergeant Majors.
I've been inspected by him before, he told us to address him as Sergeant and not Master Sergeant.
3am in Cecilia by Plexx😂
Holly hell that was bad
Sergiant
this is hands down the worst inspection I have ever seen most of them lost their barring he didn't give them the rifle properly and he really just asked how's you day how long you been in rotc and who's the president if army trys to look like hot shit they should act like it
Coming from the guy who mispronounced ‘bearing’ and comments like a five year old.
Theres a ds on the table ha ha
Man I’m in the army, and I swear this is the worst inspection ever, their calling a nco’s sir’s and shit wtf if I was there those kids would’ve failed all the way
The inspector can decide whether to be called sir or not, as for their uniforms they’re mostly pretty good, except for the berets. Bearing isn’t too great and needs work that’s for sure and try should sound off more or have more confidence but all in all they aren’t that bad in my opinion.
They are highschoolers, they are going to mess up. they fixed themselves on what they called him if you noticed.
One of the worst inspections I’ve ever seen. The AFJROTC freshmen have better bearing than these guys
That's a damn lie
You clearly haven’t seen AFJROTC freshmen then.
I can say that from experience
Great job
"SARJ ANT"
Man the inspector is WEAK. when I was Drill Team commander I sounded MEAN! lol
I suppose you didn’t have many friends then.
They all nervous
😡WHY are there shoes on the MAAAAAAT
I was the commander of my team. We've never performed this horrible. No intensity, no sharpness, the commanders rifle isn't straight over the shoulder, don't make facial expressions, don't nod, don't call the seargent sir, you call officers sir/ma'am.Over all, garbage, straight garbage.
Lost of bearing
Their dressings were terrible
And their berets too
Boooo army
james froh bihhhh please
4 branches of government? Wtf lmao
