The explanation of Jon's resurrection being because he was worging with Ghost is so much better than the resurrection we see in the TV programme, I hope they tie this up because I thought the TV resurrection was so shit.
+Doctor van Nostrand Yeah I watch both of them when I want to hear summaries/focuses or popular theories, but when I want to hear really crazy (yet somehow logical) theories, I head over to Preston Jacobs xD
I wish there were more spanish speaker fans out there. I will never stop recommending "Las Crónicas de Poniente" (translated as Westeros Chronicles) by youtuber Maglor. Those have to be THE BEST produced ASOIAF videos in youtube. Anyway, not saying this videos aren't great cause they are, but I wish there were more like Maglor's in english or more people learning spanish just to watch Maglor's videos.
CivilizationEx i really mean it m8 in a time that people backstabb each other red wedding style in order to make more bucks its good to see people backing each other up ;)
Dawn. Another day is given us, R'hllor be praised. The terrors of the night recede. Melisandre had spent the night by her fire, as she often did. With Stannis gone, her bad saw little use. She had no time to sleep, with the weight of the world on her shoulders. And she feared to dream. Sleep is a little death, dreams are the whisperings of the Other, who would drag us all into his eternal night. She would sooner sit bathed in the ruddy glow of her red lord's blessed flames, her cheeks flushed by the wash of heat as if by a lover's kisses. Some nights she drowsed, but never for more than an hour. One day, Melisandre prayed, she would not sleep at all. One night, she would be free of her dreams. Melony, she thought. Lot Seven.
I wonder if Melissandre is a much, much older version of what Coldhands is. Asshai was once a thriving city that experienced some kind of doom well before the Valyrian doom that only the people of YiTi would be able to have record of. If Coldhands is perhaps the Night's King of history living out some eternal undead torment for being involved in the creation of white walkers (and consequently wights...Melisandre birthing the shadow baby is just like the White Walkers creating wights?) perhaps she's like some remaining thousand year old sacrifice to some old oily black stone god? She's definitely not a fire wight like Lady Stoneheart/Beric Dondarion are becoming, but she definitely has the ability to create those undead shadow beings.
Maybe, but they can also make up an explanation using magic, like maybe she purposely wanted to be seen without it, so it wouldn't seem suspicious she always wears it, and so performed a ritual to maintain her glamour form for a while without the necklace. Though most likely they will simply never address it
Fair enough. Thanks for replying, I love the channel. Seeing as you are an expert at fantasy related stuff, do you have any advise/things to avoid for someone writing a fantasy novel? I thought I'd ask just to see if you had anything to say on the matter. Keep up the good work!
321Puca There's a lot to know, but an author named Brandon Sanderson did a series of lectures about writing a fantasy novel which I think give you a good break down, you should check them out if you are interested. ruclips.net/user/WriteAboutDragonsplaylists
+Pokoirl YaSe yes but Renly is dead and the Tyrell's then allied with the Lannisters and so no longer supported the Baratheon brothers claims to the throne
There are stated similarities between the Wierwood Faces and the Many Faced God, who is associated with the Stranger, Lion of Night, and the Black Goat, who we can also safely speculate is connected to the Great Other. But I wouldn't go so far to say they are enemies, when the Long Night came, both the Lands of Always Winter and the Shadow Lands beyond Asshai were heralding it, both of which were magical lands of Ice and Fire. It's called a SONG of Ice and Fire, not a rivalry, but harmony, the magical force of encroaching night. It seems like all the magic in the show has some dark undertones.
"In Qohor [they worship] the Black Goat...he feeds on blood offerings every day. On holy days, he is offered condemned criminals, and in times of great crisis, he may even be offered the nobles' children of the city to beg his protection. Does he accept their gift? Well, the city still stands." ―Jaqen H'ghar
Bro I wish so much more has been shared. Like asshai is supposedly so dark and evil yet they are the only ones who recognize and attempt to fight the great evil!? Like dude I just wanna know more about Rhllor and Asshai
listening to you interpret the books, that means the show GOT did not adopt the material as exact, would have been real great to see of this magic she has performs.
It was both actually, Orell was inside the Eagle she burned, but so was Varamyr, who was skinchanging into the animal at the time, Orell died and Varamyr went crazy.
+CivilizationEx keep up the great work! love the voice it fits perfectly, great content and I'm always excited when I get the notification of a new video. Thanks :)
She's a succubus and a Witch but i think she want to work for the greater good and you must be willing to sacrafice for her powers to work. jon snows too lucky to get to smash a wild girl a witch girl and a dragongirl and be brought back from death. it's like hes living a monster girl hentai series.
Could Dawn, the sword of House Dayne be lightbringer? Cause since it is said to be made out of metal forged from the heart of a fallen star...it could radiate heat from the fallen star....
Do you think that she went with stannis because her visions saw the prince that was promised to be next in line to the throne but was wrong and it was actually Jon that was the prince that was promised since he is technically the targaereyen heir.
Please help, Big Easter egg no one has said anything about (as far as I know). Changes everything!!! Reviewing s 6 e 1, when Melissandre removes her ruby choker, now old, she looks at herself and to go lie down, she turn her back as she lifts the blanket. WTF She has multiple spines. Is she part Dragon??? please reply.
+Tony Medina Actually it hasn't been revealed yet that Melisandre is that old, there were theories that she was secretly an old woman, and most theories suggest it was her necklace that performs that glamour, since in the books they emphasize that she is always wearing it. But we do not know for sure yet.
If Melisandre was a child when she was sold at Asshai, doesn't that contradict the assertion that "there are no children in Asshai"? Isn't that established canon?
Could be that she was able to withstand the environment either because of magic she did on the way there, or age as an emotional, and not physical thing. Or maybe she was trained someahere else (Volantis is most likely) and eventually made residence in Asshai
+juanviaraque Hardhome is still a bit of a mystery in the books, we don't know what happened for sure but Melisandre had a vision of a possible attack, and since the show had one it is probably going to happen in the books too.
juanviaraque Jon didn't lead the mission to Hardhome, he sent others. Jon was stabbed by his officers because he said he was going to break his vows and lead a volunteer army south.
+King Stannis "The Mannis" Baratheon Davos without fingers "My King, I saw the Bolton forces. They were headed that way." Stannis "Which way? Damn you Onion knight, am i going to have to start taking toes as well?!"
It's because when the first men went to Westeros some of them breeded with the children of the forest, giving them warging and greenseeing abilities. It doesn't happen to all people with the blood of the first men though.
I like how you always title Stannis the one true king of Westeros
Stannis the Mannis
ahahahahhahaha U R SO FUNNY DUDEEEEEEEEE
THE ONE TRUE KİNG STANNİS
Jacob Strandell &
Because well, under every law he is, part of why I love this channel so much
The explanation of Jon's resurrection being because he was worging with Ghost is so much better than the resurrection we see in the TV programme, I hope they tie this up because I thought the TV resurrection was so shit.

+1st508th Airborne :)
1st508th Airborne I love you dogs man
In a season 4 episode of the show Melisandre is in the bath without her glamour on and get she is not changed. continuity error?
Maybe, but they can also make up an explanation using magic, like maybe she purposely wanted to be seen without it, so it wouldn't seem suspicious she always wears it, and so performed a ritual to maintain her glamour form for a while without the necklace. +CivilizationEx awesome. thanks man!
+Rawrist is awesome
+Andrew Drow Yeah she is
shes ok i menan i watch her stuff but i like this guy better
I love your videos!! Especially those about history of Westeros! keep up the great work!
Great animations, also could you do a Discworld series?
Please :/\)
i can't remember....but why Renly thought he could be king? even by law, the elder brother inherits right? so he should had supported Stannis.
just because he had the backing of the Tyrells and their massive army because Renly was Ser Loras' lover
+Georgia Newman he still should have
+Pokoirl YaSe yes but Renly is dead and the Tyrell's then allied with the Lannisters and so no longer supported the Baratheon brothers claims to the throne
+Georgia Newman well .. It would have been a problem then
Oswaldo Lopez robert also didnt have a claim to throne, but he take it
Wendigo loves this content
Not that we'll ever see Jon Snow's resurrection. I've given up hope that the series will be finished.
0:25 Thats one fabulous great other
Love your videos.Man
Thoros and Mel and the red priests were some of the most interesting to me
if the children of the forest made the others does that mean that the old gods and R'hhlor are enemies?
There are stated similarities between the Wierwood Faces and the Many Faced God, who is associated with the Stranger, Lion of Night, and the Black Goat, who we can also safely speculate is connected to the Great Other. But I wouldn't go so far to say they are enemies, when the Long Night came, both the Lands of Always Winter and the Shadow Lands beyond Asshai were heralding it, both of which were magical lands of Ice and Fire. It's called a SONG of Ice and Fire, not a rivalry, but harmony, the magical force of encroaching night. It seems like all the magic in the show has some dark undertones.
i donno why but the black goat is such an awesome sounding name for a dark god. at least i assume its a dark god.
"In Qohor [they worship] the Black Goat...he feeds on blood offerings every day. On holy days, he is offered condemned criminals, and in times of great crisis, he may even be offered the nobles' children of the city to beg his protection. Does he accept their gift? Well, the city still stands."
―Jaqen H'ghar
That is only in the show.
a little bit different from the story told in the series games of throne
Bro I wish so much more has been shared. Like asshai is supposedly so dark and evil yet they are the only ones who recognize and attempt to fight the great evil!? Like dude I just wanna know more about Rhllor and Asshai

Awesome vid! But just a thing, it wasn't Varamyr she burned and went crazy, it was Orell :)
It was both actually, Orell was inside the Eagle she burned, but so was Varamyr, who was skinchanging into the animal at the time, Orell died and Varamyr went crazy.
What if really Bloodraven is the servant of the great Other and uses Bran for bad things ?
@CivilizationEx is awesome
+King Steffon Winchester XII :)
+CivilizationEx keep up the great work! love the voice it fits perfectly, great content and I'm always excited when I get the notification of a new video. Thanks :)

real recognizes real
Could Dawn, the sword of House Dayne be lightbringer? Cause since it is said to be made out of metal forged from the heart of a fallen star...it could radiate heat from the fallen star....
+Ujwal Jakhotiya It could be, it is definetly a candidate.
+CivilizationEx But they definitely have something else in mind in the show....they have skipped dawn completely...
Ujwal Jakhotiya True, the show will likely be different.
name of the music?
darude sandstorm
The theory about her age seems right, in the serie at least.
The best written character hands down!
You should read the new Arrianna chapter George RR Martin released today! :)
Do you think that she went with stannis because her visions saw the prince that was promised to be next in line to the throne but was wrong and it was actually Jon that was the prince that was promised since he is technically the targaereyen heir.
+Thig ar Latha 96 Very possible
Tbf, even assuming R+L=J, John is still a bastard
Libby Bollinger they could have got married...
Please help, Big Easter egg no one has said anything about (as far as I know). Changes everything!!! Never noticed that. I'll look into it
In the books does it say how she stays young? It is the necklace or is that just from the TV show?
+Tony Medina Actually it hasn't been revealed yet that Melisandre is that old, there were theories that she was secretly an old woman, and most theories suggest it was her necklace that performs that glamour, since in the books they emphasize that she is always wearing it. That awkward moment when your name is Courtenay and you find out that GRRM had a character named Cortnay.
did the hardhome battle happen in the books? does anyone know?
+juanviaraque Hardhome is still a bit of a mystery in the books, we don't know what happened for sure but Melisandre had a vision of a possible attack, and since the show had one it is probably going to happen in the books too.
+CivilizationEx So jon hasn't yet led the wildlings past the wall ? And was only betrayed for impliying he was gonna invade winterfell?
juanviaraque Jon didn't lead the mission to Hardhome, he sent others. Jon was stabbed by his officers because he said he was going to break his vows and lead a volunteer army south.
nice
Rawrist is hot AF

Burrito Supremacy
Firstly: *heading
Secondly: LOL
Um...........Wasn't Selyse converted long before Melisandra even meet Stannis?
How are children connected with bran and bloodraven. Check out the video to know :P :P
It's because when the first men went to Westeros some of them breeded with the children of the forest, giving them warging and greenseeing abilities. It doesn't happen to all people with the blood of the first men though.
so will a stone dragon be awaken with jons blood
Me
A very short video for someone really important on the GOT history. Huge dislike.
