    The best decision of my life was to buy this bike! I was deciding between BMW S1000R and the Tuono

    Literally bought this same bike in the same year 2 months ago. In typical Italian fashion it broke down one month after owning it. After trying to fix it myself for a month I took it to a dealer. The main wiring harness had worn through and shorted out against the frame. Glad I bought the extended warranty for a used bike (bike had 5,500 miles on it). Still love it more than any other bike I've owned but she is a finicky girl.

    Loving mine. Toured England to Germany, did Nurburgring, did IOM TT and a cheeky track day in the mix and the Aprilia took it in its stride

    This certainly is a bike I do want to own. Thank you for your review. It really helped focus on my future bike. I currently have a 2003 Kawasaki z1000. It has 80,000 miles and I just rebuilt the motor but the Tuono 1100 abs looks amazing for my need for speed, ergonomics, and trackability.
    I hope it fits me, out of the box

    I fell in love with my tuono in the showroom , I had never seen a bike so amazing , and never knew of this model . I bought it only to find out that it's probably one of the best lookers ever and one of the fastest to and with a soundtrack to die for with the Akroprovic ...

    Hey Adam, any chance of you reviewing the 2017 Dorsoduros and Shivers? There are very few recent high quality reviews of these bikes around.

    Great review. Most are a waste of time and an insult to your intelligence if you have some.. This was good, entertaining and informative. Thanks!

    A little late to the party on this great review. Can you comment on engine heat and whether it affects rider comfort? Thanks!

    Great review. Not a promotional piece. Real-world perspective. When cruising around the city, does engine heat become annoying or uncomfortable on a hot day ya think?

    Got to take one of these Animals out today. Holy hell. Felt like at around 5,000 rpm the bike wants to do a backflip Lol. If the ergonomics were any less aggressive Id say the bike wouldn't even be rideable. Or you would have to heavily adjust your body position to compensate for the crazy amount of torque the bike has. So fun though. Easily one of the coolest bikes ever and the sound really is unreal. Well done Aprilia.

      Correct. There were a couple bugs in the last version. So we fixed them and re-uploaded this video. We'll try to do it right the first time.

    Sachs as good as the fancy stuff for fast road use ?

    • @AdamWaheed
      @AdamWaheed 6 лет назад

      I think so - the biggest thing with the Sachs stuff is the damping range is usually pretty short. There's not a lot of adjustment in those things and they are generally valved pretty "fast".

      Adam Waheed hey thanks for the reply Adam. Harshness in the suspension is one of my pet hates, along with a snatchy on/off throttle. Nice compliant, adjustable suspension and a smooth throttle response are very high on my list of qualities when shopping for a bike. Do you know if the factory and RR are sprung any different ? I'm at 190lb BTW. Cheers , kev
