Another great review Rennie, nice standup wheelie through that tunnel too mate 😉. I was contemplating one of these but went for the ‘21 Z-H2. Keep up the great content!
Had mine for a few months now, absolutely love it. You guys get them so much cheaper than we do in the UK (over 25,000 dollars, 18K GBP). Good video :)
@@kylepoma Not drastically. Where you see big improvements in braking is usually in the master-cylinder. The M50's are an excellent caliper, and if you throw a proper racing master-cylinder on there you'll have incredible brakes. The Stylema's are an evolution of the M50's.
@@cyclenews do you know what master cylinder the Tuono comes with? What you’d recommend as an upgrade? I pick up my 2021 V4 preorder next week, trying to plan my upgrades.
@@kylepoma Honestly, the brakes work great. But if you want to go further, I used a Brembo 19/18 billet radial master-cylinder on my Pikes Peak Tuono a couple of years ago. Absolutely awesome. Not much more power, but lots more feel at the lever.
curious on your take on Factory vs "touring" re comfort settnigs on the suspension. I like a somewhat plusher ride but one that stiffens when you need it to. I've heard some argue each is better suited to that. As an aging (>50) who is still trying to carve but dont need to feel every bump in the asphalt, is there one that does the job better. I reckon you can put risers on the factory to change the ergos and et them both similar that way Ans the rider pegs are in the same position on both, correct ... just the passenger pegs get adjusted down on the non-factory? (trying to combine a speed triple and a BMW RS - lol)
approx 200km before reserve which is worth maybe 40km on top. Range is probably better than the MT10 'touring' pack, which is what it's comparable against, not the caponord before it.
Is it a Euro 5 emissions thing or a US thing? If it's Euro 5 the changes usually apply globally, but the S1000RR and Fireblade SP having their balls lopped off in the US wasn't Euro 5.
Not entierly. They need to be complied as Euro 5 to sell anywhere in Europe, so that's become the global standard for manufacturers. When they come to the U.S, they need a bunch of extra stuff on top to curb primarily noise regulations. This is especially where the BMW suffers.
@@cyclenews No worries, I'm in Oz. That's why I'm interested in whether the changes to the Tuono are Euro 5 (in which case it'd be the same here) or US specific.
no, the base version is simply to provide a greater differentiation between it and the factory rather than just being on price. it is more street friendly all around vs the factory which IMO makes sense, as if u want a track bike you'd have the rsv4. It's not competing with a multistrada, that job was for the cancelled caponord 1200. What will be interesting is whether aprilia do the same thing and adapt the v4 for a new capo successor. I doubt that's where their focus is on at the moment, but it would be a cool bike.
Its good looking, not great. What new bike is beautiful to look at? The late 80's, 90's early 2000's sports bikes were awesome looking. The newer bikes just don't look as good.
@@f1hotrod527 All subjective. I think the Tuono Factory is nice looking, and of the Nakeds probably the best looking as I find the Speed RS and StreetFighter a bit "thrown together", the KTM just ugly (that exhaust is hideous) and the s1000r fugly (and I own a 17 s1000r, and I think that is better looking than the 21 s1000r). Move to the sport bike quicker kissing cousins, however, and I think the Ducati and BMW are stunning and the RSV slightly less so. But the sound...Aprilia and KTM have that nailed.
Hello Rennie, always waiting for your videos! All the best from Moscow, Russia.
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying them.
Love the honesty about the flat spots of the euro5 bikes.
Nice review, thanks a lot. Love this new Tuono so am seriously thinking of ordering one…. Appreciated. 👍
you too old buddy
Nice work as ever Renski. Good to see that sunburnt face again!!
Great vid mate as usual, and even better stand up .

Whats the fuel consumption like
@@heibaimao Around 120 miles on a tank of fuel (if ridden sensibly). I can get it below 100 miles, riding hard :)
Tax.... South of Europe even more than the uk....
great review 👍
I dont think the tuono V4 gets stylemas, it's got the M50s like the last year.
Yes, you are correct. I messed that part up.
@@cyclenews how much better are the stylemas?

Haven't heard anyone talk about the base "touring" model's fuel range. Presumably, it's terrible?
175 bhp
@@Rlindagem Fuel range in bhp, that's a first.

Disconnect the servo cables and leave the exhaust flap open, flat spot pretty well then solved. Just be sure to lockwire just incase :)
I have the standard model in silver and the aprilia dealer said if I disconnected the exhaust valve the warranty would be void.
@@Seale-en2fp Yep, can confirm that - you look at the bike the wrong way and Aprilia voids the warranty. The bike is great, the company not so much...
@@joaosoares3719 That may be across manufacturers due to Euro 5 regs. I don't know ... just speculating.
Get the Race ECU and disable the flap and dont worry, be happy 😉
You think they’ll put the RSV4 engine in the tuono??
Sadly not.
yes aprilia group the black cat 2022 oke bos
Shift by feel!
