Bungie announced they were removing orbs on speakers sight in a future update but it can be done faster
For pvp mostly but yeah & with trials being released tomorrow, It'll be a monster in ToO for sure if it aint disabled asap

I just don’t understand that if they are removing the orb of power drops they should make a change that still does something different maybe some sort of a way to get more grenade energy when the turret is up or something
@@solarflarearmor2081thing is though. I don’t even utilize the orb generation with my PvP teams. We do well enough and the healing is what keeps us going. The orbs did help me get my grenade back a bit faster, but it was negligible and we never used them for anything else so I’m still going to be rocking this in PvP.

Realistically you're doing this to get free armor charges at the start of a match. Sure it's still a head start, but not a whole super.

In high end activities like Trials, getting even one or 2 extra orbs at the very start for armor charges can swing a match pretty heavily.
The turret only gives orbs on heals! Lol you can't be full health getting orbs.... and I wouldn't think ppl would sit there wasting heavy or special ammo to self harm just for the orb....could be killed in that time

This is funny but this won't work too well in a Crucible match, chances are it stays like this until the patch
If you take the helmet on and off it speeds up orb generation.
If you swap on and off the helmet you can make orbs with no cooldown using the same method
The interesting part of this exploit regarding the Speaker helm, is how do you patch this? Build an entire system just to check for damage from ricochet rounds? How would they fix this internally?
Man, the playtesters and everyone on the QA team, sighing and drinking the tenth cup coffee/redbull/energy drink, because Cheese is at it again.
This is not an exploit or a glitch, it's just a feature of ricochet rounds and the helmet working as intended. Likewise with Still Hunt gaining Retribution on orb pickup.
Is it too strong? Yeah, it has the same vibes as old Geomags or triple Behemoth where it encourages a one-sided, unhealthy playstyle. But no individual part of this video would get the Exotic(s) disabled.
Arguably, the orb generation isn't even inherently broken either, but it is incredibly strong. IMO the main issue is that it just ticks too many boxes by itself when working in conjunction with the Artifact this season.
Putting aside the healing and restoration that is typical of the turret, the Artifact lets you gain Kinetic Surges, Radiant (via the artifact mod), and Eyes Up, Guardian x7 (Khvostov's exotic perk) all with one orb at once. That is a criminal amount of buffs to be stacking all at once, and it can get even crazier with certain combinations.
Again, it's not like one individual part of this Exotic helmet is buggy or broken or an exploit, it's just a crazily high amount of strong effects to all synergize at once-and it feels overwhelming to deal with if you're expecting a normal Crucible match.

@@MumboJumboZXC As far as I know, that's not been stated anywhere. All that's listed is that they're disabling orb generation in PvP in the short-term, and long-term they're looking at ways for the Exotic to generate orbs that aren't so common (I assume a 'Guardians that you Heal gaining Final Blows spawns an orb' trigger, for instance).
They’re planning to nerf the orbs next week and skilled players won’t do this because it’s just an easy way to lose area control or get picked off. The problem with Speaker’s Sight was doing essentially this but mid firefight and on the zone/area of interest.

Actually it gets worse, the orb regeneration can be faster if you take off the helmet and put it back on everytime an orb is generated.
