Yeah you need to take the dash hood off to get to the circle bit. It's actually easily you just flip up the centre speaker and there's a screw and then the whole thing comes off where you can access the screws for the circle bit Also you could add a magnet in the inside of the circle bit and it would hold your phone 😅
Your awesome thank you for the advice on that I was clueless on how to get to it without actually the whole top piece. With it just being the cluster hood that isn’t so bad 😬 appreicate that man! And great idea with the magnet! I just don’t want to scratch the carbon 😭

I have a regular elantra, 2023. I really like a lot of the mods you guys do, and was curious if the parts on your linkrtree are compatible with the regular elantra. Also, do you guys have any videos showing how to hardwire something to this car? I have some footwell lights i want to hardwire, but I know little about it and don’t want to break any of the interior trim.
We do have a video on hardwiring our dashcam that maybe able to help you out on where you want to use a fuse tap for. And for the parts the only thing that would fit would be the fenders, front emblem cover, and maybe some of the interior pieces but I’m not sure on your layout. I know we have some slight differences.
How’d you remove the bar part when you skipped the part of you taking out the center console? Im trying to wrap parts of that and the cup holders but can’t figure out how to get them off
I just want a lay over real carbon fiber parts. Having to take it all out is silly since it’s all for looks anyways. Would cut the price in half. Hopefully SoCal makes just the layover parts.
The overlay parts look tacky even if it is real carbon fiber. It’s not silly at all since this is the correct way to do it lol. They won’t make overlay seeing they never have before.
@@KDMStation I had it in both my mustangs. Looks perfect. Of course the fake stuff looks trash lol. But real overlay carbon fiber is awesome for the looks. It’s awesome they make this kit though, I just can’t justify paying more for replacement parts if it’s not doing anything. Shots gonna look amazing in the sunlight though.
They don’t look the same at all. I’ve been in cars with the overlays and there is a difference between the two. Not saying the carbon overlays are bad but the depth part isn’t there with overlays.
That's because they're obviously not real carbon fiber but for the price difference and amount of work you save on they look damn close. If you're not running a show car like yours then idk who's getting that close to judge the difference. They also don't void warranties and since I'm not as good of a mechanic as you seem to be or as comfortable taking apart my whole car like you are then the overlays are the choice to be had. To be fair though i do love watching your vids and seeing how the car comes apart. I have a lot of them saved in a folder on here and once I'm out of warranty i plan on doing more work like this to my 22 DCT model. Its all love and all preference. @@KDMStation

This really doesn’t flow with much of the interior in our car since we are getting rid of the piano black. If people like the scratch prone black by all means. But it wasn’t for us.
You can’t go wrong with a basic kit from harbor freight to get started. I purchased a craftsman 200 piece set on sale and have just added to it with things it didn’t have. A lot of my add ons are all harbor freight tools. Like ratchet style wrenches and what not.
You guy's should do an update on how to setup the Ek1, showing how and where to setup the tune. Since 6ixth no longer sells the spare ECU

If I’m not mistaken there is an indentation near the handle meets the dash. I put my pry tool in there and it came apart.

what brand is that phone magnet holder that you have.
The one that was on the existing blank piece we got through sxth when we ordered the ek1 pro. Amazon looks to have similar ones though.

Carbon piece that replaces the death star side looks terrible. At least the death star was gloss black and flowed across the entire dash
