great resource, about to do my wheel tonight! in the footage of you finishing the install and clipping the airbag back into place, the bolt to secure the steering wheel isn't on. you guys went back and bolted it right?

Had a 2001 Tiburon that had tons of modifications back when finding quality aftermarket parts for a Hyundai was a real challenge. I look forward to more great videos!
How do you spin your steering wheel ? Mines completely locked when I disconnect the battery, only way I can turn my steering wheel is if I have the ignition on

Does the center bolt need to be torqued down or just hand fighting with and a breaker bar good i ask cause i am buying tools for this and wanna know if i can hold off on the torque wrench for now for this install?
I didn’t use a torque wrench on either of my wife’s or my Veloster N. I’m sure there is a torque spec for it but I just made sure that it was tight. I wouldn’t use a breaker bar to tighten it though. You can easily overtighten it without realizing how much pressure your putting with the breaker bar. I would get a good 1/2” ratchet go give you leverage.
I watched this video a while ago when it came out and I love the content but quick question, do you still get to use the heated steering wheel function???
I know I’m late and I’ve seen this video a lot but I’m abt to buy this steering wheel for my en from so cal garage dies the air bay section come with that silver Hyundai emblem?
@@vurshawn1358 they only send you the steering wheel so you use your original steering wheel. The diamond accents are from Amazon. And it’s carbon fiber around the steering wheels

yeah I noticed that after and had to remove the airbag again lol.
I hope you can explain how to change the steering wheel tape.

That’s awesome! This is our 4th Hyundai and with no regrets! We love Hyundai. They have definitely proved themself in the car industry.

You have to really turn it by hand and it’ll move.
How long did it take you to receive? I ordered mine about a month and 5 days ago and it just says "Steering wheel Orders" on their tracking
Steering wheel took around 4 months for me to get. 3-4 months is the average lead time for a custom steering wheel.

I never saw you put back the center steering bolt
Lol our camera lost the footage so I uploaded without it. I figured if people didn’t know to put that bolt back on then there is no help for them lol
How about changing that horn in the Elantra N. I hate the factory horn. Lol

And I want ask what the actual MPG Elantra N in City / Hwy.
Depends on how you drive to be honest. Today I was hitting 33 for interstate/city for my commute. Most days I average around 27-28 MPG.
@@fusion1201 i average around 27 as well. 45 min highway commute for me but i do drive a little heavy on the throttle around town

Does the heated steering wheel still work for the carbon wheel?
We don’t get a heated steering wheel option in America. But yes they can make it to retain the hearing function.
Is that the carbon with alcantara leather option?

Lol you can buy a nice universal steering wheel for that. This is around $700-$1000 depending on what you want.
