Father Kino was assigned to establish missions with fertile ground to raise beef
His experience as a topographer was the reason why he was chosen. no doubt he was a compassionate man who understood the value of negotiation.

That’s almost to hard to believe. Spain claimed or was in the Philippines in 1521. The video says their father priest was born in 1645 or something. Like over a century later Spain finally finds Cali isn’t an island.
I’m skeptical merely because I’ve seen videos that say the native Americans or some tribes say California was an island. It’s possible. If water kept running up the valley and an earthquake caused land to raise it’d cause the water to rush out.
Look at Utah and Colorado and the Colorado plate uplift. Idk. I need to read more about it but some say Cali was an island long ago.
Look at Bolivia and some of those artifacts like tumupunku. There’s a fresh water lake with sea horses in it and sharks. It seems it was at sea level and then just went straight up due to an earthquake or tectonic plates or something. Like ya sea horses in a fresh water lake at 10000 feet or something is kind of crazy.

No, the video got that right. Baja California is surrounded by water on three sides, and it wasn't clear whether the Sea of Cortez communicated with the Pacific Ocean in the north. When Fr. Kino climbed mountains that allowed him to view the northern end of the Sea of Cortez he knew that California was part of North America. Your examples are about changes in geologic time, not anything that's changed in the last few hundred years.

    I can't believe I missed this one 😂😂
Kino was a Jesuit just like the Pope Francis. That organization has decades of existence.
