Mr. Wyatt ''Put your HAND down and stop asking STUPID questions!'' The first school I had been to where they humiliated students and still gave boys the cane. When told that I DID have to ''BOTHER'' with what remained with long division answers because 'What would happen if you wanted to make curtains for a window and bought too much material by mistake?'' I said, genuinely, that I would just make matching cushion covers...and was accused of giving cheek. So thankful we were posted interstate just in time for starting high school.....still behind in maths. I'm 67 now and still have maths anxiety in public situations though I don't otherwise.

People should be interviewed not based on qualifications alone but also to ensure they have clear English so that others can understand them, primarily as teachers. Some are so selfish, forgetting not only local student sitting in the class and showing their preference sometimes based on your ability to speak locally as they do. So unfair
