Most of the properties you talk about are in very popular places. I live in Eastern Ky which is not highly touristy, but there are some good trails and other natural resources. Would it be a bad idea to open an air bnb here? Most of the air bnbs in my area aren't booked out more than 2 weeks in advance. Only three places are the size I am looking at and are getting lots of bookings. Do you have any advice? I appreciate all the content you give out for free, it has helped me build the confidence I have need to get this for.
In Puerto Vallarta a lot of owners block out availability in their units when they use it. How can I tell whether it is rented or owner occupied when considering buying into a building?
that can be counted as "paid dates" if you don't intend to let. anyone block your calendar. it's being paid for, in the form of lost revenues for the owner.
Puerto Ricos hurricane season(also low season) gets affected by cancellations of hurricane scares, this takes you out of the first page even if you are a super host and guest favorite. Any recommendations on how to beat that?
you're saying that in a local search, that local cancellations during hurricane season cause an also drop to the "some listings" that get cancelled? 1.) book direct in this season to control cancels and terms 2.) have a flexible cancellation so there's no beef in this season to get knocked down the ladder with 3.) create a separate hurricane season listing
@@AirbnbAutomated Thanks! I've been in the first page for months now, running at 95-100% full calendar and getting booked 6months In advanced(a big part is thanks to your tips) but in hurricane season I got so many cancellations and got knocked to the fourth page(with a flexible cancellation policy)
