Love your insight into the history of Prince , The Time , been a huge fan of Prince since the early 80's , love from Eire .
Prince wrote and produced (even played the music on the records) for The Time. The music is all part of his catalogue.

We went to Vegas in April 2024, and wanted to see a show , and we heard about this show called “ Purple Reign “ that was a Prince impersonator, so we all got tickets , and we all thought it was gonna be so bad and and cheesy, but it was actually pretty good! The guy that played Prince could sing and play guitar, his band was just as good , and his band also backed up two guys that played Morris and Jerome, and they were pretty good too! They had 3 guys playing Vanity/ Apples 6 , but they were just ok. But we really had a good time and throughly it was worth the money. If you go to Vegas , the show used to be at the Tropicana , which is currently being torn down, so now it is at Planet Hollywood in the “ V Theater “ . There is a preview of the show on RUclips.

If you listen to Play In The Sunshine on Sign of the Times album,Prince says “The color green will make your best friend leave you,It’ll make you do the walk” jab at Morris.
