    Im a motorhead at heart, retired now. On a fixed budget at todays prices have made it very difficult to partake in restoring or high performance builds. Its crazy

    Nice work!
    Have you considered putting a small air line on your MIG welding gun? Small button back a bit with a metal nozzle to blow at the weld to cool it down. This way, you can cool it down without having to pick up another tool.

    You live in NC ,right ? Who taught you these techniques? This is some of the techniques I was taught when I was growing up. I also live in NC

      Yes, mostly my Dad, he was a pipe welder, also self taught on the car fab stuff!!!!

    Just a mini sand blast on the inside would make it last a bit longer.
