ACTUALLY I'm glad it was cut because in the allegory, if charles had hit human!David who's possessed by the demon, it would have been charles beating another victim of the abuser, not the actual abuser, confirming crystal and charles' fears about charles becoming violent. whereas him smashing the mirrors is him helping smash the warped self-perception crystal is getting from the demon's voice planting those thoughts in her head
