Always good to get tips from locals who know the park well and have plenty of visits under their belt. Any reasonable person would expect bigger queues and longer waits in the holidays, even without adding sunshine and restrictions into the mix.
Cracking tips Scott, thanks. Making a trip down a week on Saturday for my wife’s birthday without the kids! Keen to hear about the speedy passes to maximise our trip.
This is fantastic, thank you so much! Got my first ever trip to Pleasure Beach booked in a few weeks - thought I was clever booking a Monday then realised it’s the day everything’s meant to open back up in England lmao, so this is definitely the advice I needed!
couldn't of said it better my self us enthusiasts must think alike as i have been following your advice for years it really is the way forward at pleasure beach , i normally get streak avalanche rev and steeple all done in less than half hour while all the sheep are on the big one .
It was great meeting you at Pleasure Beach yesterday Scott and Big Mike we got on loads using Easy Pass but I think Speedy Pass is just as good when it’s busy I do agree with the tips here I think Nick Streak should be done first because it only has 1 train
Some great tips here! Couldn't believe the amount of moaning I saw about how busy the park was last week - it was school holidays and the weather was glorious, what do people expect?! So much negativity about at the moment!
Unfortunately people love to complain rather than actually enjoy themselves, you'd think that mindset would have been removed given the year we've all had. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Good advice . I've booked speedy passes when been to pleasure Beach with our grandchildren . It's certainly worth paying the extra for them,as you know what kids are like queuing they soon get fed up mine do,and they get to go on more rides
Great video. Wholeheartedly agree with 99% of it. The only thing I would draw attention to is that speedy pass plus seatbelts on Icon has slashed its throughput so I now do it much earlier in the day than beforehand. I waited 2 and a half hours for it the other day while PMBO was at around 40 minutes, shifting the queue excellently.
Whilst I agree it’s slower to queue for now, I still wouldn’t wait for it first thing whilst other rides are walk on. Thank you for watching and commenting ☺️

If you don't mind the cold weather then going on a Sunday in December is fantastic, I went this weekend (and saw you guys there) and every ride was literally walk on. Wrap up warm and just go on ride after ride.
Wish I saw this when I went! I mucked up my day quite a bit. Had only gotten on 1 ride (icon) and it was 4:30, luckily redeemed it a bit at the end and got on The big one n got on infusion 4 times
Went to Blackpool on the 4th of June 2021. We arrived at 10am opening time and chose to queue for the big one first (wish I had seen this video beforehand!). We waited just over an hour for our turn. Overall we managed to do about 10 rides over a period of 6 hours but didn't manage to get on ICON because people told us they had queued for 1.5 hours. I was a bit gutted but we had to leave.
Great advice! Used this technique before and it definitely works! I absolutely hate the media at the moment! There presenting the park really badly! ‘Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach breaks down near the top forcing people to climb down’! It makes it sound like it was such an awful event! In reality, the ride started again shortly after, guests were given a water bottle and fast passes! People pay to walk the big one, these lot get it for free. I’d quite like to walk down the big one stairs 😂😂.
Great tips here Scott, I have been following the same order of rides and I have been beating the queues! Do love the park on a busy day as the atmosphere is fantastic😀
Im going tmrw 18th March, it says its an off peak time and doubt fast pass will be available, do you think i will have no problem getting on all of the coasters?
Icon was horrendous on bank holiday Monday. 50% speedy pass users. Queued 2 hours, including 1 hour from the gates (which should be 30mins). They need to reduce the amount of speedy pass users, the park can't cope. We didn't even attempt the big one. Avalanche on the other hand was shifting its queue well all day. Why? No speedypass on avalanche this year.
My advice will just go midweek when the kids are in school. Especially on a Monday. All rides will be nearly walk on.. Go tomorrow, noone will hardly be there... My Mrs went on icon 12 times last time on a Monday. Just lapped it.
@@yourexperienceguide only giving my opinion Scott.. I understand its hard if you have kids.. But it's the only way if you want zero que time.. But again only really valid if no children with you.
I tell you what annoys me, the fact people are slamming bpb just because rides stop. I love pleasure beach and have and always will defend it to the end, plus I used to be a ride operator in Scotland, so I know why the rides have probably stopped. It people who don't know how the rides work that seem to "know what they're talking about", but really do. The rides are running 7hrs straight 7days a week 12 hrs on late night riding. Bpb is my favorite place in the entire world. I have mental health issues and will take the 2hr drive to get to bpb and all my problems are gone. I will defend bpb when rides stop. I'm not bothered about long queues. I'm a proud season pass holder, I can come as much as I want, when I want. Besides with rides like big one and icon, the wait is worth it. Thanks for these videos.
The only time we have ever gotten on the big one is first thing in the morning 😂. Going next week, it's such a fun day out, I wonder when Valhalla will reopen! ❤️
I’ve got to say. I went on an a day that was absolutely packed. We always park next to the Sandcastle but it was full. For the whole day, we got on Avalanche, Wallace, Airbender, Grand National, Big Dipper, Steeple Chase, Derby Racers. They extended the hours until 7pm. Although I have a season pass, I used to have a MAP and the difference is stark. The GN broke down with people evacuated. That would not of happened at any Merlin attraction, it would of been down all day (at least). BPB genuinely feels like a fair deal. Lots of rides and a fair gate price. Food is pretty cheap - in comparison to other theme parks. At DMP for example I paid £6 for 6 chicken nuggets,
My biggest complaint with Pleasure Beach would be the catering, pricing is fine but it can take too long to get served sometimes. I do think Pleasure Beach offers an excellent day out at great value.
I loved what you said towards the end of the video about the ride break downs I live in America and it all over the place the first time the Big One broke down this year and I just didn't understand the big deal everything worked exactly as it was supposed to I just don't know why things like that are getting so much publicity this year when it happens all the time
@@yourexperienceguide right I agree and it went one for at least a week here Every day a new article or video about it on tv and making it sound so much worse that it actually was
Enjoyable video, I'd usually second this advice but sadly beating the queues just wasn't possible on bank holiday weekend. We arrived at the park early on both Saturday and Sunday, and yet absolutely nothing was ready to open except for Blue Flyer on Saturday, and Flying Machines on Sunday. I fully understand that, on some occasions, rides can't always open at the usual time, but this was literally the entire park bar one or two rides. I've never known anything like it in all honesty, especially considering the park was so busy. PB is a park I adore and have a lot of time for, but it was simply not possible to have an enjoyable day on the Sunday due to the ridiculously late openings (1 ride available in the first hour when the park is rammed), early closures and early park closing time. By the time the rides finally opened at/around 11am, the queues outside the entrances were enormous. As stated, we arrived early to maximise the first hour on both days and, particularly on the Sunday, BPB utterly let us down. It was almost excusable on Saturday due to the 10pm close, but Sunday was 6pm, busier than Saturday and three rides in north park closed at 5. It was an utterly miserable day and the worst I've ever had at BPB.
Sadly, I have to agree with @ Theme Park Updates and all comments mentioned by them is exactly how it was. Bank holiday Sunday was the worst day ever experienced at BPB. With the late opening of most rides, poor/slow running of some rides. 30 minute Speedy Pass queues on Icon!!! (Monday was marginally improved!) It is great to see Blackpool and the Pleasure Beach busy after the last 14+ months we've all had, but come on BPB - you really MUST do better than this. People pay good money, but sadly they did not have the good experience expected. BPB let itself down and more importantly let it's customers down. On a good day BPB is by far the best in the UK, in my opinion, and cannot be beaten. Hopefully bank holiday Sunday and Monday were just an awful blip and better services will resume... PLEASE.
I have to agree seems within the BPB fan base, it’s relentless defending even though bank holiday weekend was really bad! Fair enough non covid but covid, should be a bit quieter than it was
@@mattloveys9718 Imo the busy-ness of the park wasn't the issue, they need to be busy, the problem was the way the park was running with that amount of people. If everything had been open on time, throughputs better on The Big One and Icon, and better opening hours on the Sunday it would have made all the difference.
I'm just giving advice based on what has always worked for me, including on the late night riding event I've been to so far this season. There is currently an issue with some things opening slightly later than usual but I do know why and I know it will not be an ongoing issue.
In reply to Matt, why are we not allowed to 'defend' the Pleasure Beach if we feel the park is getting an unfair/unreasonable amount of complaints? We're fans of the park, we'll support the park as best we can whilst remaining constructive, we're not going to moan about it being busy instead try to encourage people to get on more rides by following a tried and trusted method. BPB are well within their rights to let the amount of people in that have been going in, it's a fraction of what they'd be get outside of covid times.
I went last weekend and it was absolutely full to the brim. They 100% breached capacity. I arrived at normal time and only managed 3 rides. We queued for 2hrs 50mins for the Big One, only to get seated and be told we had to leave as the ride had technical faults. This was at the end of the day. The pathways were so busy and full, it was horrendous, I’ve never seen it this busy. I understand the park has missed so much funding over the last 15+ months but that day out was completely unenjoyable, I’m avoiding the park for the time being.
What didn’t help was the operations, mainly due to guests not paying attention to signage. I got on Icon and there was a woman and child behind, child without a mask, and the ride staff asked them to get off. This altercation took around 10 minutes and the same thing happened on Infusion. I can imagine this being the main reason when there were multiple stand stills. The rides kept coming to a stop too which wasn’t helpful. The park definitely put too much pressure on itself and it reflected in the staff morale, it was clear staff weren’t at their best, which was a shame
Can you show they breached capacity? With actual evidence? I’m just curious because they get fined for doing so and are being monitored like all places to make sure they stick to the rules. It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that it has been busy during a very hot half term week. Thank you for watching and commenting
@@yourexperienceguide I didn’t take any pictures because peoples faces would be in and the faff of gaining consent wouldn’t be worth it hahah! I know it’s a small park and the paths are narrow like. I’m not raising a formality about a breach or anything, purely giving my opinion. Your advice on this video would have been impossible on a day like the day I went, but I’ll be sure to remember in the future ;)
This is extremely useful! What order would you recommend for someone with mobility issues? I dont use a stick or wheelchair but cant stand for long periods of time. Also how easy are the rides to get on/into? Thanks and hopefully one day i get to meet you awesome people!
I have to admit, as someone who only visits the park once a year at most these days (sometimes not even that) the last couple of times I've opted for Speedy Pass. For me, when you break the total cost down to 'cost per ride' it works out relatively cheap considering it's a once in a year or so treat. However, if I lived closer and could do the park a few times each year, I'd forego Speedy Pass and adopt the sort of advice you give in this video :) I appreciate fast pass schemes divide opinion, so hopefully no offence caused!
Where would you say the quickest place for food is when it’s busy? We were there BH Monday, we did ok for rides as I remember a similar video to this one a while ago, but we waited ages for lunch
i will never go when the school are out . was there on the 2/6/21 and it was rammed . the queues were running very slow with all the fast track ticket holder. at 12:00 the smaller rides had a queue time of 1 hour 30 minutes icon and big one you was looking at 3 hours minimum. sorry but i would not queue that long for free never mind paying £35 for the pleasure. if you have too go in holiday time book early and pay the fast track TAX . i have loved going to blackpool for the last 50 years . this experience has put off going back..i emailed them no response. .
@@yourexperienceguide your right .But there is still rules for out side gatherings in the uk which i think are a little bit ott But had it been a outdoor music concert that packed .It would have been shut down before it even started ..Around the big dipper all the way past the avalanche was shoulder to shoulder.
I do the same when I visit Cedar Point, makes sense to do it.
Great advice - thank you

Hi PBE, do you have any idea why the Avalanche music doesn’t play anymore outside or in the queue?
It’s back on now
This is really helpful 👍
Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching and commenting!

Where would you say the quickest place for food is when it’s busy? We were there BH Monday, we did ok for rides as I remember a similar video to this one a while ago, but we waited ages for lunch
Unfortunately nowhere is fast for food at BPB
Oh 😳. Thanks for replying 😊
yes it was usefull cause i have an old phone,so i still can get wristband on booking on request im i right in saying that
Thank you for watching and commenting 😁
Could have used this when I went Wednesday and couldn’t get on ANYTHING 😭
Why couldn’t you get on anything?
I went recently got on 4 rides national, dipper, icon and then streak had a 30min wait to get in park and just got longer from there
Did you arrive late?
@@yourexperienceguide nope got there at 10:05
Park usually open their gates before 10 on a 10am opening, rides are on staggered openings.
Thank you what alice ride and river caves
This is mainly a guide about doing the coasters, but do those later in the day they both shift their queues
so what order do you recommend if you don’t mind which ride to go in
What do you mean?
This is very helpful thank you

@@yourexperienceguide I’m staying in the big blue so now I no I don’t have to rush about as I have 2 days
How busy do you think it will be in late June when only Scottish schools are off?
Also Mike looked so happy on the ghost train 🤣
Not sure in truth. Thank you for watching and commenting ☺️
Do you think it will be quieter this week?
Midweek, yeah, not sure about the weekend
Where do you park Scott?
Wherever is available and free
is there a list for each ride opening / closing times?
Not that I know of but each ride opening and closing time is advertised at the ride entrance
i will never go when the school are out . was there on the 2/6/21 and it was rammed . the queues were running very slow with all the fast track ticket holder. at 12:00 the smaller rides had a queue time of 1 hour 30 minutes icon and big one you was looking at 3 hours minimum. sorry but i would not queue that long for free never mind paying £35 for the pleasure. if you have too go in holiday time book early and pay the fast track TAX . i have loved going to blackpool for the last 50 years . this experience has put off going back..i emailed them no response. .
Did you expect the Pleasure Beach to be quiet during half term week?
@@yourexperienceguide your right .But there is still rules for out side gatherings in the uk which i think are a little bit ott But had it been a outdoor music concert that packed .It would have been shut down before it even started ..Around the big dipper all the way past the avalanche was shoulder to shoulder. I'm sorry but there was too many people in the park . i have loved going since I was a kid. but this time it was not a pleasant experience and will pick my day to visit better next time ..
I was told you can’t get wristbands
You can get them as an alternative but it has to be organised on the day. You still need to book in advance.
guttered, was in the line for the big one and the ride breaks down for the second time in the week
Are you sure it broke down and wasn't a controlled stoppage for wheel checking?
@@yourexperienceguide not sure, we were just told that the ride was closed then it was on the news saying it had broken down
you worded the computer doing its job so well 😛😏
Ok?
@@yourexperienceguide I just mean i never thought of it the way you said it. the computer doing its job. People give stoppages on theme park rides so much hate but it is quite litterly the computer doing its job, it detects a fault and stops the ride. would you rater it stops the ride or go round it in possible danger. I'd rather wait till its safe, that's sorta what I mean by it. not meaning it in a bad way.
Fair enough, I wasn’t sure on the context of the original comment. Thank you!
