I actually think the end was handled verywell and not rushed at all. With the fetch quest being mostly a excuse to get noas extension quest in there.as lso the fetch quest took me like 10 minutes.) but I mean you can't possible agree with someone on everything right? Playing this game at launch was an experience. I basically played it like it was my job - woke up, played, had lunch, played, made sure I went on a walk, then went home and played it until bed. Never thrown myself so much into a game before. I played it so much I started dreaming about traveling with the characters. It was incredible, and I'll never forget the joy of that first playthrough.
I’m so glad they’re making Xenoblade more and more of a mainstay staple. From saving XC3’s reveal for the end of a direct, and even giving XC3 its own line of Amiibos.
That "fight in order to live" takes me back Xenoblade 3 was the second xeno experience I got to experiment all the hype, xenoblade 2 was my first xeno game and definitive edition was the first time I was truly hyped for the series and when that xenoblade 3 trailer dropped I lost my mind

Oh man, the launch day was one of the best days of my life. I was at a Christian camp and I had made extensive efforts for them to let me play the game on launch day, and the game released at 6 in the morning. I woke up at 5 and waited for an hour, and then I finally got to play the game, and then I played it for 2 hours straight (some people saw me and asked about the game, and one guy thought the game was final fantasy for some reason). Later in the day I found out most of the events were cancelled, so I had most of the rest of the day to play more of the game and by the end of the day I had clocked in 7 incredible hours.
I really like the character models in this game, especially their faces and eyes can be very subtly expressive, you also see alot of that in future redeemed. As for music, weight of the world might be my favourite xenoblade music.
Watching this full on Xenoblade 3 movie while replaying the game really reminded me of all the aspects why I love the game, and also why some moments felt a bit lackluster. You perfectly explained all the goods and the bads about the game, and seeing this in the middle of my replay really does make me think about everything about the series as a whole and how far we have come. While it's hard to say which Xenoblade is my favorite considering each of them has their ups and downs. Xenoblade 3 certainly left the biggest impact on me, and the franchise as a whole will remain my favorite video game series for quite a while. Loved seeing your video, and just seeing all the love you put in to it for a game all of fans love. May Takahashi continue creating peak fiction and show us what will come next for the series.
10 months later, I am still really confident in the fact that xc3 is my fav game of all time, I loved every second playing it and I will probably replay it a few times in my, life such a journey (I even have a mondo tattoo by now, taion best character)
Finally finished it. My goodness loved this and love to have been a part of the Xenoblade community! I don't even know how much work was put into this but you deserve all the praise in the world for such a humongous task covering such a massive game!
A retrospective of Xenoblade 1 made me look back at some Zenoblade 3 stuff. I never played 1 and tried 2 but couldn't get into the combat so I watched videos on the first 2 games. Xenoblade 3 was my absolute favorite game the year it came out and this video is making me think about a replay.
Xenoblade chronicles 2 is still my favorite game of all time, but Xeno 3 is the second one, an absolute masterpiece with some minor flaws that I enjoyed so much as all games on this series
Great video man, this was a thrill to get notified and watching the whole thing I haven't played XCX or 2 but XC3 solidified Xenoblade as one of my favorite franchises since Xenoblade 1 was already one of my favorite games ever I feel like XC3 has the lowest lows but also the highest highs in the series and i personally had a blast with the expansion, Time Attack it's fun and all, but dang, Rougelike Xenoblade will keep me coming back for a long time and Future Redeemed, oh God For me that made a 10/10 game into a 12/10
XC2 definitely have the lowest of lows, to the point that many people stopped playing the game, while XC3 can be boring in last two chapters, they at least didn't make its players to straight up drop the game.
@@user-vw9zw2xq1v a part of me wants to agree. Cause I definitely almost dropped XB2 when I was first playing it. I was 8 hours into it, and wasn't feeling it at all. But after Uraya, the game finally picked up and was consistent the whole way through. I feel like the game lost a lot of potential fans because of the first 10 hours. The only reason I kept playing was because my friend kept pushing me. I personally didn't have much of a problem with the last couple of chapters of XB3 since i filled it with side quests. Really padded out the playtime. Plus the side quests are just as important to the main story to me. They all flesh out the characters, the colonies, and the world more. Better than the first two games did, at least. It makes the decision at the end that much more bittersweet.
Dude I just started getting back into this after falling off at launch. This is by far the best breakdown of how classes in the battle system have worked after watching several videos being confused on this in the past. Much appreciated. So much I forgot, and so much more I just never understood in the first place.

Honestly this is probably the best Xenoblade game as a whole. Definitely felt weak in some aspects, but it did the impossible task of toppling both 1 and 2 by chapter 3. Don't even get me started on the masterpiece that is the music and characters.

wife was out of town when this game launched. I played nearly 24 hours that weekend, and rolled credits in a week. I love this franchise so much and can't wait to see where they go from here.
I would never ever play through a masterpiece in just 3 days time. I even have ample free time, since I own a small business and only work 2 days a week(5days off weekly) Savoring XC3 in 8months time was delightful!🔥
Looking back at xenoblade 3 for me, it’s likely that capticorn peak simply wasn’t fully completed and they had quite the plan with it but simply weren’t able to finish it up because they swapped release schedules with splatoon 3. In my view this incompleteness can be seen in the great sword after a certain story event, where the huge crater area had both a high level snowy area with a very aurora like boss in it that would have been perfect for a snow area, however it feels like this area was originally gonna be a part of capticorn peak and add a lot more to the area if given more time, however it’s likely because of time constraints they weren’t able to fully flesh it out like they were able too in future redeemed.
I'm still pissed I didn't get the special Edition, it didn't Release for months here in europe and I checked every day only for it to come out and be completely sold out in 3 days I didn't check for once!

Spoilers below 17:40 When I first discovered "Place of heroes past" and fought a monster I had Nia in the party so "kaleidoscopic core" started playing. Either I had nevre been in battle with Nia before or I just didn't notice, but as someone who played xenoblade 2 first, this was REALLY special (especially after the ending cutscene with *that* photo
So the reason that XC2 seemingly had more content post launch was because the initial release of XC2 had a severe lack of QoL features and a good majority of the "free content" was adding things in after the fact that we're intended to be in the initial release. The same cannot be said for XC3, which was a much more complete package on release, when compare to XC2
You can make that argument for New Game Plus, but the rest of XC2's Expansion Pass was filled to the brim with content. The only major QoL feature XC2 got was the ability to skip Blade Awakenings, whereas XC3 got one via Loadout Saving and no other requested features like disabling Chain Attack Music, skipping animations, etc. Putting XC2's Free Content aside, you simply got more out of 2's Expansion Pass than 3's due to how much content was given at the same price. While 3's Expansion Pass is worth the money now due to Future Redeemed, I couldn't say that before FR's launch. XC2 was pretty much a complete game at launch with its post launch content expanding upon it even more. XC3 is also a complete game despite its story feeling incomplete prior to FR's release. I dont think it was an argument of which one is a more complete package, it's just that you got a lot more value out of 2's Expansion Pass
Having played all three Xenoblade games (I'll get to X one day), I have to say that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is my favorite. Especially if you add in Future Redeemed. The emotions I felt while playing can't be matched. The plot twists, the characterization, the story, and the symbolism, all worked together to create a great experience at least for me. While there were some things that kept it from being the best story-wise (the villains), I still think that overall experience does put it up there close to the top. The music, oh man, is the best in the series. Even though, objectively XC2 may have a better OST overall, I think how the music often carries the narrative is what pushes it over for me. The music doesn't just complement the story but tells the story, too. Not to mention that music is GORGEOUS. Like seriously, if you listen to the area themes in full with headphones on, you really feel immersed. Maybe not as bombastic as previous games, but good nonetheless. Overall I still think XC1 has the best story. XC2 has the best area designs and the most post-game content and replayability, which is important to the overall longevity of the game. XC3 though, man even with some of the issues it did have, has the highest highs in the franchise. Its message is something I think we all can learn from. Future Redeemed granted us the grand finale that we all really wanted, and it put in perspective just how much was riding on the main cast and their actions. Amazing.
Does Xenoblade 3's story have a fair deal of unexplained plot beats? Yep. But at the end of the day, I think Aionios is my favorite world the series has to offer because I was so fascinated by its worldbuilding and am still thinking about it after finishing it. I can completely understand feeling confused by where the story is going, but I do overall find XC3's plot to be wonderful in concluding the Klaus trilogy. Where 1 focuses on the future and 2 focuses on the past, 3 focuses a ton on the present and its themes on the present resonate with me the most. I'm somewhat still sitting on Xenoblade 3 to determine if it's outclassed Xenoblade 1 for me, recency bias is a thing I'm aware, but man it definitely is the best the series has to offer by far.
Xenoblade 3's positives does outweighs its negatives as its far better than Xenoblade 1 in my eyes but not as good as 2 but still an amazing experience

definitely my favourite story if the three. I love a good romance, and the emotions in this game do it justice. The tragedy really hurts though. I was hoping we’d get a happy ending like in past games
I played them all twice including X. 3 is my favorite. It fixed all the issues I had with 1 and 2. I really want to replay it but I am hoping it gets a Switch 2 port with 60fps is available. or until emulation gets really good.
I actually have to admit.. i never finished the game. I had fun while playing it, but at some point... it just lost me. It's a shame. I don't see myself returning to it anytime soon with Zelda on my plate at the moment. Now that i think about it, i never finished XC2 either... maybe XC just isn't my franchise. I finished XC:DE though
@@ShiftedPyro Yeah, i hear only good things about XC2 for example. To be honest, i don't even know, what the problem is. I like the characters, the atmosphere in XC2 was to my liking aswell, the gameplay was fun too. It is a complete mystery to me, how i started the game two times and somehow lost interest way before the 20 hour mark both times. Now with XC3 i'd say i have finished most of the game, i stopped some time after meeting Nia. Did a couple sidequests after that, but never went further in the main story. I just... lost interest and i don't know why. Maybe there were some things that bothered me subconsciously, but i can't say for sure
In the frensh 2nd trailer commentary section I said I was hype and I hoped Xenoblade 3 would become my favorit. In the end I really enjoyed Xenoblade 3 but 2 was still my number 1. More I think about it more Xenoblade 3 get close to Xenoblade 2 level. I won't playing Xenoblade games as much as I want this summer but maybe Xenoblade 3 will cross the line. In the end it doesn't matter Xenoblade x is the only one I tried and manedge to 100% rip my wii u And don't worry I like 1 as well
I haven't tried the first 3 waves of DLC yet. I bought it a few hours before Future Redeemed released. That's my kinda DLC. More Fallout, where you get basically mini-new games, and less Trails of Cold Steel where it's mostly7 cosmetic crap.
It also has some of my favourite elements of the series, such as… - customisation/player freedom in battle - the best romance. Noah and Mio are INCREDIBLE. - The best side content - the best opening (imo)

Xenoblade 3 is a great game but easily my least favorite in the trilogy, didn't care much for the story, villains, world and especially the music, the last 2 are really a shame because xenoblade 2 nailed those aspects for me. Future Redeemed is the xenoblade 3 i wished we got instead of the main game simply because the dlc went by way too fast and the pacing felt off
Weakest Xenoblade for me and no matter how many cracks FR fills in (while creating gigantic questions of its own), it doesn’t absolve XC3 of its sins. A great game in its own right but a disappointing sequel.

coming off of 2 which is one of favorite games of all time and is a game that all my issues with where fixed with dlc/update content so one of the few games i consider flawless (outside the golden country which sucked) i was utterly disappointed with 3 in more ways than one my two biggest gripes being how utterly worthless and waste of money the expansion pass was (future redeemed being just as bad as TGC) and that goddamn piece of crap ending it was a good game but probably my least favorite xenoblade game its just worse than X and 2 in every way it wouldve went over X in the story department of it wasnt for that ending.... really the ending of 3 really ruined it for me and left a huge sour taste in my mouth
Honestly, something I will never really like lorewise is how Xenoblade 2 and now 3(I didn't play 3 or X yet for reference, but I'm not particularly spoiler-avoidant, that's why I watch these videos to begin with) mold Xenoblade 1 for their own purposes instead of either working with whatever already existed or simply not trying to be connected in certain ways. That is actually kinda what I appreciate about X in retrospect because it is rather hands off and standalone outside of some eastereggs, it does not pull an "Alvis was just an unrealiable narrator"-bandaid out of thin air to justify being connected despite the lore either being awkward or not lining up. Sure, a Telethia does show up as a superboss, but it is not like the game makes a big deal out of it, it could be seen as just another easteregg until Xenoblade 1 itself decided to come up with an explanation in Future Connected(Which is that random Telethia just sorta dive into interdimensional rifts which we can assume catapulted them into a parallel world, lol). Of course, all of it is just sorta half of the whole thing. I still appreciate and enjoy Xenoblade 2 as its own thing and even tho it kinda annoys me a lot more in 3 because the connections are a lot more central and heavyhanded(And that Future Redeemed is kinda fanfiction-city premise-wise), I'm still more than ready to give it its individual shot when I eventually play it, instead of being mad that I think they botched a narrative. Tbh, the gameplay of 7 people running around with an "ultimate battlesystem" and doing giant &Knuckles-style combos during chain attacks looks incredibly dope already. On a sidenote, I also wish I had confidence in finding an entrypoint into the pre-Xenoblade games. I heared a decent amount of times that the Xenosaga 1+2 retelling on DS would do just that because the other games are less casual-friendly(Which I assume means to push them back until I am already into it), but the issue is that the release is exclusively in Japanese. Well, almost exclusively in japanese, the community at least gave it a menu-fantranslation, even tho that is still very unhelpful for a storyheavy RPG series like Xeno.
Interesting take, but I do disagree with Xenoblade 2 & 3 molded Xenoblade 1 for its own purposes. Xenoblade 2 used The Experiment Scene in its own way while also adding to Xenoblade 1. Alvis being an unreliable narrator was the best route they could've taken without huge retcons and doesn't destroy the scene. I've always saw it as two sides of the same coin. Xenoblade 3 and more future redeemed uses the remaining lore from Xenoblade 1 and wraps that up (while also opening up more questions) I think sequels adding onto each other is fine.
Ah yes the weakest of the trilogy gets its turn. This one is without a doubt the weakest of them all. The other two games had a few similarities to Marvel already (at least they were very subtle and you had to really know Marvel to pick up on them) but this one is so blatant it is unreal. The story is quite literally a trio of fear based entities are controlling the world (much like Nightmare and the other Fear Lords of Marvel have done for short periods of time), they have super strong minions to act as generals, and they have themselves clone armies that must feed on the life force of others to survive (just like Galactus must feed on the life energy of planets to survive). Then it turns out there are people who aren't clones that are trying to stop the fighting and they convince two groups of clones that they are working for the bad guys and they must stand together. Talk about a weak ass story with too much inspired by Marvel.
All this game is is cutscenes. They are honestly kind of ruining the game for me. Walk two steps and then 20 more minutes of boring af cutscenes. I have never seen anything like it in my life. Just let me play the game please!
Xeno 3 is worst game I've played in a long time in terms of story and villains. It's like an emo-teenager wrote it after breaking up with their girlfriend after maybe one week. The villains were so unrelateable and messed up i couldnt stop sighing and wishing i was playing literally anything else. What a joke of a game.
I looked back at it when its DLC came out, it's still the worst out of the trilogy with none-relatable bland cast, huge empty locations and an outright bad final villain. The only good thing going for it is the battle system. It's by far the most disappointing game of 2022 and doesn't hold a candle to the previous two installments.

Xenoblade chronicles 2 is still my favorite game of all time, but Xeno 3 is the second one, an absolute masterpiece with some minor flaws that I enjoyed so much as all games on this series

I haven't played XCX or 2 but XC3 solidified Xenoblade as one of my favorite franchises since Xenoblade 1 was already one of my favorite games ever
I feel like XC3 has the lowest lows but also the highest highs in the series and i personally had a blast with the expansion, Time Attack it's fun and all, but dang, Rougelike Xenoblade will keep me coming back for a long time and Future Redeemed, oh God

XC2 definitely have the lowest of lows, to the point that many people stopped playing the game, while XC3 can be boring in last two chapters, they at least didn't make its players to straight up drop the game.
@@user-vw9zw2xq1v a part of me wants to agree. Cause I definitely almost dropped XB2 when I was first playing it. I was 8 hours into it, and wasn't feeling it at all. But after Uraya, the game finally picked up and was consistent the whole way through. I feel like the game lost a lot of potential fans because of the first 10 hours. The only reason I kept playing was because my friend kept pushing me.
I personally didn't have much of a problem with the last couple of chapters of XB3 since i filled it with side quests. Really padded out the playtime. Plus the side quests are just as important to the main story to me. They all flesh out the characters, the colonies, and the world more. Better than the first two games did, at least. It makes the decision at the end that much more bittersweet.

Dude I just started getting back into this after falling off at launch. This is by far the best breakdown of how classes in the battle system have worked after watching several videos being confused on this in the past. Much appreciated. Honestly this is probably the best Xenoblade game as a whole. Definitely felt weak in some aspects, but it did the impossible task of toppling both 1 and 2 by chapter 3.
Don't even get me started on the masterpiece that is the music and characters.

Overall I think xc3 is my favorite but xc1 is the best in terms of story, and (imo) music and areas

Looking back at xenoblade 3 for me, it’s likely that capticorn peak simply wasn’t fully completed and they had quite the plan with it but simply weren’t able to finish it up because they swapped release schedules with splatoon 3. In my view this incompleteness can be seen in the great sword after a certain story event, where the huge crater area had both a high level snowy area with a very aurora like boss in it that would have been perfect for a snow area, however it feels like this area was originally gonna be a part of capticorn peak and add a lot more to the area if given more time, however it’s likely because of time constraints they weren’t able to fully flesh it out like they were able too in future redeemed.
I'm still pissed I didn't get the special Edition, it didn't Release for months here in europe and I checked every day only for it to come out and be completely sold out in 3 days I didn't check for once!

17:40 When I first discovered "Place of heroes past" and fought a monster I had Nia in the party so "kaleidoscopic core" started playing. Either I had nevre been in battle with Nia before or I just didn't notice, but as someone who played xenoblade 2 first, this was REALLY special (especially after the ending cutscene with *that* photo
So the reason that XC2 seemingly had more content post launch was because the initial release of XC2 had a severe lack of QoL features and a good majority of the "free content" was adding things in after the fact that we're intended to be in the initial release. The same cannot be said for XC3, which was a much more complete package on release, when compare to XC2
You can make that argument for New Game Plus, but the rest of XC2's Expansion Pass was filled to the brim with content. The only major QoL feature XC2 got was the ability to skip Blade Awakenings, whereas XC3 got one via Loadout Saving and no other requested features like disabling Chain Attack Music, skipping animations, etc. Putting XC2's Free Content aside, you simply got more out of 2's Expansion Pass than 3's due to how much content was given at the same price. While 3's Expansion Pass is worth the money now due to Future Redeemed, I couldn't say that before FR's launch. XC2 was pretty much a complete game at launch with its post launch content expanding upon it even more. XC3 is also a complete game despite its story feeling incomplete prior to FR's release. I dont think it was an argument of which one is a more complete package, it's just that you got a lot more value out of 2's Expansion Pass
Having played all three Xenoblade games (I'll get to X one day), I have to say that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is my favorite. Especially if you add in Future Redeemed. The emotions I felt while playing can't be matched. The plot twists, the characterization, the story, and the symbolism, all worked together to create a great experience at least for me. While there were some things that kept it from being the best story-wise (the villains), I still think that overall experience does put it up there close to the top. The music, oh man, is the best in the series. Even though, objectively XC2 may have a better OST overall, I think how the music often carries the narrative is what pushes it over for me. The music doesn't just complement the story but tells the story, too. Not to mention that music is GORGEOUS. Like seriously, if you listen to the area themes in full with headphones on, you really feel immersed. Maybe not as bombastic as previous games, but good nonetheless.
Overall I still think XC1 has the best story. XC2 has the best area designs and the most post-game content and replayability, which is important to the overall longevity of the game. XC3 though, man even with some of the issues it did have, has the highest highs in the franchise. Its message is something I think we all can learn from. Future Redeemed granted us the grand finale that we all really wanted, and it put in perspective just how much was riding on the main cast and their actions. Amazing.

Does Xenoblade 3's story have a fair deal of unexplained plot beats? Yep.
But at the end of the day, I think Aionios is my favorite world the series has to offer because I was so fascinated by its worldbuilding and am still thinking about it after finishing it. I can completely understand feeling confused by where the story is going, but I do overall find XC3's plot to be wonderful in concluding the Klaus trilogy. Where 1 focuses on the future and 2 focuses on the past, 3 focuses a ton on the present and its themes on the present resonate with me the most.
I'm somewhat still sitting on Xenoblade 3 to determine if it's outclassed Xenoblade 1 for me, recency bias is a thing I'm aware, but man it definitely is the best the series has to offer by far.
Xenoblade 3's positives does outweighs its negatives as its far better than Xenoblade 1 in my eyes but not as good as 2 but still an amazing experience

I played them all twice including X. 3 is my favorite. It fixed all the issues I had with 1 and 2. I really want to replay it but I am hoping it gets a Switch 2 port with 60fps is available. or until emulation gets really good.

I actually have to admit.. i never finished the game. I had fun while playing it, but at some point... it just lost me. It's a shame. I don't see myself returning to it anytime soon with Zelda on my plate at the moment. Now that i think about it, i never finished XC2 either... maybe XC just isn't my franchise.

@@ShiftedPyro Yeah, i hear only good things about XC2 for example. To be honest, i don't even know, what the problem is. I like the characters, the atmosphere in XC2 was to my liking aswell, the gameplay was fun too. It is a complete mystery to me, how i started the game two times and somehow lost interest way before the 20 hour mark both times.
Now with XC3 i'd say i have finished most of the game, i stopped some time after meeting Nia. Did a couple sidequests after that, but never went further in the main story. I just... lost interest and i don't know why. Maybe there were some things that bothered me subconsciously, but i can't say for sure
In the frensh 2nd trailer commentary section I said I was hype and I hoped Xenoblade 3 would become my favorit. In the end I really enjoyed Xenoblade 3 but 2 was still my number 1. More I think about it more Xenoblade 3 get close to Xenoblade 2 level. I won't playing Xenoblade games as much as I want this summer but maybe Xenoblade 3 will cross the line.
In the end it doesn't matter Xenoblade x is the only one I tried and manedge to 100%

I haven't tried the first 3 waves of DLC yet. I bought it a few hours before Future Redeemed released. That's my kinda DLC. More Fallout, where you get basically mini-new games, and less Trails of Cold Steel where it's mostly7 cosmetic crap.
Easily my least favourite game in the series but I still love it and it’s a fantastic closure to the series, especially with future redeemed as well.
It also has some of my favourite elements of the series, such as…
- customisation/player freedom in battle
- the best romance. Noah and Mio are INCREDIBLE.
- The best side content
- the best opening (imo)

Xenoblade 3 is a great game but easily my least favorite in the trilogy, didn't care much for the story, villains, world and especially the music, the last 2 are really a shame because xenoblade 2 nailed those aspects for me. Future Redeemed is the xenoblade 3 i wished we got instead of the main game simply because the dlc went by way too fast and the pacing felt off
Weakest Xenoblade for me and no matter how many cracks FR fills in (while creating gigantic questions of its own), it doesn’t absolve XC3 of its sins. A great game in its own right but a disappointing sequel.

coming off of 2 which is one of favorite games of all time and is a game that all my issues with where fixed with dlc/update content so one of the few games i consider flawless (outside the golden country which sucked) i was utterly disappointed with 3 in more ways than one my two biggest gripes being how utterly worthless and waste of money the expansion pass was (future redeemed being just as bad as TGC) and that goddamn piece of crap ending it was a good game but probably my least favorite xenoblade game its just worse than X and 2 in every way it wouldve went over X in the story department of it wasnt for that ending.... really the ending of 3 really ruined it for me and left a huge sour taste in my mouth
Honestly, something I will never really like lorewise is how Xenoblade 2 and now 3(I didn't play 3 or X yet for reference, but I'm not particularly spoiler-avoidant, that's why I watch these videos to begin with) mold Xenoblade 1 for their own purposes instead of either working with whatever already existed or simply not trying to be connected in certain ways. That is actually kinda what I appreciate about X in retrospect because it is rather hands off and standalone outside of some eastereggs, it does not pull an "Alvis was just an unrealiable narrator"-bandaid out of thin air to justify being connected despite the lore either being awkward or not lining up. Sure, a Telethia does show up as a superboss, but it is not like the game makes a big deal out of it, it could be seen as just another easteregg until Xenoblade 1 itself decided to come up with an explanation in Future Connected(Which is that random Telethia just sorta dive into interdimensional rifts which we can assume catapulted them into a parallel world, lol).
Of course, all of it is just sorta half of the whole thing. I still appreciate and enjoy Xenoblade 2 as its own thing and even tho it kinda annoys me a lot more in 3 because the connections are a lot more central and heavyhanded(And that Future Redeemed is kinda fanfiction-city premise-wise), I'm still more than ready to give it its individual shot when I eventually play it, instead of being mad that I think they botched a narrative. Tbh, the gameplay of 7 people running around with an "ultimate battlesystem" and doing giant &Knuckles-style combos during chain attacks looks incredibly dope already.
On a sidenote, I also wish I had confidence in finding an entrypoint into the pre-Xenoblade games. I heared a decent amount of times that the Xenosaga 1+2 retelling on DS would do just that because the other games are less casual-friendly(Which I assume means to push them back until I am already into it), but the issue is that the release is exclusively in Japanese. Well, almost exclusively in japanese, the community at least gave it a menu-fantranslation, even tho that is still very unhelpful for a storyheavy RPG series like Xeno.
Interesting take, but I do disagree with Xenoblade 2 & 3 molded Xenoblade 1 for its own purposes. Xenoblade 2 used The Experiment Scene in its own way while also adding to Xenoblade 1. Alvis being an unreliable narrator was the best route they could've taken without huge retcons and doesn't destroy the scene. I've always saw it as two sides of the same coin. Xenoblade 3 and more future redeemed uses the remaining lore from Xenoblade 1 and wraps that up (while also opening up more questions) I think sequels adding onto each other is fine.
Ah yes the weakest of the trilogy gets its turn. This one is without a doubt the weakest of them all. The other two games had a few similarities to Marvel already (at least they were very subtle and you had to really know Marvel to pick up on them) but this one is so blatant it is unreal. The story is quite literally a trio of fear based entities are controlling the world (much like Nightmare and the other Fear Lords of Marvel have done for short periods of time), they have super strong minions to act as generals, and they have themselves clone armies that must feed on the life force of others to survive (just like Galactus must feed on the life energy of planets to survive). Then it turns out there are people who aren't clones that are trying to stop the fighting and they convince two groups of clones that they are working for the bad guys and they must stand together. Talk about a weak ass story with too much inspired by Marvel.

Xeno 3 is worst game I've played in a long time in terms of story and villains. It's like an emo-teenager wrote it after breaking up with their girlfriend after maybe one week. The villains were so unrelateable and messed up i couldnt stop sighing and wishing i was playing literally anything else.
