I'm exactly the same way as Peter. Like, I understand that they have problems and it is truly unfortunate. But I just get uncomfortable around them. Oh well
Not only am I autistic, but I’ve worked with kids in the past who are like this. She’s just nonverbal, no big deal. I’m still pretty new to the job but the thought used to cross my mind a lot when I worked with especially young nonverbal kids. It can be frustrating at times, I’ll admit.
@ Some people just can’t handle it and that’s ok. Personally I don’t think they’ll ever find a way to identify it in the womb, we only have very sparse leads on what causes it in the first place.
I work with adults with severe autism who are nonverbal. One is just like this and they both rock a lot. This was super offensive, but I almost died from laughter lol. For all those that talk down upon this type of humor, either learn to laugh at everything including yourself or dont watch the damn show.
I'm spectrum and in a WC and I feel similar. Way offensive but the only thing to do is laugh. Otherwise it's actually really depressing. And I'm low-support needs and in a WC for a different reason (and it's temporary, lucked out).
If you go to the Library chances are someone like that will bug you. I was sitting by a Black Woman in the Library and a Autistic guy went up to us and I was worried the Black Woman was going to hurt him she was so mad at him.
I had that experience 2 years ago, in the middle of an anime showing at a library, I heard something that wasn't in the audio, in fact, I think the sound was an autistic guy slapping his friend for attention. I started to have a PTSD flashback to something similar when I was in boarding school a bit because the slapping reminded me of that memory
I'm on the spectrum and relate to Peter too. It's that whole myth about how autistic people lack empathy. We're like sponges to other peoples' feelings and it can be super distressful. Which is sooo sad because we are kindred spirits 😢
I see this kind of stuff at work all the time. It's actually very hard to watch. You can't help but feel bad for people with uncontrollable afflictions.
Everyone else is saying it but I am indeed autistic and Peter’s “I don’t know how to help!” Gets me every time, like he wants to but he’s too scared to
@@Kadin73 Well, I'm on the spectrum even though my IQ is in the mid 110s. Bad thing is, even if your IQ is higher and you're on the spectrum, people still think you're a savage beast instead of someone having an LD
This video actually makes me kind of sad. My best friend and I both have autism, but we're higher functioning. That means we don't have it as bad as most people diagnosed with it and can lead somewhat normal lives. Honestly, if you met us, you wouldn't know we have it unless we told you. But his brother not only has one of the worst cases of autism I've ever seen (he can barely string two words together), but he also has hypoglycemia. That's kind of the opposite of diabetes, where instead of your blood sugar being too high, it's not high enough. So his brother has to eat something every few hours and needs constant supervision, otherwise he has these meltdowns and might try to hurt himself because of his blood sugar level and how much trouble he has communicating. So he'll never be able to function in the outside world.
You have a higher function. Autism is different for those who have it they can either be like any other normal person, have very noticeable traits, or be severely bad to the point where they can’t control themselves. I have Asperger’s which is the opposite of autismbut I’m not entirely sure if the same scenario applies.
I have autism to and it makes me not feel good inside I like I show but I don't like when Seth McFarland make fun of people who are different then he is the Seth needs to know that some things can hurt people's feelings
Rene Lacomb The comedy comes from that being how little children react. It was making fun of people who are scared of people with autism, not people who have autism.
I've literally lost count of how many times i been in this exact situation while riding the train or bus
I’m in this exact situation now so I searched this up for comfort

I hope they find a way to identify it in the womb - I'd have to terminate or opt for adoption for my own health tbh.
