how do u remove pulp bucket easily? it get stuck there due to side sticks sometime

The one design flaw I can see right away is the pulp catcher is inside the juicer instead of a shoot in the back that empties into a container,which would be far easier to deal with.This is not great for people who juice all day long because you have to continuously
open it up and remove all parts to empty the pulp.

Bought mine today but not for any diet or detox reason just wanted one to make smoothies but I was disappointed there were no recipes or instructions included on how to use it so thanks for the tips in this video.
You don't make smoothies with a juicer, you use a blender.

Wady:

You didn't show how much pulp there actually is and how difficult to it is to clean. A whole bag of carrots got me under 200ml of juice! Considering how much of the veg is wasted its not exactly a the most nutritional juicer out there. Getting the pulp out of the container is also tricky as its quite small and this does not take 1 minute to clean as advertised.

Although it juices fantastic but the hinges will break easily took it to the dealer and they told me phillips warranty covers only the motor

My HR1863/01 started smoking this morning and the bottom of the plastic feeding tube has now melted. Thrown box away so i doubt Amazon will help me.
***** No idea. Was just juicing carrots and apples and smelt burning. Smoke started appearing. I straight away turned it off and emptied the pulp into the bin. Turned machine on and it was fine apart from melted plastic. Will call Amazon later.
***** But regardless of this the juicer is fantastic and an absolute joy. I have a few stone to lose and today is the first day of my 30 day juice diet. I cannot exercise as i have just had back surgery.
So Amazon came to collect the juicer this morning. They have also taken this specific juicer off the sight as many other people have reported the fault. Now i am without a juicer which is quite annoying. Any idea what other philips juicer i should get?

Banana is not good because it's too dry and will end up 90% wasted.
Michael Tsang Do the juice in the juicer, and use a blender and mix the juice you make with the banana in the blender. So the banana is a blender thing.
+Nomzi Ali you don't any juice from a banana... banana fruit juice? no. Smoothies yes, but this isnt a smoothie machine

The motor burnt out on mine after a few months. I've since looked at reviews and it seems to be a common fault on this model.

@@markjdraper this does not help, as the bottom section for me is totally stuck on. it will not lift off, no matter how hard i try, very frustrating as i dont have the receipt anymore
Lot of nutrients in pulp is wasted i guess, I would have to again squeeze the pulp in a cloth to take more juice out.
Taher Penwala check out slow juicer , they are bit costly but it will never waste nutrients , and more juice will be extracted without loss of enzymes , having natural colour
blender vs juicer .....which one is better?

With a blender, you can make a meal replacement shake, smoothie, sauces, marinades. Whereas, with a juicer you'll only be making a juice supplement out of fruits and veg, as the fibers and other nutrients are discarded, during the process. You shouldn't just juice, you need solid food along with it, also, some juicers won't allow fruits that are too soft like bananas. It is good to have both a blender and a juicer for the different requirements.
If you can't (or don't want to), initially, buy both, I'd suggest getting the blender first.
Its not juice feasting can be done it well heathy.

not true that a smoothie machine is not easy to clean, I have the nutri ninja and is better than this, does not produce waste and does not drip. if you take the pulp out you will find that it contains juice that was not fully extracted. Good try.

too much waste the nutriblast is far superior there is no pulp, the blade wares very quicley and you get more and more pulp,that is where the goodness is,so its not the best. i don't trust which magazine either.

Jonatan Carmi I'm just familier with the HR1871/70. Just the orange. You don't want to eat the peel of an orange, because it's very bitter, and don't taste any good, and your stomach would hate it.
