I'm 7 months pregnant and been suffering with SPD for a whole month! I seen my dr for my appointment told him about the pain he suggested to just get a pregnancy belt, tylonel, heating pads to deal with my pain. I seen this video two days ago and finally my mans home from work so we can try it. I've had a hard time walking getting up everything. we tried it just now and we heard the pop twice, instantly I felt better!! I got off the floor and started picking my legs up where as before I would almost cry to put my jeans on! thanks for the video I was so excited I had to write this review right after we tried it!
Your a God send! Im a fellow chiropractor and this isn't a technique I was taught in school but my wife was suffering and this technique helped relieved her pain. She had grade 3 muscle strength in adduction and after the 3 audibles due to this technique she was back at full strength. Thanks again! Can't say it enough.
😭 thank you so much for posting. Every time I've moved my legs for the past 8 days, it's felt like lightning. We tried both methods and decided to try the first one more time and my hip clicked right in place. Seriously just made my day!
We tried this before I delivered the baby and I couldn’t stay on my back long enough to make it work for me. I was in pain for 2 weeks before the baby came and in tears I hurt so bad. After baby came it was still very painful. My daughter is 2 days old and I just did this again for the first time postpartum. My husband did it on me and got my pelvis to pop pretty quickly. I immediately felt better and could walk up stairs like normal! Thank you so much for posting this video!!
Hi John, thank you for this video. I had a baby of 8months and facing deep pain of PSD. Also led to loss of sensation and ability to move on both legs. Lived with the pains as the hospital only stimulate and ask me to ride bicycle, but recently changed my hospital to another. I am on short wave heat transfer to reduce pain and stabilization exercise. I will try out your exercise. I will be glad it helps.
I'm sure I have this . I do a lot of strenuous exercising and weight lifting. I went to the doctor and they said that maybe I have kidney stones but after doing tons of research on my own I am sure this is what I have!
Should the patient be adjusting for pelvic tilt or just be completely relaxed? For example I can tense the muscles on one side to make my hips more aligned (which relieves pain) but obviously I wouldn’t be as relaxed for the adjustment
I'm male and the 2nd adjustment is the only one that works for me. Is there any way to self adjust using this technique, without the help of another person? Again, I'm referring to the 2nd adjustment at 1:53.
Some people do this a few times a week and you can do it yourself - basically adopt the position like the patient in the video - place hands on outside of legs and resist the outwards movement of the legs (like video) for 10 seconds 2/3 x and then place a fist between your knees and squeeze tightly - this normally works, regards JG
I tried both techniques i didnt hear any crack but i still felt about 75 percent relief from the pain. Is it possible that it can work without any audible adjustment
Hi, I am experiencing sever pain in frontal bones of Pubic area, end of tail bone, around innner thights around joints. Mostly observed when rolling over, climbing up, walking, lifting leg. This was observed in 9th month of pregnancy but did not know what it is and thought it’s due to increase in belly weight and now experiencing it severe after a year. Is it the same? Can it be healed permanently?I am worried as I have difficulty in walking normally. Pain is observed from last 3-4 days. I have constant sitting and sleeping on one side due to feeding baby.
I feel it in both sides and I can now adjust it just by pushing my knees together, but it doesnt feel in the middle. I am assuming that I should feel a single crack on the middle but I feel one on each side
@@JohnGibbons What I meant is that I never felt it in the center. I always feel 2 releases, one on each side, even when done by my physiotherapist who, since it happens by itself now, stopped doing it to me. It seems she doesnt need to.
I am the same, I have to have two clicks when I go from sitting to standing. If both sides don’t click, I can’t stand up straight or put my weight through my legs.
So you apply resistance on both abductors to correct the left superior pubis symphsis... vs just resistance on one leg? And would you do the same thing if the right spubic symphsis was superior?
I m suffering from pubic diastasis at the time of delivery my pubic bon seaprated I can't do any thing I regularly visiting orthopedic surgeon. He suggest me pelvic exercise
Yes I'd like your rendition of the manual release of the pubic synthesis or the pubic dysfunction method. Yes I'd like your rendition of the manual release of the pubic synthesis or the pubic dysfunction method. I like your preparation with muscle energies to relax the Adductors. I also caught you utter that the displacement could be superior. Yet you show not the corrective methods and thrusts for that lesion. Although I must say I'm impressed because as a retired chiropractor and former massage therapist we were taught in the diversified school of manipulation that there's only one thrust needed to release the pubic synthesis for the pubic bone subluxation/dysfunction which was only restricted patient adduction thrust. As we know that's a very sensitive area in a number of ways. Perhaps you'd like to show the superior move and perhaps you made another video but I haven't found it yet. Truthfully I don't believe in using any manual methods if I were still practicing Chiropractic to do that. But I found that the Activator Chirooractic Technique Method is a lot more gentle specific and effective. But I would have reservations of using it nowadays also on females if I was a male c hiropractic in practice today because of all the hoopla and accusations via Me2 scenarios. 😆 Let a female doctor do so to a female patient. But that is not even a guarantee these days because of LGBTQ movement. There is the possibility of offense with any gender preference group in reality. Definitely one area of equality in this fallen world.😆
Hi John, I am not sure if I too have this kind of pain. I had a baby 8 months ago and I'm in pain around my pubic area. Mostly when I lay down and try to move it hurts. I've made an appointment on Monday to be seen. Just scared what they might say. This pain is excruciating and it definitely hurts when I'm sitting down or laying down. It is around my pubic area almost to inside if my thighs. Do you know if it might related to pubic symphisis?
Years ago, whilst having my first child, I had this problem. Although not finding out it's actual name until 2007. Because the doctor didn't bother to indicate what it was or that it could become worse, I now have the rare severe form on this painful illness. The specialist said he only knew of one doctor ( in a different country) that would operate on a severe case. But since I also have to much aerhritis in that whole are of back and what not, they told me it was inoperable. May I ask your opinion? Do you think I can be helped by this shot gun technique? Although it would cause me extreme pain I am more than willing to try it if you feel I would have a chance on making my situation better. Please reply. I am desperate to get back to living a more normal life. Thank you
The technique should only cause mild discomfort so be careful if going to try, if it is painful then i wouldn't do this and seek further help from someone, regards JG
Thank you for your reply. I am guessing this technique won't work if the condition has become severe? Arthritis is also a factor. This is why they say it is a rare form and inoperable. I might be grabbing at straws but I can't turn to surgeons so I thought I would try an alternative if there was one.
Thank you for this Video. When i push(move it fast in and outside at full stride) my legs to the outside, i feel kind a like a stitch between my legs. What could be the problem? I get the noise when i push my legs together though. Thank you for you help🙏
