Girl so you telling me that after the gastric bypass we can eat like we supposed to been eating before LOL I love it I love the fact that you still are able to eat very delicious things it's just in a proper portions
I'm SOOOOOOOO proud of chica XOXO
Hiiii friend yes girl it's all about tracking the carbs & protein intake even for tortillas I can use low carb tortillas & for pasta rice & bread it has to be whole wheat so ill still be eating deliciously lol thanx for watching friend ❤️
Idk where your from but in Brisbane Australia. Week 1&2 Liquids/ protein powder and vitamins. Week 2&3 protein yoghurt & liquids & mushy foods. I'm now short of 3 months post op and can eat that kinda food
@ALLTHEYEVANEEDx4 so you broke the rules and put yourself in unnecessary danger. There is no way any doctor is allowing you to eat anything other than liquids 2 weeks post-op. That shit can rip your stomach open or even cause digestive blockage which has led people to death. Do not encourage dangerous shit like this just because you happened to get lucky... and that's if you're even saying the truth. For all anyone knows you could be talking straight out of your ass.
That’s a lot of food geesh
@@thestoneyloveshow7270how is that a lot of food it’s one wrap and some chips.
I'm in hospital at the moment 3 years after surgery with complications (adhesions). My surgeon said to me, I have stretched the stomach to about 80-100mls (80-100mg) and I should only be eating 30-40 mls per meal and the rest should be made up with protein drinks. 40mls is the size of 1 boiled egg.
Oh no! I hope you’re ok. Was the 80-100ml stretching over the 3 year period? Were you meant to maintain the 40ml capacity for life? Sending love and good wishes x
Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that friend 😢 yeah I can only eat a little im at 6 months post-op & I can only eat about 4oz to 6oz depending on what I'm eating, I hope you feel better & hoping for a fast recovery for you ❤ keep me updated friend ❤️ thanx for watching ❤️
@@waniokoye1295 thank you. Yes, my surgeon said I needed to maintain at 30-40mg in order to not stretch the pouch. 30-40 mg/ML is the size of 1 small boiled egg. I was mortified.
This made me not want to get the surgery... Like 3 years later and you're supposed to be eating 40ml of food? That is insane.
Yummmm! Great video! 6 years post op here And I'm so glad I documented my journey on my channel! You just got a new subscriber 🧜♀️
You clearly see her incorporating whole carbs (from the avocado, tomato, lettuce, her salad), healthy fats (from milk, avocado, cheese), and protein (chicken, milk). Stop demonizing the "processed" ingredients that introduce enjoyment, and that ultimately make her meal successful. It will always be about what you can ADD to your food, not subtract, and what she is adding does not significantly alter the macros. This is a universal fact regardless of whether an individual has undergone bariatric surgery.
I think this is a great video. It portrays a foundational diet that ensures long-term success, and I am gleeful that she is making content like this and setting an example. Restricting ANY macro is a recipe for deficiencies and complications with restrictive (sleeve), and ESPECIALLY malabsorptive procedures (bypass & duodenal switch). A substantial chunk of the macros, especially fat (most calorically dense), are not being fully absorbed to begin with due to the roux limb and lack of bile. Roux-en-y completely and permanently alters the anatomy: the rules you followed pre-op will not be relevant post-op. Feel free to fast track your way to an early grave by restricting macros after surgery, but refrain from sharing your ignorance with others.
Additionally, comments that look down on content like this, showing an accurate, creative, and RECOMMENDED portrayal of the components in a post-op meal for the day are entirely frustrating. None of our dietary needs after surgery will ever be identical, and comments that draw comparisons are ridiculous regardless of whether the intention was to be malicious.
Always follow the recommendations set by your surgeon, and always do your own research. Don't blindly follow the purported doctors in the comment section. You don't need to have a major in medicine to understand the language in the majority of the literature available regarding these bariatric procedures. Write down your questions and have them answered by your surgeon.
To the creator in the video, I wish you the greatest of success with your weight loss journey, and I hope that some of these comments have no bearing or influence on your dietary decisions or content creation.
THANK YOU 🥰❤️🥰
I've literally just come home from having gastric sleeve surgery. And to see what my future could be makes me so hopeful. I'm currently trying to get all my bipolar meds in liquid form down me. An im not ashamed to admit I cried because all that makes me so full. When will I be able to fit the food in?! So thank you. ❤
I am 3 weeks after surgery and i can barely eat 😢
Congrats on your surgery! Yeah I literally just took a bite & I was full lol but be patient it will get better! Thanx for watching ❤️
@GavindokI’m 7 days. Starving and still unable to eat anything. I regret this 😢
3 weeks is still early.. give yourself time :) be patient and follow instructions
@@vfigs_11how are you feeling now? Still regretting?
My gwad BEE… even eating a small thing we still have to eat a smaller portion of the small thing. Awesomeness! Congratulations! ❤
How can you use straws still? I am not allowed due to the air you suck up
Just be cautious and you can. What i mean is when we take a sip with a staw, don’t directly drink it. Rather keep it in your mouth and release the extra air.
Ps. That’s just what i do. I’m no expert though 😅
I used a straw immediately after surgery with no issues...and still use them. It technically has not been proven (go research it) that we actually swallow a lot of air from straws but since that's the rule doctors have been using for many years, everybody latched on to the idea. Look it up...I did.
Look good, I will be glad to get to this point I am one month out from gastric bypass surgery and I’m still on proteins shakes and puréed food and soups that I make. When did you start with solid foods?
This is amazing beautiful! Keep up the great work & keep sharing your progress! It’s inspiring ❤
why not just make smaller portions?
I am 5 days post op and that salad for lunch and those wraps looks so so good!
I thought you cant use straws after surgery
Yeah they did say not to use a straw right after surgery but my Dr also said I was ok to use it if I didn't gulp 😉 maybe ask your Dr if it's ok for you to use it 😉 thanx for watching ❤️
When was food like this tolerable for you?
@@BeeAlvarado please answer the question below
@@sarahdso2009 hi friend it was ok for me to eat this food by my 4th month but it all depends on your stomach my friend started eating this way by the 3rd month 😉 just try little by little 😉 thanx for watching ❤️
@@Tooreal4u299 which one friend? 🤔
I just got my surgery last week and already waiting on the days I get to get whole food again like sushi and stuff. I miss whole food a lot.
Omg congrats friend 💓 oh gosh when I got surgery I had to be on clear liquids for 3 weeks, so after surgery, girl I was starving lol I wanted to eat everything but I couldn't lol so I totally understand you lol but be patience your time will go by fast just don't think about take it one step at a time! Thank you so much for watching ❤️
Tips for someone who is interested in getting either bypass or the sleeve? How did you decide which was best for you? I have been debating for YEARS but terrified of complications. *now that i had a csection ya girl tiene los cajones to do the surgery😅* did they have you do a special diet to prepare?
I have acid reflex and the sleeve is supposed to make it far worse. Gastric bypass is also a cure for acid reflex. Although I initially didn’t want to go all the way. I settled on the bypass. Surgery this Friday!
@next.40 i guess I will have to watch some in dept videos about the two and talk to a doctor... that is very exciting. Good luck on the rest of your journey! 💪🏼✨️
Why don't you just find out your calories and eat in a deficit, then go to the gym? I did 200+ lbs gone without surgery or shots. Honestly this doesn't look like a good life to live? I eat 1800 per day, lift weights over cardio. I can't have a life that surgery will make restrictive.
how it go @@MOORxDOPE
becuase its harder for some ppl @@mistymountainhop1971
I’m 5 days post op and I’ve been on liquids such as broth crystal light and Gatorade zero and protein shakes
I’ve tried the sugar free jell-o, pudding also today tried egg and tuna can’t eat a lot only two fork tips of each it was satisfying I also suffer from gerd so sometimes it’s hard to eat at all but I tried to get the protein in in other ways besides the shakes..
@vinesciagreen185 congratulations friend! Take it slow, don't force your body, honestly when I film this short video I was toooooo hungry lol but I wasn't even able to eat lots, I took 1 bite & that was it lol, but at this stage of my surgery I was mostly drinking my protein, now I can eat about 4 to 6oz of food it always depends on the day, drink lots of electrolytes so you don't get dehydrated specially right now! My best advice friend is to take it slow listen to your body & don't rush the process! DO NOT weight yourself daily & if you stall is ok just go back to basics! Thank you so much for watching friend 💖
I am 7 months out and cannot eat that much food. I be so hungry sometimes until I look at food. SMH...then I don't want anything. Never had a food issue...so it's always been a love/hate relationship with food. My favorite foods are crab legs & lobster but they are too expensive to waste so I haven't had any & I'm afraid I won't like them. I already waste a lot of food.
How long after did u eat this ? I'm one week post op and can't even swallow my own saliva without feeling stuffed redicilously stuffed
please try and refrain from bread i had it 6 weeks after gastric sleeve heck i even had some fried chicken it went down good tasted good etc... except stomach obstructions exist and are somewhat easy to get i might have one
That food looks good !!
Whats your recipe for the chicken wrap? I had my gastric bypass done on March 6th (it's March 10th now) I'm looking into recipes for the future.
How do you feel about? I just had mines on Monday. Very painful 😓. I hate those injections 2x a day
How long has it been since you had surgery ?
It's been 3 months in a half now 😉 thanx for watching ❤️
A month after gastric bypass, I feel like dying
Guuuurl I felted the same but it would get better just take it one day at a time & pay attention to your stomach! Thanx for watching ❤️
Oh no! What’s wrong?
I just had my surgery and came home Thursday and I can only drink about 3ozs of water and then I am full
Omg i felt the same way
How do u end up with leftovers, how do u know when u are full or had enough? U trash the leftovers?
That caulipower is Awesomesauce and that wrap is hot fire that I thought was from taco hell or something lol
Hi ...how long after were you able to drink with a straw?
My doctor said it was fine once you get to solid foods and after you have learned what your "full cues" are. Just take it slow and listen to your body. If something hurts or is uncomfortable don't do it. But definitely check with your doctor.
Hiiii friend 😁 its definitely different for everyone I started with a straw at 2 months I asked my Dr before using the a straw, she was ok with it, but she said to sip slow & not to gulp if you gulp it will definitely hurt trust me lol thanx for watching ❤️
@@erikamatos2893 thank you!
@@BeeAlvarado yeah I'm learning that the hard way. 😭
@@jaclynsumang8158 lol I learned the hard way too lol oooohhhh noooo & when you start eating food make sure to CHEW your food or it will hurt too truuuuuust me lol
How long after surgery did you start this diet ?
After 2 months in a half I tried real food but not everything agreed with my tummy 😉 thanx for watching ❤️
For 6months I are not allowed fiber seeds full fat milks etc etc are u sure u had that surgery or u did gastric balloon?
That’s way to much food after a gastric bypass
Hi friend, yeah I don't eat everything I serve myself I just eat what I can 😉 on the daily basis I eat less than 800 calories a day & I've lost 100lbs 5 months before my year mark 😉 thank you so much for watching ❤️
A family member of mine had the bypass and sometimes it amazes me how much they can eat. idk where they put it... lol
That’s a good amount of food. It doesn’t look like enough protein. I have a couple of friends who’ve had this procedure, and they have to take in a lot more protein than that.
Are those jalapeños chips? P.s im 3 weeks out
How many weeks or months is this after
I’m 6 days having my surgery and I bark can drink water 😢😢
@SXNDXEE1_1 girl I know that feeling! I hope you doing good & hoping for a fast recovery 🥰

This is legit the slim fast diet
Yum yum yum!!!
Alot of carbs!
I heard you can only eat 2 oz of food. Is that not true?
more like 4-5 but it varies per person. Also keep in mind, with time your tummy will settle and adjust and you'll be able to eat more normally just not as much as before obviously.
Straw? I thought that’s a no no🤔🤔
thats a myth. dr. John Pilcher explains and debunks it on youtube
@@jeanedarc
Good to know. Thank you 🙏
It's not a myth. Straws add gas to your stomach. Don't use it.
I know this is going to sound z crazy but I've lost too much weight and just had a stricture dilated and I would love to know if you have some ideas of highest protein ways of ways to get the highest protein in my diet. Know that sounds stupid and yes I know that the protein shakes are great way I've never tried fairlife but I'm going to because of your video but like Ensure makes me so sick.
Also I'm a 45 year old but my eleven-year-old takes over mine and her daddy's Facebook page , so that's why it's her picture on the profile LOL if you were wondering!?😂😂
That looks delicious
Wait right after can't believe that . How far out are you please state these things for viewers
Are u saying u ate this a day after you had surgery or u mean that’s what you can eat in a day now
The latter
No volume.
Your having a ton of processed foods. Eat Whole Foods
Everything we eat is literally processed....😂
@@ErnaroxNo, all the unhealthy foods are processed
@@lakendrajones8449no EVERY DAMN THING WE EAT IS PROCESSED
They said you can use a straw?
I had my sleeve 3 months ago and they said no straw but to me it is easier to drink with a straw. I found that without a straw. I am getting less fluid intake whereas with a straw I am able to intake more fluid, which is more important.
@@AshtonKayte It's so much easier for me to use a straw also I hope I can after a couple months atleast ❤️
Girl i cant even eat half a boiled egg lol i get full so fast 😅
how long after sleeve do u think i can have takis or quasadillas again lol
No takis🤢🤮
@@Vegetarianbull lol true that's what gave me gastritis
Everyone is different, but I would wait at least a few months.
@@avapilsen i had some bread failed to realize bread is one of the best ways to get a obstruction. :/
@@kingkobrazx Oh no! Speedy recovery! What symptoms did you get?
straw???
i wish i could eat the same without surgery
girl yes you can my mom and sister are eating something similar like I am and keeping their calories under 1,000 even thou my calorie intake is 800 a day their stomach is bigger so they're intake is 1k calories a day maybe you can try doing the same friend!
I cant even eat that much anymore
Rigth my Sister was in surgery
❤
A lot of leftovers...
Looks delicious
crackers, chips and breaded chicken? wtf girl those r carbs!
Carbs aren’t bad. Just because they are not part of your plan doesn’t mean they are part of hers.
Breaded chicken on a flour tortilla with a bunch of cheese and some mayo shit on top 🫠 more power to her, I couldn’t tho
@@MissMiaAfroGoddessit’s actually breaded cauliflower
Ya you can totally have carbs but healthy amounts of it and the cheese is still protein it's not bad an the tortilla is actually better for you then actual bread I'll also be having surgery soon iv lost over 70pounds so far just following a baratric diet I used to be 425 I'm 350 and about to have my journey soon so wish me luck and love the protein choices ❤
that's not the worst part here, bread is especially bad and even worse when it's not far out from her surgery bread is one of the main foods along with pasta and some others that can cause an obstruction, heck i think i have an obstruction
A lot of sugar. No potatoe chips and white flour
Day after? Perhaps re word your title!
Not true
Great informational video!
I'm so jealous!!!! Lol 😂
U can't eat all that after surgery
So you basically can’t eat, how terrible is that. I mean that was tiny and you couldn’t even eat the rest of that chicken wrap. So sad.
Is rather do portion control than get the gastric sleeve. You’re committing to a life of not being able to enjoy foods anymore.
Not true at all. You can enjoy the foods you love in small portions and in moderation which is the opposite of what most people do which is why they become overweight. I see the surgery as a stepping stone to help me have a more balanced view of food. You can love and enjoy food without overindulging
Too much !
This is cap , I 2 months in and I can’t even eat a full piece of chicken let alone not throw it back up
Maybe everyone is different?
No crakers no tortillas and only half that shake at a time girl
I doubt tortillas are on your list even if they’re “low carb”
I hope this cultlike trend is over soon...
Did you have diarrhea after surgery. I have a gastric sleeve revision to a full gastric-bypass 5 days ago, and I'm going to the bathroom about 10x.
Guuuurl nooo I wish lol I was constipated before & worst now lol maybe talk to your Dr about that 😉 thanks for watching ❤️
I had my sleeve done 6 days ago and I had to Take a dulcalax to go to the bathroom cuz I was constipated like hell and it was hurting my right side of my stomach so bad..I could barely walk!
@@fiyama1 omg girl yes!!! Same im almost 6 mths next month & im still constipated lol 😆 I'm also drinking dulcolax daily but there's times it doesn't work it sucks try drinking more water & intake food with fiber in it that works for me 😉 thank you for watching don't forget to subscribe ❤️
@@BeeAlvarado okay thank you for thr heads up, I'm just now getting to move on to soft foods now, what kinda food you eat with fiber in it? Cuz at this point laxatives don't really work for me 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😝 and I will definitely subscribe!
Omg me too.
All I want to know is how did you keep your fluids down? I am three days post op and can’t even hold water. 🥹
