Its so satisfying to see a more consistent strategy emerge so long after the release. I cant believe how far this community has come from Scott saying this mode was impossible to people beating it consistently
Messed up a bunch before realising that foxy won’t be stalled if you don’t let the monitor fully open. Have to wait for the white flash. Once I realised he never showed up
Honestly thanks for posting this, I could tell I was doing something wrong because I kept getting Foxy multiple times before 1 AM but I couldn't tell if I was just moving too fast or too slow. I haven't beaten it yet but I managed to make it to 5 AM
Thanks for the tip it was I kept dying to foxy he dashed 4 times but that was because I never fully opened the monitor so it never registered and he kept moving and killing me thanks for helping fix the issue
This is a great tutorial - I’ve been using Markiplier’s/Bigbug’s technique for a shit long time and I would always die at 4-5 AM. With this, I managed to beat 4/20 mode in my second attempt. Thank you for this; you guided and went through things well in the video.
To those of you who don’t know, if the AI is 20, then they will 100 percent move every 5 seconds. Same goes to the door thing. So if animatronics ai is 20 and they are at the door, it only takes five seconds for them to leave Atleast if you have the door shut
@@kodyscout You have to check foxy a lot during 4/20 mode. As far as I know foxy creates a 0.83-17?23? second interval each time you close a monitor. During these intervals he cant phase but after it ends he will go back to moving every 5.01 seconds opportunity chance. If you dont check cams a lot in 4/20 mode you will waste more power than you actually did by opening cams, as foxys first dash steals 1%, seconds dash 6% and 3+ dash 11%
@@edsddsdsds4719 "As far as I know foxy creates a 0.83-17?23? second interval each time you close a monitor" To be exact, Foxy has a locked value, and every frame the Camera Tablet is Open, that locked vale is set to a random whole number from a ranges of 50-1050. Every frame the Camera Tablet is closed, this value is depleted by 1. 50 frames is equal to 0.833... seconds & 1050 frames is equal to 16.666... seconds when playing with the standard 60FPS. Also every run beyond the 3rd run steals more than 11%, the 4th is 16%, 5th is 21%, 6th is 26%, & 7th is 31%, after which you'd run out of power due to how little power you could possibly have at that point.
Dude this is seriously so amazing, I wanted to play the whole game and get the 3 stars but I remembered how awful the old strat was, I used this strat from the first night and ended up beating 4/20 mode in my 1st try, reaching 5 a.m. with 20% left. Thanks, I'm going to start fnaf 2 and I'm definitely going to use your strat :)
@@Zedct5 Im only seeing this until now. I'm not sure if Foxy is RNG based or not, but let's say i got pretty "lucky" with him on my first attempt as he didn't actually get out of pirate cove even once. I think i also got really consistent at flashing the lights as quick as possible, same with flipping the camera.
I just started playing a couple days ago. Already beat night 6, so I want to give 4/20 an attempt. Idk why I'm so late to the party, but it's definitely a fun game. I haven't even delved into the sequels yet - I wanted the first one under my belt before I took the deep dive lol
How to beat 4/20 Mode easy way: 1-Start the night and close both doors imedatly 2-Place your cursor on freddy's nose on the poster (honk easteregg hitbox) 3-Press and hold C, then D and press + on numpad 4-GGez
THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH, after several hours (like 8) of trying the old method, I decided to look for another method. I found your video, switched to your method, and got it on the first try. Ty so much!
@Angel Villafane from what I understand, you can keep freddy in any area he appears in as long as you make sure you check on him frequently/make him your main camera focus :) he only moves if you aren't paying attention to him
@@Mincifaya when chica appears, use that as an opportunity to shut the right door. (also check for Bonnie here! It might be safer to shut both doors but just watch the power.) Then, you can pull up the camera and flip between pirates cove and to where freddy is, so you can see how close foxy is to running at you. If foxy is gone, I would activate his run by checking the hallway and quickly shut the door if you haven't already. He talks about this at 1:57 :)
Aint no way I just bought the game 5 hours ago and after watching years and years of Markiplier and using your strat, I just beat the WHOLE game AND 20/20/20/20 mode!!! Im so happy right now Im shaking man 😂 Thank you so so so much for this strategy omg 🙏
To optimise it even FURTHER don't check the right door until chica leaves the corner there, it's pointless since you will see when they leave through cams. Also if you have an animatronic at your door wait until footsteps to shine your light.
Thank you so much! I beat 4/20 on my second try with 4% power left, I didn't check pirate's cove at all with my camera being on the east hall corner from the beginning, only closed the right door when Chica was there,I started night 1 three days ago, Onto FNAF 2 now!
@@surprisedpotato No, it's not. Chica will always appear over Freddy in the E. Hall Corner camera, meaning that you can always see when Chica is about to reach the door. This also means that you may have to pay closer attention to when to flip the monitor back down, as Freddy's eyes are no longer visible.
Idk how to describe it but as a kid I used to get night terrors about this game, probably because the sounds, gameplay and the design of the animatronics. I've conquered that fear now and am super impressed with this whole series. You made the game look like a joke I'm not surprised that the animatronics are scared of you.
I haven't had nightmares about FNaF in a long time, but wow, did it used to scare me. Once I got over the fear of FNaF, it only became even more enjoyable.
@@AmbienceOfficial yea all it took was to actually get scared and it became more fun. I like the series not for the scares but the stress it puts on you.
No nightmares, but I had a dream that FNaF 4 was kinda like FNaF 1 but a little different, but then the FNaF 4 we know today was released and it was like a fan game or something, I think I have weird dreams
It only took around 2 hours of attempts and I was so excited to beat it! Even though it's probably one of the easiest modes, it still made me really happy. You've just earned a sub 👍
It's been forever since I've commented on your channel (You might remember me from your Fnaf 4 guides) decided to 100% Fnaf 1 today and I managed to do so under 24 hours and I couldn't have done it without YOUR help. On my behalf and the behalf of thousands of Fnaf fans thank you Ambience for taking the time to make these videos for us.
Remember that terrible outdated strategy that everyone used back in the day that relied mostly on "Freddy-luck" towards the end? Ah. Freddy laughs around 100 times if you use that one.
After having the game since late 2014 I finally beat it! Always found it too hard, but after watching this I beat it in only a couple of attempts. I kept opening the doors too early with Chica and Bonnie. But still managed to beat it, now it is time for fnaf 2 golden Freddy mode!
Congrats, glad I could help! I've also made a guide for FNaF 2's 10/20 mode, as well as the other games in the series, so check those out if you need them and let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you so much bro! I've been working on this night for, IM NOT EVEN JOKING, 5 YEARS! Again man, thank you for ALL of your FNaF videos. Keep up the good work!
OMG THANK YOU. Without this tutorial i would've never completed the night, THANK YOU!! It's just a relief having the night and the game over with and now, i can proceed to the next. Once again, thank you!
i'm still seriously amazed how amazing ohlookitsfnaf's strategy was for all the way back in the day. it's a bit more luck based than this, but how much they knew of the game even back in 2014 is insane compared to other players at the time. this strategy is definitely safer than theirs, great video!
@@JanoraX bad luck would be my guess. Fnaf 1 relies on more luck than the other custom nights (except ucn) so the strategy isn't as foolproof as the meta strats in other custom nights.
I was able to beat 4/20 mode thanks to this strategy. My success was largely due to a fortunate circumstance where Bonnie appeared at the door just as Foxy was running down the hall, causing me to accidentally block Foxy.
Congrats, and you're welcome! I've made guides for the other games in the series as well, so check those out if you need them and let me know if you have any questions!
I just beat this mode today using your method. It took a few tries but I got it after about 90 minutes. Even with this method, it is incredibly unnerving to play this game; not because horror elements, but the intensity of trying not to miss a move. I think I managed to keep Foxy at bay for the entire night.
Thank you so much for these tutorials!! I just finished playing 4/20 mode, and after many tutorials, I finally won with this one! I'm so glad I found your channel. Keep up the good work mate
Hey everyone I just wanted to let you know that if you stay on the camera for a bit more (maybe around 1 second or 0.75 seconds on cam 4b) this will completely eliminate foxy through out the night without even looking at pirates cove. You will run out of power but you will have enough time left to beat the night before Freddy attacks. And thank you Ambience for the guide:)
Staying on the cameras makes foxy slower? Sry but i don't know much about fnaf 1,btw I'm trying to beat 4/20 rn but when i check rapidly on foxy freddy attacks ne even if on 4b there's chica
@@bklfberta3151 basically my strategy is exactly the same as what the video is showing you expect I stay on the camera 4b for like one second not rapidly switch it off. This should eliminate foxy during the night. hope that helps
i actually beated the entire game in a single day just by watching all of your guides, also i beated every night first try (except 4/20, i did it on my 2nd try)
Thanks for this guide! I’m a long time fan of FNAF, but have never played the games. I’m playing them all for the first time, and this guide helped me beat the original FNAF in two days!
Bro no shot, I just watched this video the day before, and then today I tried this strategy and I beat it first try, that's how you know that this is a great strategy, thanks for the video bro.
@@SUPPA_8 if you're quick enough with the camera flips and checking the doors enough bonnie and chica wont have enough time to get their movement opportunity to jam your down, although, if you mess up and it's near the end of the night AND foxy is in stage 1 or 2, you might be able to wait it out and finish the nightl
Just got it on my second attempt after watching this video. Thank you so much! I was previously doing the strat where you close the right door when checking the cameras so I could see Foxy’s progress but like you said it was hard and used too much power. Time to start FNAF 2!
Your guides make the game super easy. I just got it on mobile because my pc wasn’t working, and decided to play it again. I beat 1st and second night first try. Third night I died once then one. 4-6 I won with zero deaths and 4/20 I beat 4th try. In all it took less than an hour because of your great strategies. Definitely going to subscribe
Here's a good tip for mobile users: If you check a door and feel the slight bit of vibration, shut that door immediately. Vibration means an animatronic is at your door. You don’t even have to register that they're there, just feel vibration and SHUT.
thank you so much! I can't believe that I would be succeeding at this after 5 tries. I bought it for pc just now and beat nights 1-6 in a row, and then after 5 failed attempts I beat 4/20 mode. Thank you so much!❤️
I recently started playing all the games before Security Breach comes out for fun. Got through this one first try without dying,Including 4/20 using this strategy. Suffice to say, this game is EZ
I just want to thank this guy, I've been playing fnaf for like 4 hours and finally beat 20/20 mode. if it weren't for this guy i wouldn't have beaten it. thank you.
I remember a couple of years ago, I tried beating 4/20 using the close the right door every time you look at foxy strat and I went insane. Well now with this I literally beat it on my actual very first attempt in 2 years. I'm very happy with that lol. It's insane how good this strategy is. Also foxy didn't attack me the entire night. I guess I was checking the cams too well? Because he actually didn't even leave once. Now onto my biggest nightmare. FNAF 2. I know exactly how unfair it is because I have got good practice on it. Reached 4 AM once. Now it's time to beat it. Imma watch your guide too see what I could gather. Thanks man.
Thx so much for this strategy! I beat it on the fourth try, it was pretty easy doing this strategy. I lost on the 1st try because I accidentally switched back to the wrong camera after checking foxy. The 2nd try, because the lights jammed on the left door because I didn’t check bonnie enough, and the third try because I got really bad freddy RNG. But this strategy works REALLY well if you do it right. I’m on mobile by the way, so it works well on mobile. I have games 1-4 right now, and after beating this, i have three stars on each one except for fnaf 4 because I literally cannot beat night seven, I wouldn’t ask you to make a video on that though, fnaf 4 really isn’t like the other games, i know exactly what to do for night 7, its just so hard. Anyways, this video earned u a new subscriber. Thanks man.
You're welcome, congrats on beating 4/20! I've actually covered the entirety of FNaF 4 already, including Night 7, Night 8, and the challenges. I've 100%ed the entire series. I'll link the Night 7 guide below. ruclips.net/video/DxhcM_4qyZ/видео.html
@@AmbienceOfficial hey thanks, but i’m still not sure i’m gonna beat it lol. I just find fnaf 4 SO much harder than the other games. I’m just not sure night 7 or aggressive nightmare mode are things i wanna spend my time doing. I might do a few attempts on them every once in a while, but I don’t really wanna sit there for hours straight and try to beat them lol. But thanks for making all the guides you’ve made. They’re really useful for beginners, or more experienced players like me. Also I just checked your sub count, and you deserve SOO much more. You get straight to the point with no cringey 3D music intros, your tutorials ACTUALLY help, and one of the biggest things, you reply to pretty much every single question, and heart a ton of comments, not a lot of youtubers do that. I hope you eventually blow up some day in the future, you deserve it.
Thanks for making this! I only knew the old strategy and I felt like it was impossible for me to pull off but with enough practice, I actually believe it's possible to beat it with this strategy
Bro this strat is awesome! I've been trying just to stall Freddy from the stage but he kept escaping. The fact that you checked cam 4B EXCEPT Showstage is awesome, even though it took me some attempts I got it in 3 days.
Thank u so much for making these guides, they have helped me beat 4/20 in fnaf 1, 10/20 in fnaf 2, aggressive nightmare mode in fnaf 3, 5 am on 4/20 in fnaf 4, 10/20 mode in sl and 50/20 mode twice. These guides have been so helpful, thank u ambience :)
Dude. After watching this video I beat 20/20/20/20 mode FIRST TRY (i kind of got lucky tho ngl, Foxy didn't run at all). Thanks for the video, this really helped
My 1st try on 4/20 mode, I tried using the strategy I used to beat nights 4 to 6, where I keep the camera on the stage to keep Freddy from moving at all. Let’s just say that strategy did not go so well lol (because Freddy moved anyway).
Thanks! I've finally 100%'d Fnaf 1! I didn’t touch the game for 3 months after beating Night 6 but ended up beating 4/20 mode on my 3rd try! I tried a different strategy where I kept the cameras up for 0.75-1 second, because of this Foxy never ran out his cove.
I'm using the same strategy, except that I don't check the right hallway light if I didn't see Chica on cam 4B (if the camera goes off, then I'll check it too) She seems to always be prioritized on cameras and appear over Freddy.
@@Mr._Tru3 I don't think it's necessary to forego checking the right light until Chica appears in 4B and add an extra layer of complexity. However, this is very interesting and could help green runs a lot, so I'll be sure to mention it in the future. Thanks for showing me this!
@@AmbienceOfficial there is a bug that chica just decides to completely bypass camera 4b and go straight from 4a to the office happened to some people, including me.
Not gonna lie this strategy is the best, a work of art amongst all I have been using the old strategy (used by markiplier) for three days and I got close once’s today i watched this video once and 40 minutes later I beat 20/20 you deserve more subs
This strategy really works. I barely made it past night 6 when I played this game. I opened fnaf for the first time in years just to try out this strat, and I beat 4/20 mode first try. Foxy didn't even attack me once. I did get quite lucky with Freddy at the end, though.
This strategy is great ! It allowed me beat it pretty easily ^^ It was not free, the appropriate difficulty for FNAF 1 :) I personally play th game on Switch so since the stick to go to a door is the same than the button to change camera so it adds challenge and you must be extra careful to not change camera since Freddy would enter and kill you, so you must not trigger the movement too early. Not terrible though
Beat it on my 4th attempt after watching this!! Edit: Bit of advice for anyone else attempting this. Flipping the camera up and down is NOT enough to stall Foxy. You have to flip it up for just long enough that you can actually see the camera feed. I was flipping it up/down as fast as I could and Foxy attacked me by 1 AM.
I have a 4/20 strat and it is really easy. Here it is: 1. Don’t focus on right door 2. Don’t use cameras 3. Use left door light to see bonnie and close it if he is there 4. Close left door every 25-30 seconds and open the door once foxy had left (best if you have another device that you use a timer on) 5. Repeat
even with this strategy i struggle for 2 reasons. 1. my hands get shaky from fast movement 2. i try to click on and off the lights as fast as i can, but they just won't turn off sometimes. EDIT: after a few tries, and disconnecting my second monitor, i finally did it!
everytime you close the right door (chica's door) check foxy's cam, if he isn't there close the left door and check the left hallway. if he isn't there just resume your normal cycle.
Finally!! Loved it, I think I said this before but I'm saying again anyways, you're extremely talented and I'll do my best to introduce some of my friends to your channel, you deserve it. So, I know Scott patched the time it takes on some other 20 modes in futures games, but was it patched in this one aswell? FNAF 3 is actually my favorite one of the franchise, can't wait to watch all of your guides in one go!
Thanks, I really appreciate it! If you mean the time it takes to beat the night, it has never been patched as far as I know, it has always taken 8 minutes and 55 seconds to beat a night in FNaF 1. (I originally typed 36 seconds, my bad, had to edit that.)
yoo, I'm practicing on this rn, and your guide really helps me understand the animatronics better ^^ Btw, Congrats on 1K subs buddy ;P UPDATE: I've done it ^^
@@AmbienceOfficial I am planning to play them! But for FNaF 2, I don't think I need a guide, cause, yk, I'm a natural ;)) jkjk, I'll come back here if I need help ^^
Just beat 4/20, you are a legend! Helped so much. I tried a few things that helped with me conserving power if anyone is having problems in that regard. - Keep your curser on the left side most of the night. Open and close the camera pretty fast after one another, check left light for Bonnie, open camera again. Repeat if you don’t see Chica on cams. - When you do see Chica or cameras go dark, go to the strat showed here as it is best way to have maximal protection from Freddy, Bonnie and Chica. - Once comfortable Chica is def gone, go back to left hand strat. -Some might be concerned Chica may slip by, but when you are opening the cameras up so much without the light, she very likely won’t get past. Every run I did she never got past. However, to be safe I personally checked her light when I checked Bonnie’s, at least most of the time so it goes: Open Close (OC) Camera, OC Camera, OC Camera, flash left, OC Camera, flash right, OC Camera, repeat. This really helped me conserve energy and since you can spend more time flipping, chances of foxy showing up are minimal, he didn’t even come close on my run. Also side note since I played on switch, the standing still really helped since sometimes the close camera button didn’t register so when I went to move it went off Freddy’s camera and he killed me so standing still really helped. Again, thanks so much, sorry bout the long comment lol
This strat is incredible and easy to follow. I made 1 modification where i always check the right door (left door, camera, right door, camera) because every time i tried your strat chica would immediately get to my door and kill me. Great video, thank you!
Chica always needs to appear at 4b before appearing at your door. While checking on Freddy, if Chica appears instead of Freddy, and disappears, then she is most of the time at your door, or moved at the back of the hallway. Doing this basically means you barely check the right door, unless you see Chica disappear from camera 4b.
Hey man, Really enjoying the videos still trying 420 just panic late on when checking foxy, having main issues with always being a console player so finding it hard to move quickly and accurately with the mouse. For practising movement i've been going into custom night with bonnie and chica on 20 and 0 for foxy and freddie. Then checking pirates cove whenever chica is there. Do you think that's a good way to practise to beat 420? love the videos bro
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy the videos! That's actually a pretty smart way to practice precision and you should see some definite improvement after a while. I can't imagine playing on console honestly, seems like it would be pretty difficult compared to PC. Keep practicing, you'll get it eventually. Good luck!
This man has saved me in fnaf, he helped me in fnaf 1 might 5, 6, and 7, he helped me with fnaf 2 night 5, fnaf sl night 5, fnaf 3, fnaf 4 night 4, fnaf 6 entirely, and 40/20 mode fnaf ucn. All I can say is thank you Ambience
Probably been commented a lot here already, but since you're keeping the selected camera on 4B for basically the entire night, you'll always know when Chica has potentially moved to the Right Door Blind Spot (Chica can only move to the Right Door Blind Spot from Camera 4B - East Hall Corner.), meaning you can give most of your focus to the Left Door Light, as well as be able to open & close the Camera Tablet more rapidly, allowing you to lock Foxy more often & conserve Power better.
This is a great strategy! I just wanted to add some things that might help. 1. You don't need to check the right door that much, as long you check the cameras a lot, you'll know when chica is at your door because she'll replace freddy on the camera and then when you can see freddy again, check the lights because she's most likely at the door. 2. You also don't really need to check foxy at all, as long you look at the cameras very often he'll never attack. I did about 15 attempts before I beat it and in all those attempts foxy never attacked. Hope this helped!
It’s sometimes good to close the right door and flip over to see foxys progress incase you didn’t flip it enough or the timer went to 0.85 secs after a flip According to foxy he moves every 5 seconds but opening cams stall him When you open cams the game rolls a number from 0.85-16 seconds If you don’t open the cams in the amount of time then foxy moves one stage and it restarts to the 5 sec thing If you were 1 second late then checking on foxy should be a main priority after making sure Bonnie isn’t there and closing the right door

To be exact, Foxy has a locked value, and every frame the Camera Tablet is Open, that locked vale is set to a random whole number from a ranges of 50-1050.

How to beat 4/20 Mode easy way:
1-Start the night and close both doors imedatly
2-Place your cursor on freddy's nose on the poster (honk easteregg hitbox)
3-Press and hold C, then D and press + on numpad
4-GGez

Oh yeah, the old method is much harder. This one allows for consistent runs with the power on, and it's way easier.
@Angel Villafane from what I understand, you can keep freddy in any area he appears in as long as you make sure you check on him frequently/make him your main camera focus :) he only moves if you aren't paying attention to him
@@navitalksalot4642 how did you deal with the unpredicted Foxy? Please I need tip

What do you mean by Chica cancelling out Freddy? Is it possible to change cameras without closing the door while Chica is in E. hall corner?
@@surprisedpotato No, it's not. Chica will always appear over Freddy in the E. Hall Corner camera, meaning that you can always see when Chica is about to reach the door. This also means that you may have to pay closer attention to when to flip the monitor back down, as Freddy's eyes are no longer visible.
@@AmbienceOfficial So, it's simply only a visual thing, where Chica is shown but Freddy is still there. Right?

Here's a good tip for mobile users:
If you check a door and feel the slight bit of vibration, shut that door immediately. Vibration means an animatronic is at your door. You don’t even have to register that they're there, just feel vibration and SHUT.

It allowed me beat it pretty easily ^^
It was not free, the appropriate difficulty for FNAF 1 :)
I personally play th game on Switch so since the stick to go to a door is the same than the button to change camera so it adds challenge and you must be extra careful to not change camera since Freddy would enter and kill you, so you must not trigger the movement too early.
I completed 4/20 a week ago and just now i see this. Great video though.
Haha, that's poor timing. Thanks!
I have a 4/20 strat and it is really easy. Here it is:
1. Don’t focus on right door
2. Don’t use cameras
3. Use left door light to see bonnie and close it if he is there
4. Close left door every 25-30 seconds and open the door once foxy had left (best if you have another device that you use a timer on)
5. Repeat
thank you so much, i was getting so close with marks method but when i did this one i beat it first try
even with this strategy i struggle for 2 reasons.
1. my hands get shaky from fast movement
2. i try to click on and off the lights as fast as i can, but they just won't turn off sometimes.
EDIT: after a few tries, and disconnecting my second monitor, i finally did it!
This happened to me the lights wouldn’t turn off
Foxy keeps killing me
everytime you close the right door (chica's door) check foxy's cam, if he isn't there close the left door and check the left hallway. if he isn't there just resume your normal cycle.
Finally!! Loved it, I think I said this before but I'm saying again anyways, you're extremely talented and I'll do my best to introduce some of my friends to your channel, you deserve it. honestly worth it from dying to a bastard who has a 1 in ♾ chance to show up
Just beat 4/20, you are a legend!
That’s exactly what a non-human would say
What are foxy’s intervals?

you literally are the GOAT, I beat this game on my first try using your strategy
Hope this helped!
thanks !!!! 🙏 😊
It’s sometimes good to close the right door and flip over to see foxys progress incase you didn’t flip it enough or the timer went to 0.85 secs after a flip
According to foxy he moves every 5 seconds but opening cams stall him
When you open cams the game rolls a number from 0.85-16 seconds
If you don’t open the cams in the amount of time then foxy moves one stage and it restarts to the 5 sec thing
If you were 1 second late then checking on foxy should be a main priority after making sure Bonnie isn’t there and closing the right door
