Today I thought I'd upload a video addressing a lot of your questions and problems with my last theory because I don't think I've ever gotten more backlash from a video of mine. If you disagree with the theory that's okay and you are valid, just be nice about it lol. I love you all and hope you enjoy :)

Could someone make us a shirt that John wears that says “Need more proof?” please and ty
It’s now his catchphrase and I’m not mad😂
I alway mentally add an underbreath "yeah, me too" :D
Could Gregory be human, but some sort of clone? Like the supposed Vanny / Vanessa twins

arent vanny/vanessa the same person (see character encyclopedia)
@@ScoreMagnet i cant live in a world where that crap is cannon
@@Heilig2241 yeah but that character encyclopedia is the same book that shows the crying child as a grey ghost even though he never shows up as one, and apparently doesn't even have a page for michael. arguably one of the most important characters in the franchise.
@@bootonia1518 rye toast’s video has a good point on the Michael thing

Edit: we don’t have any confirmation for mike being mike Schmidt and them
Is feels so weird to see RUclipsrs actually having civil, friendly, response videos (to response videos) that specifically go out of their way to stay civilized
"One big family" is a line that already gave me chills in Fnaf 6. Now that it has a meaning, I am very terrified of where this theory is headed. I am getting goosebumps just thinking about the entire Afton family (plus Charlie and Henry) being in one location all that time without us really considering it or realising it. Love your content man. Keep up the good work.
The "one big happy family" bit had me shocked! You're definitely onto something here, I've never thought about why they decided to create Molten Freddy using the same face and voice actor as Funtime Freddy. Looking forward to the next FuhNaff video!
It's because William Afton raised them (the MCI children), according to the Candy Cadet stories.
I do like the theory but I think the theory in the latest GT video is more narratively consistent. Especially the point Matt brought up that William would have no reason to make animatronics to trap kids before experimenting with remnant. For this to work, the missing children's incident would needed to have happened _before_ Charlie's death so that William would have a reason to want to work with remnant, which I don't really see being possible.
The possibility of the crying child already dying is a curious one though, since it would explain the hole in the GT video where he crying child is scared of the animatronics before anyone has died. Perhaps there was another accident or incident? Who knows.
@NotRod if I had nightmares of friggen 7 foot tall robots I’d be scared to every set foot in a Freddy’s
@@ghostygamerz4800 I'm talking about the specific line of "remember what you saw?" from the plush. CC isn't just scared of freddy's, he's scared because he saw something
@@notrod5341wasnt the thing he saw something to do with the death of Elizabeth Afton?
@@dhavzr23that would mean William made killer robots before charlie died which won't make sense since Elizabeth death was by being scooped
@@dhavzr23 That runs into the same problem I mentioned with the funtimes not being around yet, at least in the theory Matt gave.
can we just appreciate the guys love for the game and his constant effort in these uploads. thank you john.
Haven’t heard that one before
But these theories just seem a little bit lazy to me. They’re held together by weak coincidences and don’t really acknowledge a lot of the well established facts of the lore. But then again, I feel like fnaf (the franchise not John) is purposefully misleading and conflicting because that’s a huge selling point that Scott is definitely aware of. The element of an “ultimate unsolvable mystery” is definitely the key to the franchise’s reach and longevity. It’s more than just a good “horror” game. This is clear from the progression of the games pivoting from a traditional horror game like Fnaf 1-4 to becoming much more of a campaign/story-mode game with recent releases like SL (being more of a linear horror game), Fnaf VR with the tapes and glitchtrap, and of course Security Breach being a full on “upgrade your character” style of play. My point is, the pieces will never fit perfectly together because the “story” wasn’t designed that way. Maybe Scott’s right to question whether the community would accept it that way.
Regardless if this theory is correct, wrong, or even if certain parts of it are on the right track, it's fascinating to see John and Matt's perspectives on the story. Again, some people still need to be reminded and realize that these are just theories at the end of the day. They may come across as huge leaps that lead to heated debates, but that's mainly due to the fact we just don't have enough information to come up with a definitive conclusion. This is why we have to think outside the box from time to time. I simply enjoy talking about the what-ifs, while also taking them with a grain of salt to not come up with false expectations for future mainline FNAF content.
That's why I love FNaF. You can make an interesting story from your conclusions or take some conclusions from others to form how you interpret the story.
For real life that is so cool and awesome 😢
Doesn't Fruity Maze reveal that William Afton, in his Spring bonniesuit, was buried in the hole the whole time and the MCI Killer didn't notice him? Rendering the entire theory, as well Matpat's theories, into the gutter?
@@justice8718 Who knows really. But that is an interesting thought though.
@@fenrirslip I feel like people are trying so hard to put WIlliam MCI killer role when it increasingly makes less and less sense.
I'm sorry to hear you got rude backlash on your last video. I don't comment but I enjoy all your videos and theories, even if I don't agree with all of them (I agree with most of them!) I'm always interested in hearing what you have to say on the series.
It’s all fun and enjoyment of this amazing series, someone always has to be mad 😔
I’m not a fan of this theory but I respect you, dude, and I’ll *always come back* for your content. Be nice, folks. ✌🏻
John: *mentions "One big happy family!"
My brain as it explodes: LET HIM COOK!!!
I like this theory a lot. I had a few minor issues with MatPat's timeline (still a great and well thought out video) and this fits those problems better for me personally. Both are great perspectives though and i can't wait to hear more!
I just know the biggest point of contention is Micheal is the one we play as in FNAF four i am in the camp he was and it takes place in the middle of FNAF two and three
My thing is with the Bite, while I'm not sure if I agree with he lived or survived based on these two theories, I don't agree with MatPat's interpretation of the "I will put you back together" quote and I like the explanation here a lot more. Also the explanation of midnight motorist feels more cohesive here than in MatPats. Can't say for sure which is actually better but I'm more inclined to align with this one for now. I'd love to hear them duke it out over their respective theories
You’re respectful, something hard to find nowadays, especially in the Fnaf community. Plot holes do exist in this theory, but I like this a lot more than MatPats take in his video. His explanation for Midnight Motorist felt like he went with the simplest possible explanation, as to not get a whole lot wrong, which is weird considering his first timeline video felt like one massive leap, even if it made sense
I really appreciate what you are doing with your theories. I've been a fan of FNAF from nearly the very beginning, and it's almost effortless to get stuck in the same way of thinking, so these fresh, new perspectives are a breath of fresh air, no matter if they are right or wrong.
Whether or not the theories are likely "true" or not doesn't matter that much to me, I just appreciate how you're finding new details to talk about, and the theory videos you make about these details are fun and entertaining. Gets people thinking in new ways
Keep it up 👍

major kudos to you john for always finding new interesting details to talk about! and even more kudos for making an entire video answering comments and concerns about your theories, it truly makes the franchise feel alive again
If illusion disks work on sound, and the footprint is caused by the illusion, that would imply that Funtime freddy is still within hearing distance when afton finds the footsteps. So I think the minigame is pretty certainly metaphorical
Just a heads up. Those "buttons" are just nails/screws that every robot has. Not the actual buttons to control the animatronics. Even so, I understand your argument. "I will put you back together" has always been an enigma of a line to understand. It feels more than just reviving or fixing a robot. And I feel you're right about the box. It likely wasn't anything specific but something to probably explain the lore of all the games.
Specifically they are called rivets
@@sharlene3819 Thanks for that knowledge!
The dude got knocked down, but got up again. Keep coming up with crazy theories, they put new perspectives on things
We're never gonna keep him down
I definitely could see Molten Freddy as the Agony versions of the family.
Having Remnant and Agony be separated from one another is a wrench in how to talk about the ghosts. Because Remnant ghosts seem to behave differently than Agony ghosts, though we have no real rules on this behavior. Except for those proposed in the books I think. And no one's really equated those rules to the games as far as I know.
I agree; Remnant and Agony is different
@2:29 I think the reason why Afton bleeds and CC doesn't is simply due to the manner that they died. Afton was impaled by endoskeleton parts all over his body. CC had his head crushed. It would stand to reason that Afton's death would probably be more bloody
Not really if you crush someone head they would blow up like a balloon of blood
@@gameuniverse5973 When a body part is crushed, it doesn't normally spurt blood everywhere. Like yeah it'll bleed, but not the same as being impaled all over your body.
I am constantly blown away by your content. You've really made your place in the big leagues of fnaf theories. Keep up the good work!!
I would love to see you, Matt and Tom (maybe even some other theorists) talk about this at some point just like you guys did with the Security Breach theory. I could listen to you guys talk about FNaF lore for hours. 😅
Add RyeToast and it’d be cool
@@fantasysquad8425 Yeess!
Holy crap the whole "One big happy family" moment with your theory on Molten Freddy gave me chills.... well done!
Ok this is great the Molten Freddy part where he says “One big happy Family” is really convincing. I really like the theory but just it’s mind blowing
I personally think that there is neither an Illusion or a animatronic that walked there on it's on, but a Exoskeleton/Statue standing outside there. Since we see only 1 pair of footprints outside. And that it's there to scare off the person that was inside the room (Or to keep them inside the house).
Problem with that the first Endo only had two toes not three and spring locks was also the norm
1:24 shadow freddy isn't an illusion he's some type of paranormal entity, most likely a manifestation of william's anger
Sssssooooooo...
Agony?

the box was meant to represent all of the answers like you said, but we know what the original answer was. it was going to confirm the dream theory. then, when scott changed his mind because he thought it would be too controversial, the answer to what was in the box changed. "all the pieces put together" is what the story of fnaf 6 is about. all of the "pieces" (the afton family, the remaining spirits, and henry) being brought together in one place, to be burned away and put to rest
Or at least... simply being put together. As you said, Step 1 is to get everyone together in one place.
Except... Step 2 is where Henry fucked up completely, FNAF 6 definitely implies his plan was doomed from the start :V
@@higueraft571
Fnaf 6 was meant to be the end of the story, with everyone being put to rest for good. Then, steel wool came along and rescanned it so they could keep the story going
You could also argue that Gregory is listed as human because he believes he is human or even that he wants everyone to perceive him as human. For all we know, he could be an animatronic too but the listing is based on how he perceives himself and wants others to perceive him.
Another argument for the Gregory listed as human point in the book is that Charlie is also listed as human despite being literally shown to be one of multiple robots in The Fourth Closet
Gregory might be part human cyborgs or androids can be introduced
The writing is purely about in-game Charlie, but bizarrely all the images they used are about book Charlie.
@@imaginefun13 but they still talk about the Charlie in the books, or at least make a reference about her as a version of her from another universe or something like that
@@neliaortiz9724 But it's also a lie, or maybe just a way to not spoil the story. They say something like, "Another version of Charlie, who survived childhood, features in the books." Which isn't actually true, because of course we know that she did not survive childhood. It's just a weird thing to include that bit instead of just saying that another version of Charlie features in the books, without mentioning her supposed survival.
One thing I'll say about the encyclopedia is I was looking at old man consequences and it doesnt list him as being in FNAF world, but it does list DeeDee as being in FNAF world (so it isn't just that FNAF world wasnt spoken about at all). I say this because you mentioned in the last video that crying child isn't listed as being in FNAF 3 but that could just be a mistake like with old man consequences
I'm so impressed by your theories and the way you present them, John! It's amazing to see the dedication you put into researching the FNAF franchise and finding new evidence. Your videos are always such a treat to watch, and I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

"At least on my channel" Now I'm just excited for the GTLive to come out.
Proud of you for speaking up for yourself, and sticking to your guns. You’re right, these are THEORIES. I’m sorry that you had to deal with people being so aggressive. There was no need for it.
You're doing a great job ❤
Gosh that Molten Freddy line is enticing. I personally don't think it works but I really like the theory. Can't wait for matpat react to this to.
"I'm done with this theory now, at least on my channel"
MatPat: "Hey guys I have a special guest, FuhNaff
im pretty sure those "buttons" are rivets. a pretty common thing that would probably be found in all of the animatronics. the fact that an animatronic with segmented metal faceplates has spring locks is more important than the "buttons"
Keep up the good work, John. Your theories are always interesting to hear, even if i agree with/like some parts, or respectfully disagree with some parts too.
I think one thing we need to keep in mind is that scott said the first 4 games are the “main story” and wasn’t even thinking of sister location at the time of these games, So i think the key to solving the first 4 games is still inside fnaf 4, and starting at fnaf five is adding onto that main story, and could be there to help clarify some things but don’t imply anything major to the lore of the first 4 games.
I absolutely LOVE this theory because I've been working on a theory that's almost exactly the same for a while now and I literally jumped out of my chair when I realized you had the same theory. It mostly revolved around trying to explain why Evan is afraid of the animatronics, why and how Circus Baby could exist so early in the timeline/how Elizabeth could have died first, and general motivations from William. The only issue I've come across that has halted my theory entirely is the presence of who I assume is William's wife in Midnight Motorist. I originally felt like William began this rabbithole of experimenting on death because of the death of his wife and/or is made vaguely aware of the nature of souls some other way. I'm basically trying to figure out why and how the Funtime animatronics would be around before the death of Evan OR Elizabeth. Either way I'm happy someone else is looking into this theory cuz my friends keep calling me crazy for it haha.
I love these new videos that bring a new standpoint on the timeline
"I'm done talking about this theory...at least on my channel."
You wouldn't be on the next GTLive, would you? 👀
John: "Henry couldn't do it cause he's not a killer" Matpat: "And I took that personally"
"At least on my channel." was the *coldest* closing line I've heard, and evoked such a visceral reaction of excitement, I literally exclaimed out loud... in the company break room.
Also, while I have personal issues with the theory, that doesn't change that I find it creative and interesting; it's a good, well-thought theory that I'm certain took an effort crafting. Also, I really like your presentation.
Basically, keep it up.
what does it mean tho?? im honestly curious and confused about that ending D:
For the people that disagree (or out right hate) on this theory I do want to say this isn’t concrete, only theories, please be understanding. This is a fictional series about a pizza bear after all, and you can make any theory you want.
Edit: oops haha he literally says this in the first 10 seconds my bad. (;▽;)
i love his videos and how they bring more information to the table to debate about and research. whether i agree or not, it's guaranteed i'll enjoy his videos
Keep up the videos. I have enjoyed your channel since I discovered it. Your videos are fun and offer different perspectives. I was introduced to the games by my oldest son when he was younger. He has grown up and left for the military. These videos remind me of those times.
One question that I have is that in the midnight minigame, afton says, "He will be sorry when he gets back" so he knows that he will be back.
The madman, he didn’t back out!!!
Tbh I think from sister location onwards the story became pretty straightforward but Scott added a bunch of red herrings that don’t really matter that much to the story like midnight motorist in order to keep the theories going and make us think the lore is a lot more complex than it actually is
You’re right Jon, this perspective feels like it could push the community to some new areas and get some long lost answers, especially when it comes to bridging gaps between the books and games! Thank you for putting it out there despite how mean some theorists can be to new ideas in the space
Fuhnaff! Keep these theories coming! Your FNAF content is so on point and your theorizing is so novel! I feel that your videos made MatPat think twice and skip a week on his timeline! Your midnight motorist is the best interpretation of that mess of a game I have heard of to date!!! Keep it up!
5:36, That's my favorite line that Molten Freddy says. Its creepy and I agree with you John. But who's to say the dirt mound is where crying child was buried?
Also, I've always thought the Fnaf 4 box was just a physical representation of all the answers to Fnaf. And the quote that "perhaps some things are best left forgotten, for now" could mean that some answers are left forgotten, but will make a comeback.
William Afton is the one buried in the dirt mound. Fruity Maze literally reveals this.

John, thanks for these theories. The styling and love you put into writing these is inspiring and just so goddamn entertaining. And the edits just bring me back in time. Dont stop!
1:56. This is great example for what I think maybe is the biggest problem about how people interprets the different endings (like Vanesse / Vanny twins ending) and that´s that everyone thinks of them as ending instead of small pieces of informations.
Need more proof?
Let us take Gregory and his escape ending (He runs away from the Pizzaplex and fall asleep in a cardboard box, before Vanny finds him). First: Why do everyone think Gregory is homeless? Because there is records of him? That´s easily explained: Gregory (nor his family) has never been to Freddy´s Mega Pizzaplex before and therefore doesn´t have a guest profile. So why "the Homeless" ending? Before the ending plays out Freddy and Gregory have a conversation about the Pizzaplex not being safe and there will be more disappearances. If we look at the newspaper Gregory is using to cover himself, we notes an article about 9 missing persons. And why would Gregory care about missing persons (most likely children) if he was homeless? It would make more sense if they was his friends or classmates.
So here what I think happen:
Children starting to disappear (most likely the work of Vanny) and police has no leads. The Children at Gregory´s school start coming up with their theories and conclude that all the disappearances happen within or around Freddy´s Mega Pizzaplex, but thier parents nor other adults don´t believe them (maybe the police has already investigated the Pizzaplex, but found nothing). So in the end Gregory decides to investigate the Pizzaplex himself.
I think the reason Freddy became leader post baby ejection was because of kellens prefomence
This is amazing! I really appreciate listening to you and your theories. The most recent GT Theory video about the history of FNAF has been good, but I feel like their interpretation of Midnight Motorist doesn’t fit at all. Your theory does. Please keep making this content!!
Side note: have you seen the balloon world merch that has come out recently for FNAF? The FNAF characters all look like Balloon Boy… it’s really interesting!
"At least on my channel" ... sounds like a teaser for a mattpatt collab coming
"Need more Proof" is gonna turn into a classic theory phrase
although i dont agree with the theory, its still been super fun to watch! i love seeing super unique theories like this! please keep up the good work, ur theories are always really fresh and cool, and watching different interpretations of the lore is always a fun time!!
I hope the fnaf community can learn to be a lil more open minded and understanding when it comes to new theories. John, Team Theorist, RyeToast etc are all simply working on quality content to further our understanding of the universe. I personally think it’s wonderful seeing all this new dialogue within the fandom.
Keep it up John 💙
I really enjoy watching your videos and the last one was not any different! You can tell how much thought and detail is put into each one, and that’s what makes theories so much fun to begin with!!😊
John's "Need more proof?" Is now his equivalent of Matpat's "LOOOOOOORE"
To be fair the character encyclopedia also says Charlie is a human and she is Literally confirmed a robot. 🧐
Your takes on the lore have reminded me that most of the lore isn't even set in stone yet. I'm so used to hearing the same or similar theories about certain things that it's just become fact in my mind. Whether you're right or wrong, I still wholeheartedly enjoy hearing your unique perspective
I’m so glad you brought up count the ways! It was the first thing I thought of when you suggested Funtime Freddy in the last video
Dude these theories are absolutely amazing! Keep up the work ✌️
I really like the explanation Brussel had in his timeline video that he made a few weeks ago. It's always struck me as weird though how there's no broken glass on the ground outside the house... like someone was breaking in rather than breaking out which this theory does a better job at explaining imo. Still doesn't really explain the little footprints if the broken glass was someone breaking in but who knows
The problem is how would the one breaking in get out of the house there only one hallway with a front door
@@gameuniverse5973 the window breaking inwards would mean that an animatronic smashed through to grab or free someone and then that person climbed out. Only problem is that the animatronic footprints don't go up to the window. You could say something was thrown through the window.
Still makes absolutely no sense story wise lol
These video's has helped me understand the lore much more than I already have, and even though they are just theories, they make so much sense if you think about it in the logic of the universe this takes place in. There are some things I had trouble understanding though, but those were just words I found were put together weirdly and made a weird sentence, most likely just be my ability to understand though. But nonetheless, this helped me understand a lot of the lore, and has given me many different perspectives of this franchise, and thank you for not only summarizing what happened throughout the timeline, and the events that happened, but also putting it together in a way that makes a lot of sense. I can't wait to see what theories you come up with after the dlc comes out, and thanks for the great content!
Also, thank you so much for the effort you put into researching everything about this franchise, since it would take so much time and effort to put everything together. This isn't just a thanks to you fuhnaff, but for everyone else out there gathering information for the community to help solve this giant mystery, and for that, amazing work, and keep up the effort. Everyone in the community appreciates your effort, and I'm sure I do too. Keep it up!
The ‘need more proof’ is iconic at this point 🤣❤️
Matpat is fuming that this is happening in the middle of his timeline breakdown
Haven't finished the vid, but I'm glad he's back, we NEED young blood in this theory community. Be back after for my thoughts!
I think your theories are great and i like your new perspectives on the timeline. I would appreciate your explanations being a bit less confusing because i had a hard time understanding what you were talking about int he last one and then suddenly the crying kid was dead but in a completely different way than normal and it all just got a bit fuzzy for me. I think it was just your most confusing video so far but, i mean we're all here to watch so clearly you're doing great!
I don't understand why people have to be so hateful or how they can even feel cool for belittling or threatening someone for not sharing their opinions about a scary teddy game. Like how do they not see who the loser really is in that scenario?
Please keep making theories. You give the best FNAF information I’ve seen in a long time
I appreciate your theorycrafting approach. Sometimes you have to test the orthodoxy to find the truth.
Are all the Sister Location animatronics just Afton's family? Ballora, Baby, Foxy for Michael, and Freddy for Crying Child?
I could see that but foxy being michael seems random and no reason at all. If there is something, this absolutely has legs, but i feel its lackign that which would give this idea that aha moment
@@wooperman6960 Michael’s infamous Foxy mask? That’s the only parallel I can think of, since Funtime Foxy and Michael act very different. The Crying Child being Funtime Freddy makes sense because of his relationship with Fredbear/Golden Freddy. You could even say that the Bon Bon hand puppet is meant to reference Crying Child’s little Fredbear plush
I should clarify that I don't necessarily mean they are literally the members of Afton's family. Although I guess since Michael got scooped and John's theory with Crying Child maybe they could be. I was thinking more a metaphorical representation.
@@geoff9012 I understood what you meant, perhaps I should have clarified as well.
