Hey everyone! In today's video we talk about FNAF Sister Location and the one thing we all missed from that game. We also talk about how it connects to FNAF Security Breach and The Mimic. I've been working on this video for a while now and am really proud of it. I hope you enjoy :)

I just want to clarify a few things:
- The misconception that Scott was referring to could've been anything. But even if this wasn't it, that doesn't change the theory whatsoever.
- I believe the story of the Mimic parallels Henry building Baby, so I believe he built her for Charlie before she died to William (just like Edwin did for David in the book). Baby does not contain Charlie’s soul, I believe Baby was built to mimic Charlie.

@@Elotistic I don't know about most people but Matpat also was sure Cassi was being lured by something else, with the mimic being a possibility but not certain because before Ruin most characters like the Mimic that are only in the books don't appear in the games. Even in this video the way he talks about the mimic shows he wasn't fully believeing in the actual Mimic being there but just in something corrupted by the Mimic virus.

Once I heard that the Mimic might be mimicking Gregory’s voice when he calls for help I had just had a physical reaction- just started freaking out and gasping because OH MY GOD THAT MADE SO MUCH SENSE-

nothing much makes a 10 hour stream off of "watching" this video without paying any actual attention and pausing for half an hour every half a second...
this is amazing. One of my favorite theories ever. I can't believe I haven't heard anyone mention baby's chip because it was huge and it went nowhere (apparently) and now it makes a lot of sense. I also love the fact that you acknowledge baby talking about another "her" in SL and suddenly changing to a first person in the next game, it always drove me crazy

What's even scarier is that it seems that Mimic *knows* it's mimicking behavior, but he still does what it was designed for, that's why Baby gives a speech about ,,pretending"
It shows that Mimic is just as intelligent (if not more) as humans, but he still does what it was designed for, just like humans eat, sleep etc.
Yes! It is amazing, and it is SUCH a true theory (at least the part about the mimic and ruin being a whole trap, it was a trap, the mimic tricked her)
Ruin has mimic losing his mimic ability so what is up with that? How long has it been since the mimic was created?
@@shaungurian7992Well according to the books the mimic been around for about 40 years with Edwin(Henry) destroying it and recreating it and transferring it over and over again until he gets the right data. It’s the reason why I have a love/hate real with Henry because he has some strangely nefarious actions but is a good person with good intentions and a strong will to protect people. I low key can’t get over him trapping his daughters spirit in a robot prison while she is in a robot prison to then be sold off for $5 to be burned to ashes. I know he did it to free Charlie’s spirit but it seems like it only made the situation worse because, with Josh’s very well explained theory, it made Mimic Charlie essentially the last remnants of her and Mimic Charlie is on demon time so it’s not looking good right now. It doesn’t help that Charlie already had a sad life but now she has an even sadder death because her spirit had been corrupted from the anguish.
Fun fact: In FNaF World, leading up to the release of SL, the last cutscene shows Henry regretting building Baby, before it then murders him. It's been shown Henry built Baby since before we knew what SL was, and everybody ignored it.
That was Scott self-inserting himself, not Henry. In his dialogues he talks about the player ruining his games and his fear of disappointing the fans
We also get a audio recording from Elizabeth in SL that says that “daddy made her just me”.

@@bennybarrios2750That's a seperate part of the game, the sprite sitting at the desk has long been acknowledged to be Henry (pretty sure Game Theory even used to have that as Henry's avatar before the graphic novels picture came out)

I think "the Baby isn't mine" interpretation is genius. It makes perfect sense when the Michael interpretation never quite lined up.
Also, I had completely forgotten about Baby's chip. I don't remember anyone ever talking about that (though it has been a while now, so I may have forgotten), but it seems like such a glaring oversight. This is great.
Not only that. Before the chip got removed Baby's talking about Elizabeth as her, different person but once the Charlie chip is removed, Baby behaves like somebody else, like she's Elizabeth which is true.

@@exallted what if William convinced Henry to make murder robots to investigate the remnant, but it backs fire, killing William's daughter. Then Henry decides not to continue with this "research" since the risks are too high and William kills Charlie as a revenge? lol A daughter for a Daughter
@@exallted In that clip, he does say that he Didn't want to dissapoint people and that his mind isn't right, that he made something terrible. Maybe that could be because he was pressured into doing what William had in mind huh 🤔🤔

Seeing John's videos feel like seeing Matpat's FNAF theories for the first time. I love how different and independent he is in certain parts of his theories. He's doing a amazing job and tbh.... i belive he might be right in many things
At some point, he might have been lost in the sauce, but this video was well thought out rather than him just trying his best to justify his theory going backwards

I quickly saw where you were going with it and I think that's a testament to how legit this theory is. It's really clever that you connected everything back to the card you take from Baby in SL, because it's a detail that got quickly forgotten about in the middle of everything else in that game, but indeed could have massive implications when you stop to consider. And it reminds me of how everyone thought Cassie was going to be Elizabeth from the first image cause she looked blonde, but then she was a brunette, reversing how Baby was initially brunette but her hair turned red, but it's probably my confirmation bias rather than intentional sfdlkjfghflsg

This just goes to prove that the lore of FNAF has gotten so giant and complicated that there can be a voice line explaining a huge important element can be staring us RIGHT IN THE FACE and we won’t connect it back until years later. Amazing job John!
The chip inside of baby is a good point!! I genuinely haven't seen anybody bring up the chip before so this is an interesting theory and I'd like to see more expanded on it for sure
And if you look up the negative color of Green, one of its Meaning is corruption…..which is exactly what the virus is. Adding further more to this.

One thing I really appreciate about this video is that at the end he put a full summary of his take on what happened. He should absolutely start doing this for every video. It's very easy to get lost on the little details as he's explaining things so finishing off with an overview gives us as an audience a much clearer picture of what he's trying to get across. Great job John!

This is mind blowing. This is the first time I’ve felt genuinely shocked by a theory because this honestly seems to work perfectly. I’m guessing the green and purple in that glitched bunny at the end of the ruin trailer is the embodiment of the culmination of the Charlie virus and afton. I can’t wait to see if Matpat could react to this. Amazing job!

Honestly, your theory makes sense. In the Ruins trailer the robots are seen still roaming around, which means they're still after something. The place being a trap also makes sense, since there is no way Gregory should know who Cassie is or how to reach her. Besides, Gregory escaped along with Freddy, but even if he didn't he'd be smart enough to get out by himself. However, I'm still confused about what Gregory's actual purpose was in Security Breach, nothing seems to fit 100%.
Wow. I really think you nailed it with this one. Everything you presented feels really compelling and almost unassailable. (Well, as unassailable as you can get in FNAF anyway). Normally, I find things I can poke holes in when I watch most FNAF theories, which leaves me thinking the theory is only one of many possibilities. But this feels too solid to poke through.
Yeah honestly the "Baby isn't mine" quote is so obvious but it surprises me nobody else has ever made that connection. Like they are literally telling us Baby isn't Afton's yet it flew over everyone's heads.
The Chip we remove from Baby being the stand-in for the mimic virus makes sense. It wasn't just some random circuit board that was scanned but an actual physical chip that we have already seen in the games already that was a loose end before.
It then makes sense why help wanted 2 is going to be set in the SL Bunker... they are wanting to give another means to explain these details in a way that we as an audience could digest.
@@umelgaming3177 I guess for me the thing that prevents me from fulling subscribing to John's theory is the opening cutscene of Sister Location. While Afton doesn't expressly state that he built Baby, he seems to present her to the inspector (?) as his own work. It's possible that this was another Scott retcon, but considering it happens in the same game as the (admittedly compelling) "Baby isn't mine" incident, they are either both still relevant or neither. Also, why would Henry design a Charlie-bot designed to capture children? That seems like an Afton-collecting-remnant thing to do. I'm curious as to what the rest of the community thinks about that, hope you respond. :)
@@BuckyBuchsbaum So if Henry took his grief and anger out on Circus Baby when Charlie died and Baby was damaged as a result. William could have stolen the damaged animatronic and repaired it, in the process of repairing it adding features meant to lure and trap kids as modifications and not building it out-right.
This also falls in-line with what Scott wants... The Fourth Closet explicitly tells us that Baby was meant to be the Adult form of Robot Charlie and that Afton Modified it into what we know now. I am not saying this is a 1:1 but if Scott had a Blueprint for the story and the Books and Games are both following it then similarities are bound to exist between them and that detail is really weird if you just assume William Built Circus Baby because they would just straight up contradict eachother
@@umelgaming3177 Fair point, it is hard to reconcile the fact that the fourth Charlie-bot is just straight up Baby with William being the creator of Baby. It's just hard to switch perceptions of WIlliams connection to Baby despite the fact that the evidence was always there in front of us that Henry built baby. There's also that weird (and presumably non-canon) ending of FNAF World where Baby seems to kill her creator, but I don't think that's really a sequitur. I also wonder how the Eleanor character from the Fazbear Frights stingers fits into this Baby identity crisis. That's something that's been kinda left behind in terms of theorizing. Anyway sorry for dumping blocks of text on you, thanks for your response.
@@umelgaming3177 for the first point, it could be that, but then the immortal and the restless gets explained in the logbook, where mike specifically says that he is Clara, the vampire is fazbears ent and the baby is all of the things faz ent denies, he literally says that and people if it's it, the thing missed in sl is either that or moltenmci being confirmed
The main problem with that part is that we know from Scott and scholastic that the tales books happen in the games timeline, and that's a directly confirmed fact,

Something to note is that what we know as Baby in SL, according to the silver eyes trilogy of books, is actually the ADULT version of Charlie, from the four closets. and Baby in the books uses giant needles to manipulate her size and whatnot (needles that are PRESENT in her in-game model). So yeah, Baby = evil Charlie, Afton stole her from Henry, and all of this also means that Henry WAS the creator of Baby, all the way back since the desk guy from FNAF WORLD!! This theory is mind-blowing.
It fucking fits honestly WILDLY well.
This is good for the lore, and to salvage Baby's reputation too. I've heard people criticize the fact Baby is a very good stand alone villain in SL. But their issue comes in FNAF 6 because of the personality shift. They think the writers did her dirty and scrapped all of her character development. This discovery now fixes that issue, because there is a logical in story way to justify that change.

You have been killing these theories lately. It’s crazy to think how deep Scott and his team made the connections and lore and leave enough but not everything to figure it out. I’m excited to see what all these new editions to the franchise lead to
This actually makes so much sense and is even backed up by the books
An additional piece of information is that Charlie‘s bunny doll could be plushtrap. The sister location map shows 3 distinct houses which could belong to William, Mrs. Afton (if they got a divorce), and Henry. In this case Henry’s house would be the one containing the plushtrap hallway and the 4 side rooms (closets) shown to each contain an animatronic (which could be the Charlie animatronics). Might be something to look into.

I feel like going back and forth between the books and games isn't the smartest thing to do as the general audience doesn't look nearly as deeply into the what's presented to them as Game theory and the most devout fans do.
I'll give him credit for having a complex story that needs fans to work together to piece it all together but we've seen how often it can go off the mark. MatPat for example has been wrong a few times.

I really like his theorys because he's a newer theorist so he's not as held back by the restraints that other theorist have like posting theories that are two controversial or could alter the entire fnaf timline wich is really cool because you get to see a really raw take on it without the theories being dictated by the need to stay relevant so great job!
The crazy thing is that in the song “Join Us For A Bite” one of the lines of Circus baby is “Because somebody purple murder me…”
And the theory is that circus baby is the evil version of Charlie ! And we know that Charlie was killed by William Afton! 🫨🫨🫨😱😱😱😱😱

Ever since the Ruin trailer came out, I've thought the "Gregory" voice is the Mimic. Way too long for Gregory to still be there.
Weird observation: the trailers for both SB and the Ruin DLC make HEAVY use of a music box melody. It matches the vibe and sounds creepy, yes. But maybe this shows a bigger connection between those games and Charlie - we knew her spirit was in the puppet. Puppet’s whole introductory mechanic was a music box. The darker, slower music box from the trailers definitely sounds more evil than the music box that the puppet has in FNAF 2. Like, I dunno… an evil version of a good character?
The music box is Ballora’s theme though isn’t it? I feel like that would imply that there’s more of a connection with her than there is with the puppet.

The whole Two Beloved Daughters Put Into One plot line is actually pretty great. It's the concept bringing of two enemies together through a common tragedy. This series is so dark tho like sooo many dead children.
I always liked finding overlaps between the books and games and couldn't rectify Game Baby being an Afton-made bot, while Book Baby was Henry's daughter.

This theory hits so hard, and honestly, I can usually find a couple things in a theory that I disagree with, but I think this one is absolutely rock solid

I really enjoyed this theory. The fact that we might have overlooked a small detail in Sister Location after all this time shows, at least to me, that Scott put a lot of thought into that game.
Personally I've always felt like Sister Location had more story left to tell. Imo i felt like Sister Location started to really give us an idea of how the story is going forward. Also now that we're getting a VR2 sometime later this year i wonder how much more Lore well get from the new game?
Not trying to pressure Steel Wool or anything but from what it shows it looks like were in for a ride of good mysteries and I'm here for it. Anyway, long story short, I feel like SL is very important and has more to tell in its story.

I do truly think the Mimic is a retcon and Glitchtrap and Burntrap were originally meant to be William, but I also think Charlie was always planned to be part of Security Breach in some way, and this is a very well done interpretation of both Sister Location and Security Breach as it is now. Really nice detective work!
I sometimes wonder if Scott watches these videos and sighs when someone finally gets a detail right.

That one detail about Baby going from referring to Elizabeth as a separate entity in SL to being Elizabeth herself in Pizza Sim is actually such a big detail that I'm kinda shocked none of us noticed until now. I really like the new Game Theory that they released about Ruin being the whole Charlie vs Glitchtrap viruses and now with this theory we have a pretty solid way of getting to that point from a lore perspective.
I cannot explain the feeling of dread and excitement that I felt when I saw this video-it feels like that one game theory video all over again
To add a little to this theory: in Sister Location, Baby (Charlie? Mimic1?) instructs you to put the chip in your Hand Unit. After that, whatever it is can talk to you anywhere. The Hand Unit may have been "infected" by the program then recovered somehow, based on the usage of the same voice in Pizzeria Simulator. In addition, Ennard talks like Baby in the third person but it is technically a new entity, and in addition, it most likely possesses the mimicry properties of Funtime Freddy, explaining why it still has her voice while technically not being her or Elizabeth and thus referring to them in the third person.
The fact that this man somehow predicted the plot of ruin is proof that he's trustworthy

Something that always intrigued me about Baby is that she's the only animatronic that is actually on Aftons side. Elizabeth seems to enjoy being the monster her dad made her, but I think Baby's personality is just the result of Elizabeths soul and Baby's murderous A.I competing for control of the body

My only problem with the theory is that Elizabeth says “didn’t you make her just for me” to her dad. Along with the way Afton’s voice lines talk about building her and the “that’s not the design choices we were concerned about Mr Afton” part I just don’t think Baby was built by Henry.
However something I do find interesting is that Elizabeth / Baby doesn’t refer to herself that way in Sister Location when Michael is the one interacting with her, but when she starts being in the same place as Springtrap she starts saying “I will make you proud Daddy”. There’s something weird about that to me, she doesn’t seem to react to Michael in the same way she does to William even though the rest of the Sister Location animatronics think Michael is William, she doesn’t. It’s just odd.
Baby in its current form is still Afton's creation. You think Henry made a giant claw that springs out of Baby's chest and grabs and stores the closest unsuspecting child for future torture and experimenting?
Instead, Baby has been built using parts of the Mimic from Henry and the mimic1 programme, which has a bunch of data on it that was already on there because of Henry's daughter.

I love the idea of Charlie and William now being given the same form, even if only in a spiritual successor sort of way with Glitchtrap, with the only way of stopping them now being up to Cassidy
I really think that I prefer johns theories over those from Matpat... He's so spot on with all of those, even if it seems a bit 'far fedged' at the beginning. Just look at how this connects half a year later! Good job and keep it up!

I watched matpats newest video and it didn’t really click for me but this just seems right. Im gonna have to go on a watching spree with your videos.

This was a REALLY good theory, like maybe the best ive ever heard. We all forgot about that chip, just assuming it was a lie. And many think that Baby, as the child, would make sense as the one to copycat William. So mimic, the baby and the copycat, would be perfect for her. And you managed to put it all together so cleanly!

Bro it was crazy when I saw the time it’s been since this video was released and my surprise when I realized it was before ruin. That’s crazy how spot on this is and I don’t even want to consider this a theory just because it all fits in with that mysterious missing item the old lore theory had. This makes it all make complete sense now because we all knew actin could not have done this alone. Cool stuff
