    I love that the animatrix explains why the robots are so terrible to humans. They were only mirroring their creator.

      @THECHAOS111 8 лет назад +78

      +Darkblade(The Prophecy) they only rebelled because their creators endowed them with intelligence and then treated them like complete and utter shit.
      They tried on multiple occasions to cooperate with the humans and were met with only violence.
      It was even explained that the machines preferred to form the symbiotic relationship with the humans and turn them into batteries because even after everything they still didn't want to destroy their creators.
      If the humans had just been nice, they probably never would have been turned into batteries.

    • @azazel166
      @azazel166 7 лет назад +19

      Retaliation is the key word here.
      The robots were willing to cooperate with their creators despite all the things they did to them, created advanced machinery for them to use, and even approached them to help them with their financial problems.
      And how the Humans responded to that? By nuking them, and then blotting the sky with nanomachines, effectively destroying the biosphere.
      Using Humans as batteries is the least they could do to them, after what the Humans did.

      NightFury. Because it may be the truth. Top Physicists now agree that we live in a sort of simulation and even prominent thinkers like Elon Musk agree. Think about it, there is even the hot potato subject that no one wants to talk about and that is "reincarnation", the circle of life is sounding more sinister than ever before as the thought of a never ending energy battery source. A loop. We are born,have children then die ,and memories get wiped then sent back to do it all over again. This subject of a battery system world we live in has been hinted in movies, cartoons and even games. One game Mass effect Andromeda, one of the species find out they have been biologically engineered for a specific purpose,what purpose the plot doesn't say but I can guess what when it showed rows and rows of thousands of biologically engineered body's in pods going up for miles that resemble what was shown in the movie matrix. Also this biologically engineered species in this game at one point u find out they have the memory's of their ancestors in their DNA, a male touches some kind of artifact and remembers his past life as a woman of importance to the plot and takes you to the location u need to go. This was even mentioned later on as the need of importance for the said species in the plot to research re-incarnation. This all hints at reincarnation, the so called circle of life and Hidden nature of our world as a energy battery source system. Might I also add that this said species have abilities to discharge electric energy from their body's, at one point the said species in the plot which are called (angara) made a further statement at the human as to how both species are driven by electrical species but except the angarans can use their electrical impulses in defense. This may seem like a harmless statement to be brushed away but if u think about it what the said species in the plot was saying is that the human was not that entirely different from his own species. Let that sink in. More hints I think. Wink wink nod nod

    Perhaps my favorite scene ever. When Morpheus held up that battery back in 99, I cried and died inside. The battery symbolizes everything modern men in America are bought up to be for their corporate masters. School, work, then death - no life.... only servitude followed by quick and ruthless replacement.
    The children, the adults, the endless quiet screams of desperation.....
    Perfection.

      +James Jeffrys I'm sorry, "infinite energy" lol. I'd like to see your MS in Physics, are you sure it's not written on a mcdonalds napkin? 404BYTE is right, humans need energy to grow. Why bother with human batteries? Just use the energy from fusion directly for your purposes. I'm sorry but you're uttering complete nonsense. "MS", more like "BS in physics". This is a glaring plot hole but I still enjoyed the series.

    • @benisprobablyangry239
      @benisprobablyangry239 8 лет назад +6

      James Jeffrys
      lol, you muppet. phxcppdvlazi has already schooled you - if you had a "form of fusion" you'd generate the energy DIRECTLY from the fusion.
      You wouldn't use the fusion to synthesize nutrients to feed to human beings who'll return a tiny fraction of that energy back to you in body heat and use the rest to grow toenails, hair, skin and organs that are of absolutely no use to the machines.
      Indeed, if you're using energy from fusion to grow plants and, for reasons of machine idiocy, you INSIST on getting your heat and electricity from living organisms, you'd harvest the heat and electricity from the plants rather than feeding the plants to human beings.
      Stop masquerading as a physics grad. Any physics grad with two or more brain cells would have immediately recognized the problem here. Clearly that's not you ;)

    • @Sevv9220

      This spans back to the beginning of the Human-Machine war. What probably happened was since the Machines used solar, nuclear and hydrogen fuel to power their civilization before Operation Dark Storm (info from the Animatrix, comics, etc.), it's probable to believe that they kept some things in the reserve. Water is another source of fuel that could have also been exploited. The oceans didn't evaporate. The whole point was that humans were being controlled. In the meantime, they were used for fuel. The Matrix does not, at any point, state that humans are the sole source of fuel for the Machines. That's why it's important to be aware of the information provided by the Animatrix and the other stuff that came out for the series.

    Human beings do make all that energy, but the body needs all that energy to stay alive, also the thermal efficency of the human body is too low to be an effective form of energy generation. The machines could actually . . .uh . . . make real batteries. With all the storms from the ruined sky the machines could build windmills. Without enviornmental concerns the machines could dam every river in the world and use hydroelectric power.

    • @_SG_1
      @_SG_1 8 лет назад +33

      +blindandwatching Actually the humans brains would be used as processing power in form of a large scale cluster. The machines needs it to calculate the matrix and everything else, like simulations.
      The director of the movies didn't find that visually appealing enough and changed it to "battery".

    • @sycodeathman
      @sycodeathman 8 лет назад +24

      +blindandwatching The machines use humans for two things; as cheap processing power immune to EMPs that can control the fusion reactors inside the power plant towers, and as a means of slowly converting the energy released by the fusion reaction into useful power, by using the fusion energy to form molecules that the human body can use as nourishment. We aren't batteries, we're a useful CPU attached to a transformer. The only thing the machines need to supply is hydrogen, everything else is recycled and a part of the energy producing process.

    I think that this part of the matrix movie is a metaphor for when person awakes to the reality of this world. The person who realizes that we humans are the sustenance of some non-human intelligence/force. We go to work and we release our energy daily, and in return we receive nothing, just pieces of paper, or numbers on the computer screen. Then we take this nothing which we earned, and pay to live. Bills were created to force us to go to work. And it's a never-ending cycle of us being hamsters in a wheel until we die releasing our energy. Our energy which we release at work, isn't the only thing which feeds the non-human intelligence, it's also our negative emotions & fear. Check out the quote on the predator from Carlos Castaneda's book "Active Side Of Infinity".

    I remember the first time I saw this movie I was like 5 and thought duracell was an evil company that was turning humans into batteries. I made my mom by only energizer for years and she not understanding why complied. I eventually figured it out though. This was one case where hollywood product placement had the opposite desired effect.

Our only proof that we're not in a Matrix-like situation is the lack of kung-fu-fighting superhuman terrorists/freedom fighters in black leather and latex.

    It's amazing how much this movie reflects the lives most people live in today's world. We are batteries, in the sense that many of us are slaves to corporations and the capitalist system. Most people spend their entire lives serving as "batteries" for the corporations and people in power who are exploiting them every day. Quite sad.

    @halation777 True. Our brain can only perceive the necessary for our survival. However, the reality we are immersed in is what we have. Unless of course we either bend it, or bend our brains, none of which has been successfully performed in the macro levels, as far as I know. My comment referred specifically to the notion that because we are not aware of what we are really made of, then life sucks. I believe we naturally have a bit more of what we can chew and that should be challenging enough.

    Farming us for energy make no sense , would be a nul process or a negative output due to more energy being used to store us and keep us alive while in some sort of stasis , unless they rely on psionic energy and farm this particular energy. What I seem to find more logical would be that we are used as processing unit into some sort of block chain advanced technology.
