Back in my day 1975 we didn't have The Crucible I'll never forget the morning we're getting ready to graduate the buses are their families there we had family day and everything 1 lined up in formation senior instructor staff sergeant Friedrich had to send those formation made us drop and smoked us in our dress uniforms just to f*** with us one last time that's what he said then they put a globe and anchor on us we were Marines
So grateful hearing your experience, I started tearing up. My son and fellow young Marine recruits at Phase 3, first week right now. I as a recruit mom I have a better understanding of The Crucible. I needed this and will be able to relate with my son when he comes home with stories of his bootcamp experience. Thank You!!
Shipping out January 2 2018, super excited but also highly nervous, very motivated and I just can't wait, it's going to be hell but it's going to be worth it
Young Oorah I just wanna say thank you for these videos man. I've been watching them off and on. I am shipping out early on September 25th but currently still haven't passed an IST yet. I'm trying to cut weight (Im 6ft or 6'1" and 223lbs trying to get to 212lbs) and Usually only hitting about 4 pullups , 13:42 1.5mile (with a sauna suit on), and 87 max crunches 2min. Anyways I have been feeling nervous and a little scared about leaving with Recruit training coming up so soon. Any meal/weight loss tips? Anyway to prepare myself better ( I PT mon thru fri already)? Were you nervous after MEPS and getting onto your commercial flight?
Young Oorah yea really proud of him, taking the time I have with him before he ships to school of infantry, to better prepare myself for boot camp physically and mentally
"Reyyyyesssss, I know we're supposed to be providing security" *Points at the dirt* "Aye Aye Sir" *reluctantly sprints to the dirt and proceeds to skull drag for 30 minutes* Ah good times.
@@capn_alpha5766 wow really? Im thinking about joining when i get out of highschool so thats good to know. Any tips you could tell me? or how to prepare for bootcamp?
@@Vividersnake yeah work on pull ups, crunches, and running. If u can do at least 12 pull ups you’re good. Time yourself 2mins and hit 100 crunches. If u can run a 3mile under 25mins you’re good as well.
@@capn_alpha5766 alright thanks for the advice. I can run 3 miles in about 23 minutes. I’ll have to see how much pull-ups and crunches I can do though. So what’s your job in the marines? If you don’t mind me asking. And how many years are you planning on serving?
My man just make sure you dont go in depth with some of the stuff like the crucible... Didn't listen to the video but thats a right of passage, people shouldn't know anything about i
