I am sorry to tell you but this song is from 30 years ago. That is Linda and Vika Bull lead singing for the Black Sorrows. Joe Camilleri started the Black Sorrows and normally sung lead. This was the first song (I believe ) that Linda and Vika sang the lead. And it WAS a HUGE hit down under. I actually saw these guys live at a farm in Western Australia in the early 90s. The reason all these bands you are finding have such a raw and wholesome sound is they were bred on the old Pub Tour. It doesn't really exist anymore. From the 1960's bands in Australia used to do pub runs, playing live at the local pubs (a different one several nights a week). This method of "apprenticeship" produced almost all of the greatest Australian music. Cold Chisel, The Angels, Midnight Oil, INXS, ACDC, HooDoo Gurus , Australian Crawl and Men At Work just to name a few of the main ones off my head. Keep up the reviews man - you are great to watch. Thx.
Yes to all you said. When real music was accessible…. Now it’s us getting excited watching reactions from the States or UK. But it’s all gone never to return. I have 3 adult sons all had music lessons when in primary or secondary school age. As a consequence they listen to 60’s and 70s music with a smattering from then till late 90s cos they understand music when they hear it…
Love seeing you listening to Aussie music for the first time! We forget how great it really is when we grow up listening to all these fantastic singers and songs!
Excellent live!. Went to university in a city north of Melbourne. Bendigo. Around 1987 the Black Sorrows played regularly at a local venue. They were excellent live performers and attracted a regular loyal crowd. All then albums are worth a listen!
This band was headed up by Joe Camilleri, formerly Jo Jo Zep & the Falcons. Joe migrated here from Malta. These girls, Vicka & Linda Bull have an Australian father & Tongan mother & are well known for their vocal abilities. The Black Sorrows were so popular, I do not know why they disbanded, -- These girls are often seen together. Joe Cameilleri also still popular but seems to have gone into retirement. This song in fact is the original band with Joe Camilleri; The Black Sorrows - Also find The Black Sorrows; Chained to the Wheel. --It is a great song, one of their many.
This is one of those songs that as soon as you hear the first beat, no matter where you are - at the supermarket, shopping centres, at the pub, in your car, even at work - your feet start tapping and your shoulders start bumping, just like you did 😉 When she says "whispers"... goosebumps. Vika and Linda are a powerhouse of vocals.
I saw them play live 18 yrs ago at a small venue "the bridgeway " in South Australia.they were fantastic they play large & small venues with the same impact.very professional.this song is possibly about 20 yrs old .great then & still great Joe is an amazing song writer & musician.& Sisters Vika & Linda are amazing singers & songwriters as well, they harmonise so well..& they have an an awesome attitude.
Black Sorrows was one of the best bands that came out of Australia, and Linda and Vika Bull are incredible! One of my favourite bands as a kid. And they played in little towns, and everyone could go and see them for nothing. And, yes, this is typical Australian music from then. SOOOOO freakin good!
The makeup of the Black Sorrows makes them versatile musically, from bluesy rock to rocky country and beyond. Linda Bull and Vicka Bull make it even better with their backing and lead vocals. The sisters have done some solo work, and often sing together as well.
Damn... you're cruising right through my teenage to young adult years over the past couple of months with all these Aussie hits/bands/artists. Loving it! And loving your reactions to our greats. Keep the exploration going. 😍🤩

Joe Camilleri leader of two great bands The Black Sorrows formed in 1983 and Jo Jo Zep &The Falcons Joe sings plays saxophone and guitar he was born in 1948 that makes him one year younger then me he was the third born of ten in Malta family migrated to Australia when he was two the two lovely lady's are Vika Bull and Lind Rose Bull sisters of soul . peace out.

As a consequence they listen to 60’s and 70s music with a smattering from then till late 90s cos they understand music when they hear it…
So lovely to see someone get to experience Vika and Linda for the first time. Nick you are pure joy!
Love seeing you listening to Aussie music for the first time! We forget how great it really is when we grow up listening to all these fantastic singers and songs!
The Black Sorrows are one of the best bands ever. I saw Vika and her sister Linda in concert only last week and they were just as awesome
This was actually the lead singer’s back up singer , one of two sisters vika and Linda Bull who are now a duo and very under rated in Australia.
Excellent live!. Went to university in a city north of Melbourne. Bendigo. Around 1987 the Black Sorrows played regularly at a local venue. They were excellent live performers and attracted a regular loyal crowd. All then albums are worth a listen!
Man Vika and Linda are so young here. I have always loved this song. 😘
Hearing the Bull sisters is always a gift.
I’ve seen Vika and Linda a few times live and even 33! 33yrs later they do not disappoint. They sound the same if not better!
The Bull sisters in Black Sorrows are superb singers.
This is one of those songs that as soon as you hear the first beat, no matter where you are - at the supermarket, shopping centres, at the pub, in your car, even at work - your feet start tapping and your shoulders start bumping, just like you did 😉
When she says "whispers"... goosebumps. Vika and Linda are a powerhouse of vocals.
The sisters are on a show called Rockwiz as back up singers for guests. They sing anything, they’re so talented.
Chained to the wheels and hold on to me are some of my favourite songs of the black sorrows. They are one of my all time favourite Aussie bands 🇦🇺
So glad your listening to our great artists here in Australia, we have great bands and music here
Great reaction Nick. Keep it up. Thanks 😊☺️
Welcome to the Black Sorrows/Joe Joe Zep and the Falcons and the Bull sisters rabbit holes Nick !! Our talent base really is bottomless.... have fun !
Watching the intro and waiting for him to hear that first bit of Vicka & Linda, I’ve been waiting a long time for this.
The black sorrows are a band in itself.. They collaborated with Linda and Vika on this song. This song is a blast from the past.. Love it
Black Sorrows was one of the best bands that came out of Australia, and Linda and Vika Bull are incredible! One of my favourite bands as a kid. And they played in little towns, and everyone could go and see them for nothing. And, yes, this is typical Australian music from then. SOOOOO freakin good!
This channels becoming a reliable source for me to find good music .
There's so much more to explore but our indigenous singers take the cake
The makeup of the Black Sorrows makes them versatile musically, from bluesy rock to rocky country and beyond. Linda Bull and Vicka Bull make it even better with their backing and lead vocals. The sisters have done some solo work, and often sing together as well.
I love this song. The Bull Sisters go off!🎉 Vika and Linda Bull.
These ladies were sooooo much fun. I remember it well.
One of their best songs this and chained to the wheel
you are onto the beautiful Bull sister...voices from heaven
Damn... you're cruising right through my teenage to young adult years over the past couple of months with all these Aussie hits/bands/artists. Loving it! And loving your reactions to our greats. Keep the exploration going. 😍🤩
For sure man it's the supporters who did this ❤
More cowbell.😄 Merry Christmas everyone.🤶🎅💛
Vicka and Linda are the talent behind so many Aussie acts
Vika and Linda Bull. Still touring today. they got there gig here with the Black Sorrows almost 35 years ago.
Was lucky enough to see Vika and Linda last year live and they sound freaking awesome live! The same strong and powerful vocals and it’s like wow, these ladies can belt out a tune! Looove BS 🙌🏻

So glad you found the godfather of Aussie Rock, Joe Camilleri, and the fabulous Bull sisters. Enjoy !
As an Aussie, I've watched you react to Barnes, Farnham, Crowded House et al - but I think this impact was your biggest!! Luv your work, Nick.
Vika & Linda Bull another major back bone of australian music - so powerful. so blessed to have their traditional cultural styles entwined in our aussie styles !!
