THIS is the best song off Orchid - does not get the attention it deserves. The climax of the song has some of the most triumphant riffs I've ever heard, fitting the title perfectly.

The first part was actually meant to be part of Silhouette, if I'm not mistaken. Something went wrong while mixing the record, apparently.
Awesome that you're loving most of Opeth's old tracks. You had a miss with Nectar, but all other songs from that record are absolutely amazing. To Bid You Farewell would be a great next one 🙂
I think it worked out in the songs favor for sure, it wouldn't be nearly the same otherwise imo
First part was supposed to be the continuation of Requeim. However mixing was screwed up.

Most overlooked aspect of Opeth is the drumming amd Mickeal writes the drum parts on an electric kit. Amazing!!
idk if anyone said yet , but the first segment was supposed to be be part of the previous song requiem, but they had some ghetto set up to this album considering Mike was only 19 at the time. But this was how it was released.
For my money, this is their best work, off their best album.

WOW in 08 I went out and bought all of their CDs online after a concert and the first time I heard Orchid I didn't like it and now I hear this, what have I missed.
