I had to listen to this twice (because I wasn't fully paying attention the first time, sorry) because it caught me midway through that this was something special. I can tell this was a project of passion. First off, I love the character concept ; an elf more actively tied to or chained by his past life. 👌 Secondly, wouldn't the first spirit that speaks to him refer to him as his old name Rauden, instead of his new name Aiden? Third, while I love this story if his past; why is there nothing about the life of Aiden? Shouldn't his current life have some impact on him, his feelings, this song? Fourth, the song slays! Well done. You carry the story forward lyrically without resorting to modern trends of repeating stanzas. My only musical quibble is that the on a few points the melody doesn't quite match with the background and we have to wait for the background music to catch up. (But that's my inner music perfectionist talking, so feel free to ignore this minor critique) 9.5/10! This popped up on my feed today and I'm definitely going to listen to your other works. Thank you very much, we really appreciate that you like this song :) The concept of this character is more that because of the trauma in his past he suffered from amnesia and after that he lived a completely other life and didn't remember his old one till this journey. Yeah, probably it would make a bit more sense if he got called Rauden instead of Aidan, but we just retold the story how it happend in our D&D campaign. It made a bit more sense there for us. We would have loved to make this song longer and a bit more about his life as Aidan, but then the song would be more like 10 minutes or more. No one would listen to the whole song then, haha. Because we make this songs with the help AI, sadly we mostly can't change this melody stuff :(
