I’ve gotta say I think the GTI looks way cooler than the R tbh. The red accents and tartan seats look mint
I think the gti looks more fun to drive as well tbh, although hard to say as I haven't driven 1. Golf r is so sedate and capable you have to go breakneck speeds to be at limit

To be fair he hasn’t gone for the top spec wheels, but your right the Gti wheels do look better, they did on the Mk7 with the Santiago wheels and the Brescia’s too.

got a mk7 gti PP good daily/ run about car. with stage 1 remap it will make over 300bhp.
Can't beat it as a daily. Got one myself and love it to bits. May upgrade to a 7.5R though when prices go back to norm

Newer cars don’t do it for me, they just seem cheaper than their previous models and in a way a degrade, I mean that engine cover just did it for me, looks like a 1.0 cover, I mean comin vw, you could have done better on that, I mean how much would it have costed to add some words onto it or colour, nd I agree with u on the lights, just looks tacky and cheap. Same goes for the rear too, I prefer the mk7 nd 7.5 much more in terms of looks, and with a stage 1 it would keep up or be faster than the mk8

I saw a video where you just undo two screws on the centre grill that contains the lightbar and then remove the grill and disconnect the two lightbar connectors... one each end of the grill.
Would it throw any codes?
