Okay who else cried when he kissed his grand daughter and scratched off "kiss the most beautiful girl in the world"? I was expecting it to be a super model or something that got me completely off guard
Lost my father a year ago to cancer and I had wished to bring him to Italy one final time because it was his favorite place on earth. The cancer spread so quickly he passed before I could take him. One day I plan to bring his ashes to Italy and sprinkle them while there. This movie hit home.
You probably already know but fyi you would need permission from the Italian government to do that Correct me if I’m wrong Atleast we had to get permission from Vietnam to bring my grandma back to her home country
Sorry for your loss, before any inconvenience happens: to spread the ashes in Italy you have to get in touch with a State Officer and notify with the written will of the deceased to have his ashes spread in [place that you want the ashes to be in] as per Article 411. After obtaining a clearance from said Officer you may sprinkle the ashes in open sea, dedicated areas in cemeteries, woods that have no monuments whatsoever in them or lakes. Anything different will probably result in a fine or up to two months in jail. Good luck with handling Italian burocracy
@@fishscalecocaine 1: how would I know just by what they wrote 2: if they did that’s why I use “ but” to let them know Just like tails below knew that to spread ashes permission is need. I don’t understand why you need to chime in with your comments. Did it help or add value the conversation?
Matthew (Thomas) is that one quiet friend who brings the snacks or drinks. You never really talk about them much and they tend to be in the background in the group, but is usually the biggest Goat in the group
When a movie can make your emotions run wild when you laugh, cry, get angered, frustrated, and empathetic to the two of them, you know its a fantastic movie. I have enjoyed this movie several times because it is just that good of an experience to watch.
I always wanted to see this movie, but never thought it would hold my attention, even WITH two of the GREATEST actors this side of history. Im glad i was able to watch it like this, cause I only welled up heavy and didnt cry as i KNOW FOR SURE I would have if i watched this movie.
This movie really hit hard.. Thomas is for keeps..He literally finished the bucket list of his boss.. For sure Edward and Carter are happy now in heaven..😇😇
This movie has a special place in my fathers heart. About 15 years ago his brother was diagnosed with lung cancer and had less than a year to live. my father and uncle stayed closed since kids and this news devastated my dad. One day he watched this movie on TV and got him inspired to gift them a trip to western Europe. They traveled to England to see first row sit Manchester FC play, their favorite football team and during thier return back home they decided to stay a couple of days in rome, with primary objective to visit the coliseum. The trip lasted for 10 days during summer. My uncle passed away the following spring.
Would I climb mount everest after witnessing the level of motivation these people had to fulfill their bucket list under the circumstances they lived? I hope to think I would.
You should watch it. I did right after this recap. Lots of missed dialogue and very meaningful moments. Cried a good amount as well. Brings a lot of thought to what we go through in life, as well as how we spend it, and who we touch along the way.
This movie is simply beautiful. The reason why I make a bucket list and love scratching off when I have done one. Like when I rode a horse. That was wild! ❤
When this movie was released on dvd back then my father was taking chemo and I watched it in theaters, so I bought it one day I was watching it my pops came in and joined me. He got such a great laugh when Nicholson said -“Somewhere some lucky bastard is having a heart attack”- and that’s how it became my favorite line.
Apparently there's a Mandela affect linked to this movie. The term bucket list never existed before this movie came out (2007). A lot of people swear that this term had existed for hundred of years but it hasn't.
“In 1993, the phrase showed up in a different context: a National Labor Relations Board report indicating agenda items that must be postponed (getting warmer): “The conferees were told that if comments or questions came up concerning bargainable issues or items that required more information, these matters should be placed in a ‘bucket list’ to indicate that they could not be considered at the conference.””
*Wish I could say the same. I have been ill many times had Meningitis 2 frigging times once after being diagnosed with flu in 1998 which was the worst, 2nd was in 2005, I collapsed in school I was rushed to hospital where it turned out my brain had swollen & was put in a medically induced coma for 3 days turns out I flatlined over the course of those 3 days, I have also been close to death due to my own stupidity twice. They say people appreciate life more when they have been in a life or death situation, I have been in that position no less than 3 times in my life & when I got out of hospital each time I just got on with shlt. Thing that really plsses me off is when people say they saw something like some light or anything. I didn't see a thing, Hell I didn't even know I was clinically dead for 3 minutes until I got released from hospital.*
@@Stuart267 as a fellow sufferer I'm truly sorry to hear that and I am also disappointed that you have learned nothing positive from these experiences. I have had emergency amputations of both my legs below the knee and a kidney transplant as recently as 7 months ago after being on dialysis for 8 years. My living arrangements for 7 out of those 13 years have often been in hospitals and rehab facilities. I can't walk without prosthetic legs and a rollator and I need an electric wheelchair to travel outside my home. I need a personal assistant to take care of me. Has all this been for the better? Physically, obviously not. As a person, h*ll yes!
This kinda reminded me of Groundhog Day because the main guy gives a homeless man the best last day of his life before he dies (For those of you who don’t know ground hog day is a movie about some guy who repeats the same day over and over)
kind of reminds me of ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’ where two terminally ill guys befriend each other and go for last adventure. One of them had never seen sea and they travel, get it different situations and see sea 🌊 wonderful movie, it was released in 1997
Never thought i'd cry over a movie recap, but here i am bawling my eyes out seeing an old man kissing the most beautiful girl in the world. I was not expecting that lol

A moment for thomas guys he fulfilled their last wish and was loyal until the end.
More than that. He was always loyal, even after the end (Edward’s and Carter’s deaths).
Yeah, that's why The Rich guy gave him all of his shares and assets as inheritance to him.
Thomas never switched 🔥
you mean matthew?
Thomas was a real one, he climbed up the snowwy mountains just to complete the list :')
You mean Matthew? 😉
The best part 😭
Loads of people die getting up and down Everest. He's awesome.
Twice for both men
True.
Thomas is the MVP! he fulfilled the last item for them both, so heart warming. I am gonna make my own bucket list!

Every time I watch this movie I end up crying. Two phenomenal actors doing their best.
I think this is the first time that I'd cried while watching a Movie Recaps. I will have to look for this movie to watch. Great job Movie Recaps!!

I showed my husband this movie a few weeks ago. We both cried like little kids when it ended.

KUDOS TO THOMAS
MAN, thank god thomas is a good person not some kind of villain, i love thomas.
Sometimes I watch these recaps all the way through, but after 4 mins of the recap I think I want to watch the movie in it’s entirety.
i think that's the goal of these movie recaps tbh

Loves this movie. It takes on mortality and our final time not with fear... But acceptance.
Emotional movie. Never seen it but this recap gave me the feels.

This is Bucket List and it’s actually an amazing movie. Very wholesome and I watch it every once in a while.
Saw this in cinema when I was 14, loved it then, loved the recap, and both times made me cry. My mates ofc had no idea why I was crying in the cinema
What a beautiful story. Of course I wept at the end. It could not have ended better. Great movie. They must have had fun making it. Two great actors.
This is one if not my favorite movie that came out in 2007 I remember seeing it my friend before she passed away because of cancer.

Lol the end though "Being buried on a mountain is against the law, So Edward is probably really pleased about his resting place"

The title can very much be misinterpreted

I just woke up to finish watching this and now tears are rolling down my cheek

"Your shitting me"
"Nope. The cats beat me to it"

Jack nicolson is one of the best actors out there, literally play anything
Thank you so much for posting this -
