Great video! The quote "There's some things you might want that you never knew you wanted until you tried it" stands out to me - growing up I just used whatever keyboard came with the PC I bought. Later as I started using computers in my day job I started thinking more about what I did and didn't like about certain keyboards. I ended up settling on mechanical keyboards with that haptic feedback you were describing - I use the Keychron Q1 Pro Wireless. The feel of the keys is awesome and I feel like I type better with the brown switches.
As for the size of the keyboards, I never really need the numpad and I like smaller size keyboards that make the desk look cleaner. I never tried the split keyboards. I did attempt Dvorak for fun back in college, but the efficiency of the keystrokes themselves are lost in the time trying to mentally swap back to QWERTY when you're not on your own computer, and that was a headache!
I also use an ergonomic keyboard whenever I have some wrist issues from typing a lot over the years, and then go back after the wrist issues go away.
