- The new factory hot rods of Holley EFI Factory X in the NHRA were in competition at the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals. Theses cars are quickly becoming a fan favorite having OEM body lines, a clutch, and 5 speed Liberty Transmission. They look right. They sound right. They race right. This video showcases the eliminations of the eight car field at the NHRA national event at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Plus you'll hear from the drivers such as Lenny Lottig and Blackbird car owner Geoff Turk.

My Only Hope for Mopar is this Class. 😎
It's great to see the old paint schemes are back.
Love this class!!
Awesome class, awesome owners, teams, and winners! Congratulations Lenny!
NHRA eventually will rule everything out so Chevy can win they've been doing it forever and ever and I'm a Chevy guy but I think it's bullshit
Great coverage sir!!👍🏁
Love the class but typical NHRA. This should have been started back in 2009, not 2024 when the Challenger and Camaro are no longer made.
Who gives a damn
@@mosthatedandroidtunernolim9800 Dodge and Chevy don't, I assure you that. That means no new engine development either. These classes generally require the cars to only be a few years old too. GM doesnt even have a car for pro stock either
NHRA has already started to change the rules in this class. Ford and Mopar will soon be gone. This is why the NHRA is dying a slow death. It is a shame because if they would not have done things like, Ford and Mopar run one type of S/C, Chevy another. Then they put a rev limit on the ohc motor. And other things to slow up Ford and Mopar. When pro stock ran the 351 and 350's it was fun to watch. And even then, the Fords had to carry more weight. This class would have brought me back to the track. Instead, I will continue to go to Ford and Mopar shows only. Coming up on 20 years since I stopped going the NHRA CHEVY SHOW. Why do you think only 8 cars showed up? And only 1 mopar and 2 Ford's.
Thanks for watching. Enjoy the shows you go to.
Waaaaah
@@michaelraddish7898 nice reply, it is just to true. Another national event locally, 1/3 of the track filled.
Chevy guy here, but I agree. It should be a "run what ya brung" and only put limits on cubic inches.
Does anyone else notice that when a car is starting to get too much of a gap for the win they appear to be lifting off the throttle?
Why can’t NHRA make all three manufacturers have the same 2 valves per cylinder, the same amount of boost, same size motor, same size body’s at the same weight. And let them run without screwing around with the RPM’s and destroying the class like they did with pro stock. Do not allow these secret back room rule changes for one car brand and zero reshaping of the body or changing the windshield angle. NHRA messed up pro stock with there Chevy favoritism that drove every or manufacturer out of the class, they screwed up the original factory stock class by making up rules to favor Chevy again and now they’re doing the same thing all over again by adding extra weight to certain brands not named Chevy. If they mess this class up again like the others then I hope they just go out of business and do the other brands a favor. They’ve consistently shown they’re not capable of making fair rules for everyone.
Thays deleting the purpose and because the coyote is bette4 is Chevy and dodges problem
No name driver? Unless you recognize this guy, this piece does not identify this person. I think it’s Lonnie Lotig (sp?), but for the uninformed drag race fan, you ain’t gonna find out watching this!
The guy literally interviewed two times? This isn't an elimination sheet. If you want more information it's not hard to find. The video isn't intended to be an exhaustive informative biographical production. Interesting, by the video you do have more info to start searching with what means you want to. Plus, read a description, his name is in it.
Pro Stock is back!
A lot of people feel that way!
Ford should have to run a pushrod engine.
Defeats the point of the class.
No tf it shouldn't a coyote is a factory engine ur comment was stupid a push rod isn't factory any.ore
It's wierd but I think I have seen this play out once or 6 times before? I love that they went big tire because they cried how hard they were hard to drive and the first car wrecked first pass. Sorry but id been more exited to see 4 more cars in pro stock and 4 more in factory shootout. Splitting classes is for the rich guys who have to gate keep to win something.
Because obviously there afraid to run a small.tiew cause its.to hard
All Chevy final.
This class should be called pro stock. The class called that now should be named modified stock
Some incredible cars
Remember AFX?
@@2-old-Forthischet yes.
Wondering what brand those other Teams coming in will be ? Any info ? 😎
@@mrmoparrr I'd like to see another Dodge but I believe Geoff is referring to the Corvettes on the way. Video from Chicago for reference.

@@MondayMorningRacer love the Channel and its Content. Truly love the Class .
👍🏁🏁👍
Thank you for the video i was there ❤
Looks like good old NHRA has made the rules non favorable to the Fords as usual.
I have to disagree. I think the numbers showcase that matters in the class are rather competitive overall. The #1 qualifier was a Dodge. Alex just got beat because he didn't leave on time and gave Aaron a hole-shot win. The Fords which there was two and only two qualified well into the field and both made a semi-final appearance. A Ford also claimed the second fastest pass for this class of the meet at 198MPH just behind the Dodge posting a 201MPH pass in the #1 qualifying pass effort. In the semi-finals you just had some good close races. I doubt there is any conspiracy here and I'm saying that as a Ford guy. www.dragracecentral.com/DRCStory.asp?ID=400311&Filter=30#indextop
@@tomhamilton9140 right,Ford gets to run a double overhead cam with 4 valves per cylinder engine.Mopar and Chevy run a pushrod V8 with 2 valves per cylinder.NHRA should make Ford run a push rod engine.
Again, that defeats the point of the class. Go ahead and box it in like pro stock though.
@clyde5491 people gotta stop crying the coyote is better that's other manufacturers problem
