  • With diesel issues affecting new car sales, and us all destined to driver around in small engine cars, I decided to get the most basic car and see if we could ever be seen dead in one.
Having now won the Auto Express New Car Award in this category twice, Howard Ritchie explores why this supermini keeps winning awards, alongside finding out why this eco champion is the best car especially for Mum.
There are 10 VW engines, and 14 models making this not just a good car for parents and grandparents but also, for everyone!
This car does come with all the relevant safety features and a DAB radio.. which works, most of the time!
Everything else is exceptionally basic, but as you will see. VW are working hard on quality.

It's not so much the clever editing, tasteful filming, clever music choices, or even the research that makes these HR in a car videos great, it's that thoughtful personal point of view which creates the watch-ability, I could watch these HR in a car reviews as much as I watch top gear on Dave.

Don't be daft. You silly ape. Nice filming. Try and keep your true thing, nothing wrong with what you were doing before mate and also experimenting and so on. As we said POV and Narration is strong look there are tons of ways to do it. In fact those without presenters do better. Nice to see you on cam if that is what you want to do more of. Adds another process to think about thats for sure right :)

It's worth noting VW rarely sells many base Polo's and that the model up - the Match Edition works out mostly the same price on monthly payments. That one comes with Bluetooth, Electric windows all road, Tinted Windows from the B pillars backwards, cruise, parking sensors, better stereo etc etc etc

Your reviews are first class. The problem is, you never pick out any negative points and ALL cars have negative points. You should also compare them with the segment leaders when possible.

    • @HRINACAR
      @HRINACAR  7 лет назад +1

That is not strictly true. Besides the segment leader is the Polo. What negatives could you add about the Polo?

Great video yet again, I have no idea why you have so few subs although I wish I had that many. Quality of content does not seem to get subs for some reason as the editing and presenting is of a very high quality , if I saw this on regular tv and was paying would be very happy

thanks mate - agreed, hold an iPhone - maybe that is the key. RUclips is also broken at the moment, see Pew Dee Pie rants. They are not favouring any new content and its very saturated.

HR in a Car the thing that is a bit frustrating about the unsubscribe thing is it is I can recreate it and explain what users are doing to get this to happen. I emailed RUclips and they did not want to know, it only happens on certain accounts and mine is 1 of them, have tried messaging youtubers with large influence but no one answers.

All good until it comes to reliability. Honest John's recent report on top 10 cars with most fault related complaints received had 6 VAG group cars out of 10, not good!

Thanks Bruv. DAB!!!!!!!!! Keeps loosing signal - kept loosing James O Brien on LBC - but then he says car talk is dull, so....
And the equipment level is very stingy indeed. I was surprised it came with wheels. A button on the steering wheel would be nice. Oh and a turbo in the 1.0.

my vw polo is 6 years old, iv had it over a year now and had no problems with it what so ever apart from the rear brake getting stuck, but thasts normal when not driving it for a week.

Angela from Florida again, you know, the one who's been driving a RAV4 for TWENTY YEARS, or roughly half of my driving life (UGH, so bored... and I LOVE cars and driving). Help me Obi-Wan. Having been turned off the FIATs and Minis by one of our local European mechanics I have turned my attention back to VWs, which incidentally was the first car I test drove a few months ago (a GTI). I had a 1988 Jetta for 10 years before this RAV, made in Germany, so I know enough to buy one that's made in Germany and not Mexico. Unfortunately the U.S. doesn't have the Polo, so if I have a choice between a GTI and a Golf, which one is the better choice? The Golf's dash is a little, shall we say, 70's Buick, but the plaid seats in the GTI, ah hem, haven't changed in 20 years. Seriously VW? You could at least go out on a limb and change it to a Burberry plaid or something, and even that would be a bit of a 90's throwback. I love your videos, the music, the scenery, oh how I long to go back to England!

What do you think of the Subaru Forester? I know, not very exciting, but I seem to be headed in that direction. Didn't like my test drive of the Mazda 3 or 5 and my insurance will skyrocket if I buy a VW.
