Many of the comments remind me of when some say that a band or artist has "sold-out" when their latest release is different from previous works. Wash, rinse, repeat. Wash, rinse, repeat. My goodness, I too would go nuts if I had to play or sing the same material over and over. Doing what pleases you often means the product will be one of quality which will in turn draw followers (even if different ones). Clearly, I appreciated this episode.
Chris, disregard the negative comments. I’ve watched every episode over the years and every video you make is amazing. Maps, route finding, cameras, microphones… it’s all part of your journey. Thank you for the amazing content!
HI CHRIS 👋 THANK YOU FOR ALL THE INFORMATION ! HOPE YOU BOTH ARE SAFE & DOING WELL 🙏 BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 GOD BLESS YOU BOTH & THE PUP ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏 THANK YOU 🙏
“Best camera is the one you have”…. I feel that way about vehicles, axes, knives and other gear! Thanks for this type of video. Interesting, informative and….beautifully shot! Lol
Great to see the direct compares as you talk about them. Nicely done. I can see myself starting to do some of these things since you make it so easy and tempting to try out. Thanks!
Nice, practical video. I’m also very curious about the storytelling aspect of your channel (and others). How do you decide when to turn on the camera? How do you string clips together after the fact since you don’t know beforehand what you will be filming and, thus, may have only the most rudimentary “story” in mind before filming? I’m trying to start taking videos of my own travels, mostly for personal use and memories, and am usually too busy experiencing things to stop and take pictures or video of it.
Appreciate the video! I've been a photographer for years, and recently got into video to challenge myself. Learning about storytelling and RUclips has been quite the learning curve.
love the lumix,,,,I use both the lumix fz1000 ( with a 16 zoom built on lens with a video style zoom in and out just like on a powered video cam,,,,( With a 29 minute recording limit ) ,and a lumix fz 2500 ,,,same 1 inch 20 megapixel built on lens but a 20 zoom lens ( with no recording 4k time limit ). Built on lens, so I don't lose or forget it,,,,,and also a go-pro 10 4-k using abobe pro editing. Good for you! Enjoy the videos.
This was a great video Chris! Thorough explanations and comparisons. And thank you for the links as well! It was enlightening hearing the audio comparison by the creek. I really need to up my audio game.
Chris, when you make a thumbnail for your video you post, what software are you using? I noticed you have a new look on the thumbnail’s before the video starts. Looks great!!
What is the problem with this video ? This episode is a part of adventure as well . Chris is just explaining what kind of gear and usage type he’s using for his videos I don’t see anything wrong with that!! Thanks Chris go ahead keep exploring
I now can understand why video producers shut off the comments... Most people would click on the video and watch part of it if they like it they watch it, if they don't like it they click it off and move on ... but there are people thinking the producers should jump to their wishes. If that's how you feel then start your own video website. Why waste your time commenting on something you can't change? You must think threatening and demanding a person will get your way... that's not real life. Demanding your actions usually backfire... Bullys!
You should definitely consider testing the new DJI 360. It will take a bit more effort to use in post, but you could get amazing new views. For example by mounting it on top of the Jeep with a stick you could get something that looks like a close following drone and still use it to pivot the camera direction towards something interesting as you pass by.
I do a ton of vlogging with my iphone 13 proMax and would love to find a wireless mic that works well at a distance. Please anyone else feel free to chime in. Thanks for another great video Chris
@@mushyduck It amazes me he doesn’t even post to the community tab or upload a short letting everyone know what’s going on. But I also question a lot of his decisions.
Hello Chris, First off, just ignore those that complain about the content… Second, thank you for doing this video, I as well as I’m sure others have been wondering what works and what doesn’t… I’ve never owned any of Peak Designs products as they’ve always seemed overpriced. I do own a RRS (Really Right Stuff) tripod for almost 13 years without incident, although I don’t utilize it nearly as much as yourself… I’ve been thinking about a monopod with an iPhone bracket on top for my local short walks, just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. MeFoto has some nice tripods at various price points… Keep doing what makes you happy. Safe travels
That mount for your go pro on top of your winch is by far one of my favorites on your channel. Keep it up Chris! Actually really appreciated the content included in this upload. Super informative to know what goes into making your vids.
As a Jeeper, overlander, and hobbyist writer/photographer I appreciate the last two videos. Although I would have enjoyed some more Michigan content 😂, but now that Canada is less restrictive I have some spots to check out on my trip around the big Lake.
Really you two? Then leave. No need to announce it. I’ve been following this channel for a while and its the only thing that I am a Patreon for. I think its been a pretty rough year for Chris, and if he needs to take a break and spend some time with family or Shannon, so be it. If you sign up to support someone, its to support what they create, not to dictate what they create.
View count doesn't lie....folks wanna see a jeep wrangler go where vans can't tread. Some will watch anything bur I don't think they'll make things grow. We come by to see places we don't have time to visit. Not to get camera and gpx file lessons. Just my 2 cents. Go watch Itchy Boots. That gal does adventure next level. I'll hang on here but not for camera reviews. 🤟
I agree! Itchy Boots is amazing! And she puts out 2-3 top notch videos per week all while having a 'real' adventure in remote places by motorcycle! Chris? Not so much.
Well I may be one of a few. I loved what you do, and what you DID. Last video I did not need instruction of how to do things (being simple here) with my computer and looking at video in any format. Note: I am 75 and very computer literate. Now, you are showing us your camera equipment. I will not go there on that as I am very schooled on that starting in 1968 in Viet Nam. You were awesome in everything you did. Then a woman from Texas( I am from here), enters your life. You felt it proper and right to purchase a $$$$$ dollar vehicle with her. You seem to be staying close with these instructional videos. No one wants to judge me on this I promise. I have been there and done that got out quickly. Good luck in all you do. Please God Bess this man. Block me if you want, but something is wrong IMHO. One more of these and I will be gone.

It was so cool to meet you & Shannon in person! Park Police Officer at Lake Shawnee. Safe Travels to you guys! 😎👍
As a content creator myself I appreciate these videos!
Thanks for this brief overview. It is good to hear POV about equipment and your audio comparison and discussion was helpful.

Another very informative episode, thx Chris
No exploring again this week ?

Miss your action/ adventure videos bro 😎

We are following Chris every week. Nothing this Saturday. We, my husband and I are getting worried that something happened to Chris.
Chris seems to have made it clear that unless you're giving him money on Patreon, he doesn't care.
That's why I'm perusing the comment section to see if anyone knows. We're worried.

It would be pretty stupid to ignore complaints, because after enough of them there would be no more channel.
Just in nick of time to help us out of boredom. Thank you Chris. CHEERS from Colorado
