Finally an episode to remind me why I subscribed in the first place. No offense against your lady, and I know the Jeep lost an engine, but the solo remote adventures is why we all love this channel. Stay true to what you started with, you can't go wrong with that Chris.
Sailing off of Maine is awesome. We did a 4 day sail out of Camden in 2020 for our 40th wedding anniversary on the 60 foot schooner Mistress. Great time. Safe Travels and God Bless!
Loved the mix of content with Shannon on the boat plus solo exploring, non-linear timeline and just the super relaxing chill vibe all throughout. Immensely enjoyable episode, thank you.
I enjoy your channel when you're traveling in your jeep, but I also love it when Shannon is around! And, as a Mom from way back, I'm happy that you eat more healthfully when Shannon is doing the cooking!
What an excellent video! You have really made a pro out of yourself. I am sure that Shannon has been a big help to you in many ways. I just have to say that I'm loving the channel more and more. Exquisite quality in content and editing. You stay safe and keep up the fabulous work! Glad to see that you were able to give that boot a swift kick.
HI CHRIS 👋 I SEE YOU'RE WALKING A LOT BETTER ! I THOUGHT YOU'RE FISHING 🎣 UNTIL YOU TURNED AROUND 🤔 & YOU WERE GROUNDING YOUR COFFEE BEANS ☕ L.O.L. LOVE THE CAMPSITES WITHOUT THE GNATS & NOSEEUMS . LOOKS LIKE A GORGEOUS AREA . NO MOOSE YET ? BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 THANK YOU 🙏 GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏
Back about 20 years ago after first getting out of the Army, I worked for a company building the new fiber cable TV systems. We built all the systems in Camden, Rockport, Belfast and Bucksport Maine.
Northern Quebec is beautiful as you will see , the small communities are very friendly. You are hitting the gateway to the north of Quebec when you hit Chibougamau , just north of Chibougamau is the Rout De Nord. The black flies are plentiful keep the Thermacell close at hand and screened rooms are very helpful.I found that the Muskol lotion worked well to keep the black flies and mosquitos at bay. At Nemascau you can go Eastmain 1 to Muskeg 1....very remote gravel road-track that leads to James Bay Highway(Billy Diamond highway) north there are lots of primitive camp spots along this highway and some scenic outlooks over some big rivers. On to Radisson , don't forget to stop in at the information center there , say high to Vicky there , very friendly and helpful , ask her about the green 2 door jeep in July that came through, and asked her about fuel stops along the Trans Taiga...she will remember(she was very helpful , making lots of calls to get the info for me). Then on to the Trans Taiga , very very remote. Cheers Wild Bill , overlanding the Arctic water shed of Northern Ontario and Northern Quebec . Never stop exploring.Solid axles=real 4WD!!
The channel kicks ass either way. I’ve learned so much from Chris and the channel over the years. Yeah I agree, solo travel sparks my imagination, but the man is human! Happy to see solo adventures on the side
That’s awesome Chris, great to see you exploring again , I was in Maine recently exploring and camping north main woods , absolutely loved it ; have been watching your videos since 2017 and have a 2015 tacoma set up to overland , it’s a fact your videos have inspired me to this ; and I find it very rewarding, hope you the best in life , things change in life , I appreciate you allowing us to follow yours.
Urban camping TIP #1: You can melt the marshmallow over the stove's flame and then place it between the cracker and chocolate. Just like using a campfire, the heat of the melted marshmallow will melt the chocolate.
Good one, Chris. My family just returned from 2 months in Québec. We love it so much up there, we wouldn't hesitate to move. Explores some backroads in Charlevoix with my Subaru. Huge fun. Looking forward to following your travels in Canada. -Thomas
went all the way to the north shore very cool trip, then a car ferry to anii costi island then on to gaspe..... further north the more desolate and sparce town...but cool trip.... all along coast
As far as moose are concerned - season starts in a few weeks - and its just too hot for them to do anything but bed down in the heart of of the woods. Once it gets cooler they'll start coming out (where we can harvest them).
You really look happy Chris. In a way I haven’t seen you look in quite some time. Yes, home is base camp with Shannon and the Revel. But I think your soul is happiest in Orangey in some remote place editing a video or reheating pizza lol.
Hi Chris! I love your channel, specially when you’re on the road or trail, discovering. Just a little note: when you say Quebec, it should be pronounced Kaybek and not Quwaybek. Keep up you great work!
I subscribed here a while back for these remote, off the grid exploration videos. I hope you can do more of them instead of doing the van life. I understand life changes, but these type videos are just what I like. Thanks.
Speaking as the owner of sailboats (racing) and offroad vehicles (hummers) I can tell you that there's no quicker way to financial ruin than boat ownership. Learn to be an OPBer (other people's boats). Also Camden is a great little town. Get down to Port Clyde and take a Puffin cruise if you want to get a good look at the local wildlife.
Chris, Are you still using GAIA to find rds in Maine & Quebec? I will be going there next year and from my planning Gaia seems to be missing a lot of the logging roads? Whats your tools ?!
As I read through the comments of how Chris has evolved I marvel at those who would post an opinion or negative comment about Chris, his relationship, or the direction of the channel. 1). If you can’t say something nice-why say anything at all? 2). If you think you can do it better-buy a jeep, sell your stuff, ditch your relationships and grab a camera and figure out how to make ends meet. We’d all like to see what that looks like after 5 years of solitude. 3). If you don’t like the content-No one is forcing you to watch. 4). Chris doesn’t read your comments-or if he does-he won’t let you know.
jeez dude, if i’m ever fortunate enough to camp with you imma cook some good food for you! we actually did pass on the highway once in new england. i had a 200 series and we chatted on instagram shortly after… if you need a place to camp in southern nh hit me up, I own a farm to crash on…
Man, I haven't watched this guy in a few years. I see not a damn thing has changed aside from a chick. Little depressing. Hope your son is growing up to be big and strong and that you find whatever it is you're looking for out there.
Two things: drop the introduction and don’t narrate other stuff while driving. You used to not do the introduction and it set your videos apart from so many others. Dirt Sunrise started doing it, too. The viewer gets all the information they need from what you put on the screen. If you need to narrate, pull over and do it.

Wow! Finally some awesome content on this channel again! Incredible videography skill.
Glad to see you back on the road……Safe Travels!!!! Keep Exploring!!! 👍🏾✌🏾

This should be fun! Looking forward to these ones a lot, welcome to Canada!

The good times from remote camp.
Beautiful! Maine and Quebec are just beautiful. I am loving Orangie being back in action.
Adventure is afloat!

Quebec is beautiful and vast. Enjoy it, again and again. I ran into some of that white leiken today in Greenwich National Park in Per Canada.
Bonjour Chris, bienvenue au Canada et bonnes aventures!
So great to see you back on the road. I'm especially glad you're heading into Quebec. I love the Quebecois culture. Enjoy! Don't flip the jeep.
Excellent video
Glad to see you back out adventuring!
Orangey is sorted. Chris is mostly sorted. The remote adventures re-begin.
Hey Chris! You got me worry for a second. When I saw the white lichen, I mentally search where the snow has fallen son soon 😂
Nice uh.. desk!
Great to see you out exploring again! We learned something new from your video this week-- we had never heard of no-see-ums before!
Very nice, great sailing cruise and then exploring in Quebec. Beautiful country up there.

Great! only you can pull of being a full time RUclipsr editing on the toilet and do it with style. Glad to see adventure continue…
Great seeing you out in the woods with Orangie again! Glad your foot is better! Looking forward to seeing the rest of this Canadian adventure!
At first I thought that was snow. Lol

Welcome to Canada! Northern Quebec and Ontario are beautiful, especially going into the Fall season.
Good old days 👍.

Sailing brings back lots of memories. My last duty station was the United States Naval academy at Annapolis Maryland. Where I owned a 32’ sloop.
Glad to see you're back in the jeep and making videos like you used to in the old days! Great video skills and great content!

Great content from Camden to Maine to Canada. The off road looks so peaceful. Thanks Chris
Great video thank you!
Cozy. Must have felt great to get back at it.
That white lichen is on my acres in Aroostook. I have boreal type plants on my land.

Your diet goes down hill when Shannon and you are apart

Did you find out what was banging in the front axle?
you should look into an electric chain saw for some of these trails

Nice spot. Would be cool to see some fishing...?!
It's the M1, the battery life is crazy compared to the old processor's. Day and night difference.
Adventure stats at 4:34
hey ✌🏻are you going to go on the Gaspe Jeep trail.?..if not you are missing a 💎.
Yes, back to adventure afoot, those bugs annoy me just seeing them on screen. Spoiled in the desert SW.
I’m interested in your front seat covers . Do you like them and who makes them . Thanks
Believe they are Bartact seat covers …
@@Mink_24 I think you’re right thanks

Orangie’s exhaust note sounds different?

Fun video i miss extended back country trips. This is like the old days before Shannon.
Chris. It is time for you to ship Orangie overseas and travel Africa, Europe, Greenland or Iceland.
Are you still using the Helen?
I wonder why they don’t replant on those old logger trails
BONJOUR 💙
I'm new to specific overlanding, but an outdoorsman most of my life, from Gatineau QC. Get in touch if you need.

What’s the difference between gnat and no seeums? To me they are the same.
Same thing basically, just different names
1st 😁👍
