@@bok3rnes425 I agree. But I also think both Depp and Manson were both crazy for getting involved with women so much younger than themselves. Wood was 18 and Heard was in her early 20s. These are not emotionally and intellectually mature women. And most people would not expect them to be at those ages. These rich famous guys need to stop being so reckless.
Nah, bro, Manson has been a terrible POS literally since the 90s, it was an open secret in the music industry. It's also why Manson and Trent Reznor had a huge falling out, Trent was disgusted with him. Defending him is just sad.
I've been sucked into a criminal case by overzealous DA and resulting civil cases by circling vultures. If you're looking for justice in court - look elsewhere. Court is a crapshoot and a quagmire. I managed to extract myself with everything in tact - including my sanity. It didn't seem like a "win" at the time; however, 20 years later I've got everything I need including family. The vultures are dead or disintegrating. Living well is the best revenge.

Funny how Wood couldn't act away her narcissistic personality, in interviews about the case. I'm guessing that at the time, she thought Amber Heard would get away with her bulls%&t so she tried her luck, too.
They happened at different times. Also, Marilyn Manson and Johnny Depp have been friends for years so how is that not the coincidence? Johnny Depp has many legal wars where he or his body guards assaulted someone and Johnny Depp settled the majority of those cases. They all sound like toxic people in toxic relationships. You can't say that the men are the innocent ones when they also do questionable things just as much as the women they are with
It's really difficult to win a defamation lawsuit over there. That's part of the reason why JD did his in Virginia and not California, because their laws make it a bit easier.
The comments about settling cases implies some measure of guilt is absolutely not true. There comes a point where it becomes financially crippling. An average lawyer bills $300-$500 an hour. A lawyer of the caliber of Johnny Depp's attorneys are $1,000+ an hour. Add paying the other party's lawyers too, it's just too much. Over 80% of all civil cases are settled out of court. The courts encourage settlement as there is no way the court calendar can handle trying every case. ERW should be in prison for this mess, especially impersonating an FBI agent. I'm glad to see Manson having a well-deserved comeback.
Manson actually DROPPED the case, meaning he admitted defeat. He actually wanted to settle from the beginning but Evan rejected knowing she had more realistic chances of winning the suit, if it all was for the money don't you think she would have just accepted the offer and disappeared? At least I will give he was mature enough to admit that this was just an uphill battle for his money he was never going to win.
@@asdszf withdrawing a case is not admitting defeat. If Manson sued wood to get his career back and he is now touring and dropping albums what purpose does it serve to continue the lawsuit? Don't confuse this lawsuit with criminal charges. This was a defamation and emotional distress lawsuit made by Manson on wood. Wood made public accusations (allegations with no police reports no evidence or lawsuits of her own against Manson) that cost Mason his career. Manson sues to prove woods accusations wrong and in the meantime gets his career back on his own. The point of Mansons lawsuit has now been resolved. In the two years this has been making it through the courts erw has lost primary custody of her son, taken a major hit to her credibility and failed to have criminal charges brought against Manson. It benefits them both to end it now. Manson because he already got what he set out for and wood cause she doesn't want to continue to be sued. Being tied up with someone in court is incredibly draining, time consuming and expensive. @@rachelwalsh6116 The difference is that Depp didn't have something to do at that time. But Manson just started a tour, and he prefers to focus on that than going to trials. Anyway, neither me or you know what the truth is in this case. But my guess is that both Heard and Wood, for reasons that only they really know, wanted to take revenge from their partners. As for Heard, I'm 99% sure that she was lying and that she's a mean person. As for Wood, I understand that she didn't have a healthy relationship with Manson and it was traumatic to her, but I'm not sure if Manson really forced her to do something that she didn't agree to. I'm sure that she got attracted to him and his dark personality, but I guess that she regretted it, and later on, in her mind, thought that he manipulated her against her will. But my guess is that she didn't say "no" when Manson wanted to do whatever she did to her. Whatever, all those celebrities are different people than us. Money and fame make them a different species living in their own world. But my opinion is this: you started dating Marilyn Manson. Wtf did you expect? Manson is rebuilding his career, and is doing great. I think he's ready to put all this bs behind him. But I also think this is a smart move, because the defamation suit isn't going anywhere. And ERW will likely be facing worse legal problems down the line since she impersonated an FBI agent and forged evidence. I imagine Manson plans to go after her with this instead, since winning a defamation case wouldn't actually result in ERW receiving jailtime, and the girl who helped her deserve. Manson doesn't want nor need money from her. And going by the lyrics in his new album, he's out for blood. He wants to absolutely destroy her. and a defamation suit won't cut it. If I was ERW, I'd be lawering the f up.

Indeed. No one in these comments has any idea what the truth of the situation is. I have been on jury duty for a rape case. Her and ERW didn't like the image of being associated with manson so started painting an image of him being a rapist and abuser so that ERW could shed that icky reputation of being his ex, because "why would she date someone gross like him" and she changed the story to be a "survivor" She knew exactly what she was doing, and Manson's too much of a pushover. I mean, if she made claims about him being abusive without being able to provide any evidence to support those claims then that should be a slam dunk for Manson if he files a lawsuit against her.
Defamation lawsuits are insanely expensive and draining, I understand why he gives up when bias judges are a very real thing. I still believe him to have been falsely accused due to the pressure ERW put on victims, the faked FBI document and all that.

At those ages, people are in completely different stages of their life. I did not find those to be satisfying attempts at real romance. But that is just my experience. Fact is, she was very young compared to him. Her claims of feeling as though she was groomed and even abused are not unreasonable to consider. We. Don't. Know. Don't act like you know either of them. I'm unclear. Is Marilyn Manson's real name actually Brian Warner? I mean, I know the attorney said it at least twice in their statements, but still, I'm not sure whether Marilyn Manson's real name is Brian Warner. Maybe if I call the attorney who repeatedly said "Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner," and ask THEM for clarification on whether Marilyn Manson's real name is Brian Warner, that might help? Also, isn't it technically illegal to 'deadname' people nowadays? Someone better contact Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, and tell him to contact his attorney to start proceedings against the other attorney, who is still calling Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, by his alleged real name, Brian Warner. He's very smart and he's always been good at manipulating the press to his advantage
Two sides to every story and every story has multiple directions of interpretation.
They’ve been trying to cancel this guy since the mid 90’s, didn’t work then, won’t work now.
@@dman420420He definitely can not manipulate press, it’s just about always negative and against him. He does a horrible job at using it to his advantage, just go google Marilyn Manson and see all the crap that comes up under news.
And no one believing all his accusers seems to find that to be the least bit suspicious.
Both Evan Rachel Wood and Amber Heard have Twinning manipulative personalities. I stand with Marilyn Manson and Johnny Depp
@Sabundy I believe both MM and JD learn something from it 👍👍👍
Nah, bro, Manson has been a terrible POS literally since the 90s, it was an open secret in the music industry. It's also why Manson and Trent Reznor had a huge falling out, Trent was disgusted with him. Defending him is just sad.
@flingonber his music are great around 90-05 but that's his Dr-ug fueled era. Now he's sober

You told a Wood lie: she wanted the settlement to be confidential, not him. HE didn't want to agree to confidentiality, not her.
I think it's a great thing to evolve and leave toxicity he's married and happy his health is better and he is stepping into a new sonically healing place with his new album I wish him the best and I'm hopeful for his transformation out of toxic times.
Funny how Wood couldn't act away her narcissistic personality, in interviews about the case. I'm guessing that at the time, she thought Amber Heard would get away with her bulls%&t so she tried her luck, too.
ERW was best friends with Amber Heard when both girls were with Manson and Depp. No coincidence.
You can't say that the men are the innocent ones when they also do questionable things just as much as the women they are with
Her face matches her personality.
Boring?
It's really difficult to win a defamation lawsuit over there. That's part of the reason why JD did his in Virginia and not California, because their laws make it a bit easier.
defamation law suits generally do not go anywhere. Sadly neither do rape or abuse cases. Most don't even get reported. Justice for ERW
The judge was also blatantly working against him and was biased.
You can’t go to California for logical thinking you can go anywhere else in the world for that
The comments about settling cases implies some measure of guilt is absolutely not true.
She never set out to prove anything against Manson she just wanted to make public allegations and manipulate other women to file lawsuits while never filing any of her own.
@@darceemorris exactly, and manson was ordered to pay her legal bills because theres no way that broke bich could possibly pay them back. The fact that manson is "pleased" to end this case, just shows that he's done with this bs, and is ready to focus on her career thats currently booming right now. Also, ERW will still be broke after, because all that money is going directly in her lawyers pocket. So i don't know why there are many idiots in these comments celebrating. Nobody won anything here. It was just a messy toxic breakup that got out of control all because of some lunatic woman who lost custody of her son during all this, and a 50 year old shock rocker that never learned to keep his dck out of crazy.
@@asdszf I think that she's getting publicity off of this, which is why she didn't want to settle the case. Case and point, I didn't know who she was until I watched this video, and I bet there's plenty of people like me. All publicity is good publicity when your job hinges on you being in the public eye
@@darceemorris Manson was gonna come back sooner or later, with a lost lawsuit or without. Just look at how all internet drama comes and goes after everyone forgets. We are talking about actually really evil people like Chris Brown and R. Kelly and how they still make money off their fans. About Wood, you may be right, may be wrong, we will never know now.
Being tied up with someone in court is incredibly draining, time consuming and expensive. And when you are dealing with someone who is toxic, unbalanced, and has poured all their energy into trying to ruin your life there comes a point where you just want it all to stop. You just want to live your life and focus on the things that bring you happiness and success. If he had done Any of the crap claimed why did ERW lie about So many things? It's insane actually. She is lucky not to be going to prison for what she did. Anyway, I'm glad to see Manson looking healthy and sober and creating music again.

Whether anything bad went on or not I think he dropped the lawsuit because he realised his new album is doing so well that it doesn't seem to matter what he does, his fans will always love him. So if there was something weird going on then he got away with it.
This is true
If you google Manson now you get news about his new music and tour, links to his old music, hardly anything about these allegations come up. He's managed to put the spotlight back where it belongs, this seems like a good move, to be done with all that nonsense. She has been exposed for they psycho she is and is dealing with the fallout and the loss of custody of her son. May karma keep paying her what she is owed

@@rachelwalsh6116 Because the trial/trials would go on for a long time, and he just wants for this thing to be over and carry on with his career.
@Dreamcatcher9000 if someone lies on you you won't agree to pay there legal fees. Depp literally went though the same thing and he dint drop the case or agree to pay Amber legal fees.
I guess normal Jamie Bell wasn't good enough for you? Too boring? (And yes, I know that she married him later, but she broke up with him first to engage to Manson.)
@Dreamcatcher9000 I know if someone lies on you you don't agree to pay there legal fees

I saw Manson in concert just a couple months ago. He was great, he looked great and I think it built his confidence hearing fans shout I love you.
She should be in jail simply for forging an FBI document. Should also tell you everything you need to know about these accusations. Furthermore, his health is good and his album is getting more recognition than anything he had done in years. Why dwell on this when his fan base is now stronger than it’s been in a long time?

Connor macgregor, Matt gaetz, trump etc have very vocal defenders that are convinced women are framing them. Amber heard is a case where someone was framed so it happens but not in every case
Indeed. No one in these comments has any idea what the truth of the situation is. I have been on jury duty for a rape case. It's incredibly difficult to convict someone of sexual abuse, because it generally is one person's work against another and you don't really have any concrete evidence to go by.

"sticks and stones may break my bones but chains and whips excite me" maybe Rhianna IS confident in her sexuality, or maybe she was pressured and forced to be like that. It's impossible for a woman to choose to embrace their sexuality...
Either ERW decided whips and chains weren't for her... or maybe it was society labeling her as a slut, and to regain her image she had to blame Manson for "forcing" her to do that. Totally impossible for her to be capable of being sexy on her own merits, always has to be a man behind the motives...

Lock ERW up for impersonating a FBI agent
Manson fans are so quick to take his side and label ERW a liar.
None of us will ever know the truth of their relationship and just because you like his music, doesn't mean you should pretend like you know anything about their personal lives. You don't.
She was 18 and he was 37.
I'm in my 30s and I have dated people who were 19-21 years old and in my experience I found it very hard to relate.
NOONE knows what happened in their private lives. Just because you like his music doesn't mean he is innocent. Doesn't mean he is guilty either. It doesn't mean anything. It is irrelevant.
These are human beings. All of you who puff out with your whole chest on behalf of Manson need to chill out. You don't know them. You don't know what happens behind closed doors. Your taking sides because you don't want someone you're a fan of to be flawed. But people are flawed. People do make mistakes.
Maybe she's a liar, maybe she's not. You and I have no idea and likely never will.
This could be the case of the century, if only Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, was willing to go the distance.
Justice for marilyn manson
Justice for rape and abuse victims like Evan Rachel Wood
@irubberyouglueonethousand5384
EVR is a liar, all she wants is to be in the public eye since she hasn't done anything memorable since westworld
@irubberyouglueonethousand5384
I am friends with people who are actual victims of rape and abuse and what she's doing is disgusting
@@irubberyouglueonethousand5384 proof?
@@irubberyouglueonethousand5384everything she said was a lie Marilyn Manson and his personal life has never done those things to any of his previous girlfriends and some of the other women that have been to his house and done things they have to sign waivers for what might be experienced
“Faltering career” yeah sure cuz his new album isn’t on the top 10 right now and his singles did numbers and have millions of streams and views on RUclips. Obviously Marilyn Manson isn’t as popular as he used to he but he still IS popular and still is mainstream. This is such bs.
I'm very surprised by this decision by Manson, now all these normies, who simply have refused to look into both sides of the story will forever think he is guilty. Meaning his career will never really fully recover, sad outcome.
One word… settlements…
They aren't what you think... paying the other party's legal fees isn't even close to an admission of anything, and most of the lawsuits actually got thrown out or dropped. He also had no criminal charges despite being investigated. You can go bankrupt fighting lawsuits in the States, so why pay millions more to your own attorney to fight it when you can pay a few hundred thousand for their lawyer bill and stop the charade. Those women didn't get any money themselves, they just got their lawyer's fees covered.
