finally got it down... huh biggest problem wasnt even the fast part(section 2) it was the sweeping that did it for me. after 2 months I got it down. dont give up guys and keep trying to improve every time you play that solo :)
I'm assuming you guys just don't know how to read rhythmic notation, or sheet music at all? I like Chris' vids mostly because he adds in the sheet music on top of the tabs. As well as him being just an all around cool guy and good teacher. But, the sheet music tells you precisely where each and every note falls in relation to the beat, that you'd provide with a metronome. If you knew how to read the music, then you'd be more self reliant. I only really have to consult what he's doing when there's some sort of weird fingering or picking pattern that I'm going about in an odd way. And, please do realize that if you can't play it in time with a drummer, or a backing track, or a metronome... you're not playing it right.

Don't be a dick to people who don't have your experience, you probably said some pretty dumb stuff as a beginner too. Nobody thinks you're smart or cool when you act like that, they think you're an ass and don't want to talk to you anymore.

Thank you for what you are doing and i can't wait to watch all of your videos. One suggestion, maybe you could also take a minute to tell us what gear and effects you are using for each solo? And I would like to see (if you haven't already done it) a breakdown of your computer setup. Those look like M Audio monitors on the desk and a Fender Mustang 2 or 3 under your desk....
