I think A7x got tired of having people say, "Syn and Zacky are the best guitarists, Matt is the best singer, the rev is the greatest drummer," so they made Johnny kick ass on this album.
Difference between places they play. Small places like this. Bass has to be turned up a bit. Rock A Ram or whatever. The bass is high there too. It all depends on where they are playing.
Soloing? lol.. Go watch Paul Gilbert if you want soloing.. Syn is a melodic player at most.. Writes great riffs but hardly a great solo player.. Cheers..

A7X is the best live band, no doubt! I've seen many great bands live, Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon, but Avenged Sevenfold tears it up! Their stage presence, everything, 5/5 go see them!

1. Did anyone notice what looked like an extra bass drum on the side of Arin's kit? 2. Zacky V's Custom Reissue has a broken pickguard (the part in between the pickups goes to halfway between them, not on the edge of them, look at 3:05, it should usually go higher to right between the D and G strings)
I love hearing rock voices come to life like when Slipknot, Avenged SevenFold, and Three Days Grace play live it makes me wonder who blessed these people with such heavenly voices

I like that this album has a kind of Power Metal feel to it while still sounding distinctively A7X. Good shit regardless what haters may think. Musically, it's still relatively complex and the album has heavier moments and softer moments. We can't listen to Dying Fetus and other bands that are "brutal" for the sake of being "brutal" ALL the time. Sometimes it's cool to just kick back and enjoy some nice thematic metal with good lyricism and musical composition (without getting to the prog level of complexity, of course).
I really think Avenged Sevenfold should do more of this "small" shows, not just big ones on stadiums or arenas, because people will enjoy more, at least me haha.
Yet again, this band is going through a change and people's feelings about them are changing. Not mine, though! A7X lover from day one! foREVer and ever a fan!
