    Love this delightful gentle yet effective stretch session-didn’t sleep well last night, which always aggravates my balance issues. I subbed this for the stretch routine on Day 24 of our January challenge, that one is standing and balance-intensive. I knew this would be safer for me, but still give me a delightful stretch. I love your senior gentle sessions, especially on “bad days” - I can still exercise safely! Thanks for all you do, and your amazing backlist, so much to choose from. Great news, too, at my checkup yesterday, I learned I’ve lost 5 pounds in the last year - thanks to almost-daily Pilates with Rachel, and partial fasting (simply no food after 8:30 pm or so), which you’ve also discussed. Weight loss wasn’t a real concern, but nice to maintain healthy weight at 58!😊❤

    WOW the push and pull along with the hip twist are great additions to the workout. I love mat work. ( 74 yrs old and loving it)

    Thank you so much for these morning exercises. I have needed to strengthen my core for balance, and these are helping greatly. After two months daily, I alternate between standing and floor. I am a swimmer, and this has helped my swimming strength as well. Your gentle, non judgemental, welcoming attitude is a lovely way to begin the day. (in California at 69 1/2 yrs. old). I have sent your link to several of my friends.

    thank you a million times over! I am a dancer from way back, and after years of modern and ballet, my hips are shot all to hell..at 52, I had one total hip replacement, 10 years later, the other hip is heading to needing a replacement. Trying to conserve as long as possible! These exercises bring me back to Graham technique which is fabulous. The breath and the slow movement is really helping with the stiffness.     Thank you again Rachel. I can't stress enough how much more mobile and pain free I am from following your exercises, they are literally life changing. Mobility is one thing you take for granted until you start to lose it that is. Being mobile affects every aspect of daily living and has changed my outlook from feeling like i was in decline to feeling like I can do anything as I used to be able to. A million heartfelt thank yous!

    I’ve been “away” from Pilates for a few months. No real reason why…but I did this routine and it provided excellent stretch. A perfect routine to reintroduce me to Pilates.

    THANKYOU Rachel… Am 82. And YOU are keeping me mobile! The blue tooth speakers in my hearing aids makes me feel you are just talking to me!
    After a time I don’t have to watch the screen as your instructions in my ear are all I need! must remember not to cream my legs before exercise. Caro x

    I have been doing your senior knee pilates for some time. lLooking for an exercise to replacer summer outdoor swimming . Absolutely loved this and the explanation about why the breath is in and out. Never knew before. Loved the intro with views of Brighton. So many weekends camping there when I was young. Now three thousand miles away so brought back memories. Thank you.

    After the Ballet/Pilates workout the other day you told us about Yoga vs. Pilates mats. Today I put an older, thicker foam mat I had under my yoga mat. It was much more comfortable. Today you said we could use a small cushion under our heads. I tried that. I didn’t have neck pain like I had been having. Thank you for these suggestions to make my workout even more enjoyable.     This was a great stretching and strengthening routine. I have gotten sloppy with some moves due to other (younger) instructors being too fast. This workout reminded me to breathe and feel the core.

    Great, as always! I'm doing these 5/6 times a week and am interspersing one with ball & one with band to build more strength. Am feeling a big difference already, after only 2 weeks. I'm hoping to have massively improved my strength and core by the time I get my knee ops (next year, hopefully)

    Yesterday I did a beginners lesson in classic ballet, I started in a balletschool 3 weeks ago. This morning I woke up with lower back pain and this workout made my pain disappear. Really wonderful! Thank you so much for the best pilates video's and instructions ❤❤❤

    I always do your standing series but my feet sore from walking dogs at the shelter . this was a nice change of pace. I will certainly try another mat workout.
