@BionicPianoMan Agreed with Bionic. I do the same exact thing, and it's taken me far. I'm now writing a soundtrack for a video game. I'd say it's better for people to learn this way, since then they don't lose interest in their instruments. When you get lessons, it's usually because your parents make you do it. You then see the instrument as a chore rather than a hobby, thus losing your drive to play it and become better. That's why I consider this way of learning better.
