    Things I noticed:
Initially, the guy flicking at the start of the video with the orange socks and shoes needs to get lower on his flicks. He stays too up right and doesnt slide the ball down the stick far enough. Easy issues to correct.
The exercise with the medicine ball/weighted bag toss. I feel like the issue for most people would be the noise of slamming the ball in a gym being perceived as too loud and aggrevating to other gym users so advising them that they can do the twisting rotations with a medicine ball in a static motion without the chucking part would be just as good and in some cases more advisable as people will want to avoid overloading with too high a weight when first attempting this range of movement but overall a good exercise to train your body for drag flicks.
The dips from a higher surface is a good starting exercise but again I feel like when advising on exercises it's good to give a couple of different examples for different levels of fitness/expertise, not just for differing people but as a good way to help ease profression once people have mastered basics to more advanced. For example with the dips they can move onto flat surface single leg squats with a forward leg extention (and toe tap)
Same goes for the last exercise shown. A good couple of exercises with the side planks with the leg raises another good variant of side planks to show I think is side planks with an under body rotation, bringing your non-supporting hand/arm around and under your body to work the obliques and muscle memory associated with that quick snap rotation of the drag flick.
All in all a positive video with some good points made though, keep up the good work

Thanks for taking time to give such detailed feedback, David! Seriously appreciate that you watched all the way through and came back with helpful pointers 🙂
I agree with your point on the ball tosses not ideal unless you have the right space and gym atmosphere. For instance a commercial versus powerlifting gym.
And the the arm rotation with the side plank is another really good idea I wish I had thought of when I was making the video.
As for Jasper's flicks I'll pass on the tips as well!

@LyndonLemos all good man. End of the day different strokes for different folks and my opinion is just that, only an opinion so take whatever you find may be useful, discard anything you think isn't. Always good to see people proactively putting field hockey content out there for people to get insired by and help from. Drag flicks get done so wrong sometimes it's good to see someone breaking down the progression of movement beforehand. I learnt the hard way. Figuring out what I was doing wrong and adjusting
Yeah for sure, in a powerlifting gym throw stuff around as loud as you want haha
His technique in this video seems almost more like a general flick but with a run up so isnt getting as much power or speed in his drag flick :)

@@iliketurtles3415 Yes! We have some "field" hockey especially in the greater Toronto and Vancouver areas. But it is a very small sport in Canada. There's a reason why I crossed the ocean to play 😅

That's fair. And like I said teaching dragflicking is not in my wheel house. The work in the gym that transfers to flicking is where I have some knowledge to offer. In any case hope you got something out of the video!
