I have the Bitbox Micro which squarely fulfills the same functions so I probably won't get the Assimil8or. Big ups to Dave Rossum though, what an icon.
It's Cockpit 2, an 8 channel mixer or 4 stereo channels. Where you see the blue light, it is doing side chain compression, making the kick signal reduce the volume of other things for a pumping effect.
I’d say a variable bandwidth filter would have been a more useful addition. Most people have a bunch of variable state filters to stick an envelope into if you want that kind of sound. A tiny bit unconvinced by the sound. Thanks for the vid anyway.
Your intro graphic and music already convinced me. Subbed…
Instant deep house track as soon as it started playing!
Amazing! Never thought about using it that way. One more reason to get one!
I've just subscribed...........................can still hear Bach in this!!! Very interesting manipulation of chromaticism, but still Bach based.
that intro jam .. yes^^
so good
Cool, now we can make Detroit techno with Eurorack 😀
It’s all I know how to make!
I like to plug stuff into other stuff. Hey, what powers these individual modules?
The case has rows of Eurorack standard sockets inside.
Any particular effect unit you used for your ident logo music to get the 70's sound or is it various effects coupled with sampled tape noise?
That intro is an actual 1980's VHS video intro to Signals and Systems class video tapes.
@@Digiphex No way! I was impressed with how authentic it sounded....because it is authentic, I see. 😂
Great demo! What's giving it the lofi vibe at 4:30?
Happy Nerding FX Aid, with the downloaded algorithm that is supposed to be like the Zvex Instant Lofi pedal. Sounds almost like it as well.
When are you going to integrate Dave Rossum's Assimil8or ?

How are you achieving your sidechain in this patch. Need me an FX Aid I think!
Endorphin Cockpit.
@@Digiphex ah makes sense. Thanks! Looking at one myself as relying on Ableton still for mine
What's the module on the right side of the fx aid? Love the design.
Ah. Endorphines Cockpit 2 if anyone's wondering.

Does the Knobula only play chords or can eight individual (separately timed) notes be played via Midi?
I played some individual notes at 8:23 in there, yes it does and you can LFO the pitch and get a nice smear like Lone does in Emerald Fantasy Tracks.
@@Digiphex Great, I must have overlooked that part.
nice one....
