Very cool video! I recently purchased my Phantom 3 and love the new video capture possibilities! For the guy who commented about being fined while flying over a cruise ship.......I get it.....but the technology of the Phantom series is solid. The pilot of the drone here was very much in control, and wasn't too close as to not be able to recover or at least divert in the event control would have been compromised. Could something happen? Sure....but anything can happen at anytime, with anything on this planet. I trust the DJI Phantom drones and their GPS enabled stabilization more than any FAA certified pilot. In the case of these Phantom drones, the pilot could let go of the stick and the drone will just hover, can't do that in an airplane being controlled by a pilot. MrGabo124, well done!

What was The distance to the ship. I also heard you mention that your speed on return was 40 miles an hour I thought maximum speed was around 30 that was very impressive video thanks for sharing
Is that Fort Lauderdale ? How were you guys able to fly that close to a the airport? Just thought DJI had a flight limitation in the software to restrict how high you can fly within 5 miles of any major airport. I work close to an airport and want to take a video of our building , but was afraid to because of that part of the software and didnt want my drone coming down in some trees. Other than that great video , and cant wait to see more .
I thought the Phantom 3 could only reach a distance of about 1.2 miles? Also , what kind of setup did you guys have as far as FPV ? Great video by the way. Phantom 3 looks to be just as good as the Inspire.
MrGabo124 Already did , couldnt really see much difference in video quality. Are you using a tablet to control the quads ? Do they both have FPV and telemetry ?

+droneactivities The Phantom 3 Pro/Adv can go about 36mph. If you fly in Att mode you can even get 40pmh. At least thats the fastest I've gone with the Adv and the Pro.
You do realize that you are breaking at least 5 different laws and operating in 2 restrictive air spaces and if the FAA grabs this video the min fine is $5000.00 per instance. Nice footage but not so smart

I know were he is because I live 3 blocks from there and have met him on the beach on 4 different times flying and he gave me his link to this page so i do know who he is. I know he is in port everglades on lauderdale beach flying alone and within 5 miles of Lauderdale Int. because I can read a sectional and know I can not fly here. And last but certainly not least he is flying in a rotor-wing cor-adore that exists at 500ft and below 1000 ft of shore right were he is I know this because I am a helicopter pilot as well as a commercial drone pilot..Look up and read your laws before quoting them because he is not flying in accordance with rec rules ether www.faa.gov/uas/faqs/#fwb so he is not flying under 14 CFR 101 or Part 107 read man the more you talk the dummer you look!!!!

And any of us that live here know were he is and I think he even says it in his video you are fighting the wrong way man you should be trying to keep drones flying because California will be the first to ban them like smoking wile I hate it you guys started the ban.

Open up the Dji app and you will see where the limitations are in the map view. If they were able to fly then that means that it was ok to fly.

The advanced and Profession versions of the Phantom 3 can go just over 3 miles. the standard and 4k versions are about 1 mile.

Cesar Villar with a little tailwind, in ATTI mode, I've had my P3P up to 50 mph several times and nearly 60 mph once. In gps mode my record is 44 mph.
