I don't think it's actually that far off from what could be a reality, considering they were one of the original non-lets player youtubers and most people have basically accepted their track to be the unofficial theme song. Plus, they did actually make some music tracks for another indie game back in 2020 "In Sound Mind", so again, not far from a possibility if he's making tracks *for* games now.

In a sense, releasing it to streaming may be a good idea. This is a bit of a niche movie, so are many theaters going to pick it up? For international fans, releasing on streaming, may also be good, if they don't get a theatrical release in their home country. That way they don't need to wait a long time to see it. The FNAF community is a lot about discussing things together about the newest stuff, so a limited theatrical could really limit the ability for many to see it and participate in the discussion for a possibly long time.

I’m really happy right now honestly. I have not been too excited for things recently, but Seeing the teaser image and the release date and just feeling excited is making me feel the same way I felt while ecstatically waiting for fnaf 2/3 to come out
i thought the teaser image was showing Golden Freddy as that is the only bear animatronic that has a variant where it loses its left ear, unless im wrong. Never seen any normal Freddy variants that has lost its left ear.
Can’t wait! 😍 wish it was coming out a bit sooner, only because Matthew Lillard is coming to my local con in September. Either way i’m psyched to meet him, and of course to see the movie.
i really would not worry too much about it being on peacock because their subscriber base is quite small compared to a lot of the other major streaming services, so the amount of people staying home to watch should not take too many people away from the theatres
Is Peacock a big streaming platform? I've never heard anyone use it, specially outside the U.S.A. So I'm not sure if it's that bad for the box office. Anyway, I'm extremely excited for this movie finally coming out! What seemed like a dream finally comes true. I hope it's released the same day out of the U.S.A.

I personally really like that it’s going to be on Peacock same-day, because I want to enjoy the movie at home versus my local theater and I know it would get spoiled before I would be able to see it if I had to wait for it to be released later to streaming services. Plus, every time I have went to my local theater to see a movie I’m super excited about, someone else in the crowd always ruins the experience, so it has put me off of theaters. Plus, I don’t think they’d make the decision to release it simultaneously if they thought it would hurt their profits.
Dude the picture looks pretty sick ngl it looks so legit although we don’t get to see the font of Freddy he looks pretty faithful to the original like he came straight out of the game and I like how rundown the building looks
So you're telling me. That 3 days- 3 DAYS after my birthday, the movie that I've been waiting for for so long will finally be released? 😮😮😮 John, thank you!!! I know it might seem stupid, but you putting out these little updates are so amazing! And can I just say, your theories are incredible! I have believed so many of Mat's theories, and you just came crashing in and turned my knowledge (or knowledge I thought I had) of FNaF on its head! And that is not a bad thing.
Actually, I think it's good on both fronts. Theaters are not the same as before these days, so with the ability to just sit back at home and watching it there with the added fact that there will be no interruptions and if there is you can pause it anytime is a good thing. Though on the other hand if you prefer watching it in theaters then you can do that too. Problem with streaming is that, like you said, weakens the sales for the movie but also if you want to wait till the movie is out, you have to avoid every spoiler. Not an easy task. Meanwhile at movie theaters, you have to deal with the annoying crowd that won't be silent or if you got to go, you will miss out the good parts of the film. Which is why I prefer, if you are really hooked to a movie, to watch it in theaters instantly, but if you are just curious about it, streaming is a good option too.
I'm hoping that the UK will have 15+ age rating for the film, Deadpool was rated 18+ in the US and 15+ in the UK so hopefully the same will happen with this film.
Waiting for the fnaf movie since it was just a rumor back in 2015 made me an even bigger movie fan than i was when i was 14. I appreciate the fine details they took from the game and that they will make their own. So excited for this movie, I never thought it would be created. I always thought it was a real idea, just never thought I would see the day
I'm glad you brought up the theater topic. We all should be encourged, if we feel comfortable, to attend in person! It will make a big difference in showing our support!
I definitely plan to see the movie in theater. after the rollercoaster of updates for years about this movie potentially happening, maybe not happening, maybe happening, and then definitely happening, I definitely need to experience this in a box office release.
Giving my honest opinion, the people who are really invested in FNAF and have been jumping up and down waiting for this movie are going to be in theaters. I can understand people with small kids or people who can’t access theaters will have the option to watch it on a streaming service. But I really can’t imagine the passion and excitement for the fandom would make them stay home for the movie and not see it on the big screen
so, fun fact if you watch a lot of movie reviews like I used to. if a horror movie comes out in january. there's like a 95% chance it's either not scary, or just a bad movie. this coming out in october, especially late october, really says they have confidence in this.
I just knew they were gonna go into post-production madness for this movie to come out this halloween, they werent gonna save this for next year, and they had to release on halloween, it just made sense
Would be great if we could finally see them perform on stage lol It's been eons now and we never technically see them do a full song and dance or half of one (Not counting security breach as Freddy malfunctions instantly and we don't get to hear any sort of music /singing )
I went and watched all four videos about the movie to get a full picture and hear what everyone had to say! I still can't believe we're actually getting this movie, it feels so unreal to me. Super hyped!
Happy Birthday! (I was just watching one of Tom’s old VODs and he mentioned that you guys have the same birthday and I was like “oh hey, that’s today”)
this community is so much bigger than i thought it was. i run into people at my job who like my fnaf shirts, people online i never thought liked it, it’s wild to me
You know as someone who has been around since the games inception it feels almost unreal that we now have a release date for the movie. I honestly think it was a very smart move bringing out the movie in theatres as well as Peacock. Not being cynical but I really feel this movie wont do as well as people are hoping, the FNAF Craze is long over and i do feel this movie is many years too late to have a major impact. Still though better late then never i guess. Considering the rapidly approaching release date in October we should be seeing trailers for the movie very soon!
Somehow I have never played any of these games, and I wouldn't say I'm a fan of the series, but I love watching all the theory videos you, MatPat, RyeToast, and others have put out over the years. I am weirdly super hyped for this movie! Now I'll just have to talk my partner into going with me or just go see it solo.
Agree with you on the fact they use practical over cgi. You can work on concept and sculpting and rigging while a move is filming but, the back braking work can only start once they get their hands on a wrapped version. Excited for this, though, been a long time coming.
Super excited for this news. I wish I could watch this with friends but unfortunately I am in a rare crowd who had nothing to do with the franchise. either way I will watch it, I just might take their offer to watch it on the streaming platform. I don't need this movie to be good, I just want it to be entertaining and inoffensive. The Mario movie being a very basic yet very fun movie gives me the hope that this can follow the same path.
I wish I knew what will be happening in Europe. I don't think peacock even exists here in Germany. Due to mobility issues, I can't do movie theaters any more, so it would be nice to know if and where it would be streaming here.
So stoked. Can’t wait. I was talking with some coworkers before I stumbled across the news today and I was guessing around Halloween. So I agree, Halloween season made most sense for a release. Also, we do have a Freddy that is missing an ear and I feel this Freddy is a bit yellowed Golden Freddy is missing his left ear.
I just wanted to agree with some people in the comments saying it's good that they're releasing it for streaming as well. I get why box office is important, however it would be a shame for so many people that couldn't go see it if it was only in theaters. A huge chunk of the fan base (myself included) would miss out and this makes certain that won't happen... I have multiple reasons why I wouldn't be able to see it in theaters, one being that I'm hearing impaired and while I can hear, hearing movies in a theater is almost impossible unless the sound quality it really good and I'm the only person in the theater screening room. Second reason is because of Covid, since I have an incredibly weak immune system due to multiple health issues, so I only risk leaving the house if I absolutely have to.. So I'm very glad it's going to be available to stream and I don't think it'll deter most fans that can go to go... since a lot of people love the theater experience and would want to support the movie... it's just nice for people who can't go or that it would be extremely difficult to go.
the 5th grader inside my heart is freakinf tf out lol. me and my lil brothers grew up on fnaf, i remember hustling selling $5 drawings of fnaf characters in school loll. i also remember letting my little brothers watch ihascapquake play it when my mom banned them from watching it. such good memories, im so excited.
I am glad that its coming to streaming, I haven't been to the theater in years since its just an extra expense for less comfort. So finding that out along with everything else is excting
I was genuinely thinking about just getting it digitally on whatever it came out on, but after hearing you say how it's box office is going to be less, AND after thinking about how INCREDIBLE seeing it in theaters would be, I've decided I will sell my left nut to see it in theaters before anything else (whaaaat? no I'm not gonna bring a notebook to write in notes about little details within the movie, what are you talking about? you're craaazy)
I really hope they market international audiences as well because I’m in Portugal and I’ve seen fnaf merch selling here so I’m praying they don’t forget about us, I wanna see this movie in theaters
Ever since I was a teen when the first game was out and I was a hardcore fan I wanted to see this! I promised myself I would go see this damn movie no matter what and it’s finally happening! I’m so excited!!! I haven’t been into the fandom since sister location so looks like I’ve got a lot of LOOORE to catch up on!! I do remember watching Fnaf VR
It's wild to see how far things have come. I'm still in disbelief at how straight out of the game that Freddy looks, especially with the texture. I'm most excited to see the robots in motion. But also a little terrified. My stomach dropped when I realized just how Freddy is compared to Piper and the front door. You can bet I'll be in the theater to see it.
I'm so happy f9r this. I waited for so long and I was OBSESSED as a kid. now I'm about to be 18 the MONTH before it comes out so I'll be able to watch it!!!

I get so excited when i hear about other adults that are still really into fnaf, especially because I think this movie isn't targeted to kids. If i can i will watch it multiple times on theaters I've been waiting too long for this movie😭

Back with some great FNAF news, keep up the good work on the videos!
IM LITERALLY IN TEARS OH MY GOD IVE WAITED MY WHOLE LIFE FOR THIS
As someone who’s still trying to be covid-safe bc of living with someone who is immunocompromised I do really appreciate the streaming release
@@FiremanSamBoy2008most likely will be 15. John wick 4 was also 15
It's just that peacock isn't working in some countries
@@FiremanSamBoy2008 apparently according to someone working on the film they arent pulling any stops on the violence and gore so im doubting a 15+
@@TimeMasterOG Have you seen Deadpool? That has violence and gore and it got rated 15+ here in the UK, the same could happen with the FNAF movie.
It will make a big difference in showing our support!

congrats to the dude who’s birthday is the same day it comes out lol
I can’t believe it’s finally happening!🎉
Same🎉🎉 I've been seeing so many rumors of the FNAF movie but now we have official news that it's fr coming and the release date and I'm so hyped!!!!!
I definitely plan to see the movie in theater. after the rollercoaster of updates for years about this movie potentially happening, maybe not happening, maybe happening, and then definitely happening, I definitely need to experience this in a box office release.
3:50 frebby
The new Feddy
I can't believe that I was able to live long enough that this movie will come out this year. That's insane!
I promise you the theaters is gonna be so freaking crowded when this movie comes out
so, fun fact if you watch a lot of movie reviews like I used to. if a horror movie comes out in january. there's like a 95% chance it's either not scary, or just a bad movie. this coming out in october, especially late october, really says they have confidence in this.
I just knew they were gonna go into post-production madness for this movie to come out this halloween, they werent gonna save this for next year, and they had to release on halloween, it just made sense
Would be great if we could finally see them perform on stage lol
It's been eons now and we never technically see them do a full song and dance or half of one
(Not counting security breach as Freddy malfunctions instantly and we don't get to hear any sort of music /singing )
Yoooo! So excited for this movie!
i loveyour theorys and videos keep up the great work and updats cant wait to see your channel grow!!
0:59 a day before my birthday!!! Best birthday gift I could recieve
Everyone has been waiting for this forever
Hopefully it doesn’t suck
Omg this is amazing! It looks really good and I genuinely can’t wait! I hope you discuss it with people on the livestream on Friday 💜
Happy birthday 🎁. Btw love the videos keep it up
So stoked. Can’t wait.
I was talking with some coworkers before I stumbled across the news today and I was guessing around Halloween. So I agree, Halloween season made most sense for a release.
Also, we do have a Freddy that is missing an ear and I feel this Freddy is a bit yellowed
Golden Freddy is missing his left ear.
BRO THIS MOVIE IS COMING OUT ON MY BIRTHDAY WTF?????🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
🎊CONGRATULATIONS HAPPY BIRTHDAY
@@blitzwingprime fellow Prime spotted💪🗿
Hey John thanks for everything you've done so much I trust you with fnaf content.
of course im gonna see it! i bought the tickets like 6 years ago
The creature shop picture gives a preview of spring lock suits. They even kinda look like the suits in the silver eyes graphic novel.
the 5th grader inside my heart is freakinf tf out lol. me and my lil brothers grew up on fnaf, i remember hustling selling $5 drawings of fnaf characters in school loll. i also remember letting my little brothers watch ihascapquake play it when my mom banned them from watching it. such good memories, im so excited.
I am glad that its coming to streaming, I haven't been to the theater in years since its just an extra expense for less comfort. So finding that out along with everything else is excting
I was genuinely thinking about just getting it digitally on whatever it came out on, but after hearing you say how it's box office is going to be less, AND after thinking about how INCREDIBLE seeing it in theaters would be, I've decided I will sell my left nut to see it in theaters before anything else
(whaaaat? no I'm not gonna bring a notebook to write in notes about little details within the movie, what are you talking about? you're craaazy)
3:48 "frebby fazbear" lol but excited for the movie and thanks for the new video!
Ooooooh, very nice~ Definitely will go watch it. Cast looks awesome.
Dude I actually forgot you did news stuff lol. Nice video
I’ve been a huge fnaf fan for years so I can’t wait for this it’s gonna be awesome
I really hope they market international audiences as well because I’m in Portugal and I’ve seen fnaf merch selling here so I’m praying they don’t forget about us, I wanna see this movie in theaters
I am so excited for this!
dude.. i remember watching your channel when you only had 7k subs congrats on the success
I am so hype! And I’m so happy it’s coming out so close to the nine year anniversary🥰
i'm actually really excited to watch this! fingers crossed, hope it's good
Ever since I was a teen when the first game was out and I was a hardcore fan I wanted to see this!
I never been this hyped, since the 4th grade. I'm so happy that the movie is finally here. Let's goo!!! 🔥🔥
I really like how you found and use a catchy catch phrase with "need more proof". Good use of marketing.
I’m so excited for this. FNAF came out when I was 16 and I’m happy they are doing it on streaming so I can watch it at home since I have kids now.
I'm so happy f9r this. I waited for so long and I was OBSESSED as a kid. now I'm about to be 18 the MONTH before it comes out so I'll be able to watch it!!!
Let's just take a little moment to appreciate Jason's reference to FNAF 4 with "205 days until the party"
Finally, something good coming from louisiana. What was the last one? Shaq?
I planned to watch this movie with my brother, and he just told me friends of his are planning to see it too! I get so excited when i hear about other adults that are still really into fnaf, especially because I think this movie isn't targeted to kids. If i can i will watch it multiple times on theaters I've been waiting too long for this movie😭
I introduced my mom to FNAF and it became our thing and i told her about the upcoming movie and I'm planning we are gonna watch it togheter
Kinda grateful it's going to streaming as well as it gives me an option if the flashing lights are too severe for me to watch in theaters.
I already have peacock, but with the amount of time I've spent following the series and watching MatPat gradually lose his sanity during his theory videos you better believe I'm going to theaters to see it.
