I came here to say this as well. I'm 34, my son is almost 5, and we both burst and SCREAMED with joyful tears. My son loves FNAF, but I'm definitely the bigger FNAF nerd, and the emotion that was felt during this video was my honest same reaction. I've been waiting for this since I played the Night 1 demo all those years ago. I'm even having a full FNAF tattoo sleeve done starting in July with Mangle, Nightmarionne, and Golden Freddy, complete with It's Me and the Out of Order Foxy sign. I'm BEYOND ready for this.

I would like to point something out from the teaser trailer. At 1:48 when Freddy and his friends are performing on stage the song that plays is called "Talking In Your Sleep" by The Romantics. The reason why I point this out is because this song was released on the 14th of February 1983. Let me repeat, this song that was used in the Five Nights at Freddys movie teaser trailer was released in 1983. I'll let you chew on that information.
I think the “suspenders” is a guitar strap, which is honestly is a great detail to include since most professional guitarists use them so the guitars full weight isn’t solely on their arms

I am so glad that Blumhouse Prod. is using physical props for the animatronics instead of CGI. That's something I wish more movies in this era of filmmaking would do.

I think it was a blessing in disguise that this movie took so long to come out. If they had released it way earlier, the story likely wouldn’t be as cohesive. Now with so much material to work with, the movies can include much more lore and details that wouldn’t have existed 7+ years ago.
I was going to watch the movie no matter what, even if it turned out complete bollocks. But the *second* I heard that Henson's creature shop was on it, I knew we had something special. I am a total Henson fangirl (less for the Muppets, though they are fun, more for the Dark Crystal and the Storryteller) and seeing two of my nerd obsessions collide and collaborate like this is just blowing my mind.
This is why John has quickly become my favourite FNAF theorist and FNAF RUclipsr. The amount of genuine love and passion he exudes for this franchise is phenomenal and contagious.
I'm so excited for this. I know some people are complaining about minute details like the red eyes but personally, I almost think it makes it feel more of the 80s. This feels like something I would've watched with my mom when I was little on halloween and I love that it already feels that way.
its not exactly the red eyes its the expressive eyebrows and how the red eyes look. Red dots are still like red eyes but dont look as tacky and the eyebrows make the animatronics look less unnerving
@@fried_fries the fnaf trailer wasnt the game though, it was only promotional material. And the ar game doesnt seem to give the animatronics posable eyebrows. Unless you mean the red eyes but in that case the trailer is not the game and the ar game would have trouble with lighting for the eyes. It was easier to do the red eyes since it shows up easier on screen and there doesnt need to be specific lighting for them. Also its a different kind of eyes for both. They dont look like the movie eyes at all
I love the bit where John just stared yelling out things you see on screen, it was just so sweet how moved he was by this 😊 And the movie looks phenomenal, even after seeing the teaser image I didn't realize just how good it would look in motion
I noticed some interesting cinematography here at 2:12. We see Mike in the forest with the dead kids, then they run away. We quickly cut to William clenching his hands together with a menacing smirk, then we immediately cut BACK to the forest with Mike now on the ground, bleeding out, and looking up. This makes it seem like symbolism, where William clenches his hands and figuratively makes Mike bleed out as he looks up like he's looking up at some god. This might be overthinking, but the way its put together makes it seem like symbolism that William has control over Mike's life with the wave of his hand, and Mike can only look up at him. I didn't explain it well but I hope someone gets what I mean.
Watching John start crying was such a touching moment and was an amazing reminder of why I love this fandom. Genuinely such a wholesome video and got me so hyped! I actually hadn’t seen the trailer before this video, I just had to wait until John made a video about it.
As amazing as Freddy and the gang look and the whole setting takes us into the games, the bit that got me stupidly excited was the split second of seeing Matthew Lillard behind the desk as Afton. I’m so hyped to see him bring such a now iconic gaming villain to life. Eeeee!
I can't believe how accurate the animatronics look! I also like to think scott incorporated everything he learned from making all the games into the movie. The scene with the Freddy head and blades felt very sister location to me!

Everyone growing up with FNAF and to finally be able to see it COME TO LIFE is truly remarkable. The animatronics look amazing and their textures having an almost “fabric” look to them is just chefs kiss! This was the most genuine reaction and honestly got me a little emotional as well. Keep it up John you’re the best!😭
Does anyone else notice at 8:21 that there are FIVE kids, brown for Freddy, blue for Bonnie, yellow for Chica, and orange for Foxy, but there's ONE kid in the background that is initially obscured by Josh Hutcherson, which is a parallel to the gravestones at the end of FNAF 6, with the one gravestone in the corner being obscured, AND the kid is wearing a more lighter yellow, which is sort of similar to the old Golden Freddy and Spring Bonnie designs, AND the kid is wearing a white TOP HAT which is iconic to the Freddy variations, MEANING that the kid could either be Crying Child or Cassidy.
I think white hat is Freddy while the front kid is meant to be Cassidy with the striped shirt, you know, like the striped kids in the minigames. Freddy is more known for top hat and is the easiest way to make him identifiable. I mean it could be the other way around but if it was to mirror the obscured tombstones why would chica be at the end and not Cassidy? I dunno I think white top hat is Freddy though and striped shirt next to foxy kid is Cassidy since they’re also stood in front suggesting they’re in charge of the others
My only gripe so far is the RED EYES. They're supposed to possessed/haunted, so the red eyes make it seem like they're programmed to attack. If anything, they should be glowing white like Freddy when you run out of power.
I have the same issue, however, there's a scene where the eyes are orange instead of red. They glow orange at 3:46. Idk if that's just the eyes starting up and will eventually turn red. But that's something to note I think, so I think the red eyes might be on purpose to distinguish who is controlling the animatronics.
I agree, but I think the movie might be trying to be a bit self-aware, making just a silly nonsensical ominous murder robot, like an old movie not putting any thought into the plot. Which, if intentional, I could appreciate. But if they do mean to portray the animatronics as they truly are, children trapped in the robots, then it would be disappointing.
I hope the movie does well and it reaches some mainstream appeal. Would love to see more interest in this franchise, more merch, more games, sequels and so on. I already know I’m going to enjoy this even if it’s bad, I just hope they make it really good for the rest of the audiences

Like, if you actually watch a trailer and the scene with the five children, they're supposed to be the missing children, but there's only 1 girl and 4 boys. But in canon there is two girls. Cassidy and Susie and then three boys, Fritz, Jeremy, and Gabriel so they change a few things for the movie, and many of the camon fnaf we know, will be change for the film, and many hardcore fnaf fans will either love or hate the movie.
I really hope they add some cool easter eggs for the die hard fans, something like Midnight Motorist as a game would literally earn a standing ovation Also - expanding on the weird bit with the open face and stuff, what if that is a nightmare that Michael is having (if michael afton is still canonically mike schmit) about the bite?
I WISH, but at the same time, I'm not sure if they will do such a big confirmation in a movie. But a son trying to undo the bad things his father has done and redeem himself after killing his brother by accident? That's a good story imo lol
Man, there are times where John drives me up the wall with his more out there theorys, but it felt so good seeing him tear up after the trailer, that is true passion amd love for this franchise and its so damn wholesome to see!
honestly seeing your reaction to this trailer was so validating. you’re clearly experiencing so much pure joy and excitement from this because you’re so passionate about fnaf. i react to things i like like this (i SCREAMED when i saw darkwing duck in the chip and dale movie, and i was having to put the new percy jackson book down because i was getting too overwhelmed). and it honestly makes me embarrassed that i act like that at my grown age of 18. seeing a grown man experience this much pure joy over something “childish” like a video game is so validating and i wish you the best fnaf movie experience you can possibly have.
I shed a tear when I saw the trailer. This series has been a HUGE part of my life and has allowed me to be more creative as a whole. I love movies and to see my favorite series come to my favorite medium of entertainment is just insane props to blumhouse for this.
Rewatching this again and crying with John. The amount of love I have for the games and story, I cried before I even had watched the trailer as this series has meant so much for me! Gotta say I love the one scene with the animatronic opening its face and revealing red eyes and pointy things coming out. Sort of reminds me of the funtime freddy animatronic with the face plates opening on the sides and the reference to the fnaf book story "count the ways."
Like someone said they don’t like the red eyes showing they are in attack mode BUT I LITERALLT SAY NO LET THEM BE RED!!!!!! We have to remember children during this time probably wouldn’t immediately jump to haunted but possessed or taken control of of course making the eyes red makes sense. IM SO EXCITED
I really appreciate the addition of the game details like the poster, cup, etc. Those design elements are sooo necessary in a setting like this. The animatronics' red eyes are corny, but I get it, it's easy visual shorthand for spOo0oky for an unfamiliar audience - I will always love the wide, dead servo eyes the best! I don't know what the saw trap is about, though.

I don't do scary. Scary movies. Scary games. None of it. BUT, the story that is the lore of these games keeps bringing me back. I don't play them but I've watched them be played. I would never choose to watch a scary movie in theaters. But I now really want to watch this.
Same for me. But they are going to release it on streaming the same day as it comes out in theaters I think. So I might watch it at home with the lights on.

I think my only real nitpick, is a few design choices that feel… unpolished or like they could’ve chosen something better. And those are the glowing red eyes and the endoskeleton leg. I understand that they might’ve gone with the glowing eyes for the sake of being able to see them in low light scenes, but it feels a bit tacky and is not as frightening as the og black with white spots. And the endoskeleton leg feels a little too fake. Like it’s made of styrofoam or cardboard and spray painted. But other than that, this trailer is phenomenal. It feels surreal to actually have a fnaf movie after so long
Yeah, the thing that bother me the most are the legs, they are supposed to be heavy and feel heavy, but the footsetp is just ..... really like plastic. It couldn't even step completely on the plastic ball.
The reason the leg looks fake is that it isn't moving with the correct amount of weight to it, like you'd expect from a solid metal piece. Sometimes this can be fixed with good sound design but we'll have to wait and see :)
I don't really like the red eyes either, but in the books Freddy had glowing red eyes to distinguish his entrance into a room from the other characters, lighting up the whole room in red, this bulky, slow, ominous figure staring you down with bright red eyes. It worked in the books, so we'll see how it goes in the movie

This might be overthinking, but the way its put together makes it seem like symbolism that William has control over Mike's life with the wave of his hand, and Mike can only look up at him. I didn't explain it well but I hope someone gets what I mean.

Watching John start crying was such a touching moment and was an amazing reminder of why I love this fandom. Genuinely such a wholesome video and got me so hyped! I actually hadn’t seen the trailer before this video, I just had to wait until John made a video about it.

As amazing as Freddy and the gang look and the whole setting takes us into the games, the bit that got me stupidly excited was the split second of seeing Matthew Lillard behind the desk as Afton. I’m so hyped to see him bring such a now iconic gaming villain to life. Eeeee!
I can't believe how accurate the animatronics look! I also like to think scott incorporated everything he learned from making all the games into the movie. The scene with the Freddy head and blades felt very sister location to me!

Everyone growing up with FNAF and to finally be able to see it COME TO LIFE is truly remarkable. The animatronics look amazing and their textures having an almost “fabric” look to them is just chefs kiss!

Does anyone else notice at 8:21 that there are FIVE kids, brown for Freddy, blue for Bonnie, yellow for Chica, and orange for Foxy, but there's ONE kid in the background that is initially obscured by Josh Hutcherson, which is a parallel to the gravestones at the end of FNAF 6, with the one gravestone in the corner being obscured, AND the kid is wearing a more lighter yellow, which is sort of similar to the old Golden Freddy and Spring Bonnie designs, AND the kid is wearing a white TOP HAT which is iconic to the Freddy variations, MEANING that the kid could either be Crying Child or Cassidy.
I think white hat is Freddy while the front kid is meant to be Cassidy with the striped shirt, you know, like the striped kids in the minigames.
Freddy is more known for top hat and is the easiest way to make him identifiable.
I mean it could be the other way around but if it was to mirror the obscured tombstones why would chica be at the end and not Cassidy? I dunno I think white top hat is Freddy though and striped shirt next to foxy kid is Cassidy since they’re also stood in front suggesting they’re in charge of the others

My only gripe so far is the RED EYES. They're supposed to possessed/haunted, so the red eyes make it seem like they're programmed to attack. If anything, they should be glowing white like Freddy when you run out of power.

I have the same issue, however, there's a scene where the eyes are orange instead of red. They glow orange at 3:46. Idk if that's just the eyes starting up and will eventually turn red. But that's something to note I think, so I think the red eyes might be on purpose to distinguish who is controlling the animatronics.
Feels like a deliberate choice, especially with the posters displaying the eyes front and center. Not sure why, but it seems to be intentional
I agree, but I think the movie might be trying to be a bit self-aware, making just a silly nonsensical ominous murder robot, like an old movie not putting any thought into the plot. Which, if intentional, I could appreciate. But if they do mean to portray the animatronics as they truly are, children trapped in the robots, then it would be disappointing.

I was 13 when the game got released, now I’m 22 and still so excited for the movie. Literally everything in the trailer looks incredible.

Like, if you actually watch a trailer and the scene with the five children, they're supposed to be the missing children, but there's only 1 girl and 4 boys. But in canon there is two girls. Cassidy and Susie and then three boys, Fritz, Jeremy, and Gabriel so they change a few things for the movie, and many of the camon fnaf we know, will be change for the film, and many hardcore fnaf fans will either love or hate the movie.
It does look so much more incredible than I ever expected it to look. The spinning blades of death felt like a choice but I’m so gosh darn excited

Man, there are times where John drives me up the wall with his more out there theorys, but it felt so good seeing him tear up after the trailer, that is true passion amd love for this franchise and its so damn wholesome to see!
honestly seeing your reaction to this trailer was so validating. you’re clearly experiencing so much pure joy and excitement from this because you’re so passionate about fnaf. i react to things i like like this (i SCREAMED when i saw darkwing duck in the chip and dale movie, and i was having to put the new percy jackson book down because i was getting too overwhelmed). and it honestly makes me embarrassed that i act like that at my grown age of 18. seeing a grown man experience this much pure joy over something “childish” like a video game is so validating and i wish you the best fnaf movie experience you can possibly have.
I shed a tear when I saw the trailer. This series has been a HUGE part of my life and has allowed me to be more creative as a whole. I love movies and to see my favorite series come to my favorite medium of entertainment is just insane props to blumhouse for this.

Gotta say I love the one scene with the animatronic opening its face and revealing red eyes and pointy things coming out. Sort of reminds me of the funtime freddy animatronic with the face plates opening on the sides and the reference to the fnaf book story "count the ways."

I really appreciate the addition of the game details like the poster, cup, etc. Those design elements are sooo necessary in a setting like this. The animatronics' red eyes are corny, but I get it, it's easy visual shorthand for spOo0oky for an unfamiliar audience - I will always love the wide, dead servo eyes the best! I don't know what the saw trap is about, though.

BUT, the story that is the lore of these games keeps bringing me back. I don't play them but I've watched them be played. I would never choose to watch a scary movie in theaters. But I now really want to watch this.

Out of all the reactions yours was actually the most satisfying because you unleased your inner geek out everyone else is either faking it or they're restraining themselves you actually geeked out this is the most relatable reaction on RUclips I've ever scene you actually get me the 1st reaction to actually get mind down to a t I send my to your channel
I think my only real nitpick, is a few design choices that feel… unpolished or like they could’ve chosen something better. And those are the glowing red eyes and the endoskeleton leg. I understand that they might’ve gone with the glowing eyes for the sake of being able to see them in low light scenes, but it feels a bit tacky and is not as frightening as the og black with white spots. And the endoskeleton leg feels a little too fake. Like it’s made of styrofoam or cardboard and spray painted.
But other than that, this trailer is phenomenal. It feels surreal to actually have a fnaf movie after so long
Yeah, the thing that bother me the most are the legs, they are supposed to be heavy and feel heavy, but the footsetp is just ..... really like plastic. It couldn't even step completely on the plastic ball.
The reason the leg looks fake is that it isn't moving with the correct amount of weight to it, like you'd expect from a solid metal piece. Sometimes this can be fixed with good sound design but we'll have to wait and see :)
I don't really like the red eyes either, but in the books Freddy had glowing red eyes to distinguish his entrance into a room from the other characters, lighting up the whole room in red, this bulky, slow, ominous figure staring you down with bright red eyes. It worked in the books, so we'll see how it goes in the movie
