    You're onto something here. In-depth, factual reports on the SE are very hard to find on RUclips. Most reviews of the SE are very superficial and parrot the same factory specs. Thank you!

    Yes! Like everyone else says, please keep these videos coming. I suppose it's going to get harder to come up with content as you continue, but please keep em coming. I appreciate all details. You're providing rare content that's scarce for this model, from a real user perspective. Thanks!

      Thanks! I see this channel having a limited life, depending on how many model year changes in 2023. I can't buy a new Mini every year. :-) But I'll do what I can. It's fun to make the videos.

    Keep up these great mini tutorials...or should I say MINI tutorials. I just got the SE and your videos have been very useful.

    That's a very helpful video. Thank you, sir! Cleared my doubts, it should be totally fine for two people and a dog.

      I'm glad I could help. I try to make videos about the stuff I questioned when I was first researching the SE...I agree you should be good for two + dog. I can't find the thread, but some owners at the Inside EVs forum have posted what products they use for protecting their cargo area from dogs.

    My flat tire repair kit will not fit in that well. It is too tall. What am I doing wrong? Also, any thoughts on best place/way to store the cargo cover, if you need to remove it on the road? Seems like it's always in the way once I get a load of groceries, but I keep forgetting to leave it at home.

    • @minise-focus
      @minise-focus  2 года назад

      (1) Mini repair kit: It is too tall for the storage well - poor design by Mini (2) If I need to remove the cargo cover I just leave it in the garage. I don't have a suggestion for storing it while on the road. But I leave it in place 90% of the time.

  • @OKtunes
    @OKtunes 2 года назад

    Does the Mini allow you to limit the charge, say to 90%? I know the Bolt does this via Hilltop reserve mode.

    • @minise-focus
      @minise-focus  2 года назад

      As far as I know, you cannot set a charge limit % on the Mini. You can only set a charging time. The Mini’s battery has a built in buffer of approximately 92% at the top - so - if you charge to 100%, you’re charging to 92% of capacity.

    Great videos! Would love to know if is possible to fit a road bike.

      I don't own a road bike, but my 1995 mountain bike is 66" end to end, if that helps.

      And...the Yakima rack itself can handle a road bike tire in the vise grip.

    Hello there, thank you for this helpful video! Curious with the back seats down, what is the approximate length(depth) + width + height of the cargo area? As if you were loading a large rectangular box that would fit perfectly. Thank you in advance!

    • @minise-focus
      @minise-focus  2 года назад +2

      I measured some gross estimations: The height of the cargo box is around 27". The width is around 36". If it was a tall box, the slope of the front seats and the rear hatch would limit the depth to around 32" deep. It it was a short box, then the depth could go up to around 43" deep.

      Could I follow up on this question, please. This is certainly helpful information. I was also wondering about the depth of the cargo space if the back seats were up for some reason. Seeing your grocery bags fit in with the longer dimension fitting the depth of the trunk is helpful (and also the luggage that fit in either way). I am hoping that my garden tool box would fit in the trunk even if the the back seats were up, so I was looking for the length (depth) of the cargo area. It isn't that tall, but a bit wide. Knowing that the trunk space is 8.7 cubic ft doesn't help if I need to know the depth in this case. I will appreciate any information you can provide.

      @@EveEmshwiller If the back seats are in their normal sloped position, you have 17 - 19" inches depth at the bottom, 14" mid-level, and only 12" near the top of the seats.
      If you lock the rear seats in the upright position (which makes them very uncomfortable for humans), you would have a box 17 to 19" inches deep top to bottom. That range is because it is 17" to the rear cargo drop-off, then there is a bump with the rear hatch plastic trim on the 'floor' that gives another inch or two depth before hitting the actual hatch. Hard to explain.

  • @joseovando6926
    @joseovando6926 Год назад

    can you fit an 18 inch wheel vertically?

    • @minise-focus
      @minise-focus  Год назад

      The clearance in the back is around 24" (right at the opening) to 28" (after clearing the hatch) - so I would say yes, you could wrestle a single tire in that space.

    Is this car good for gig work? I deliver grocery most times for 3 customers at a time.. fitting 3 bags of grocery is a joke correct ? I am looking at a cooper s online but does not detail how much room and are they good on gas or is that just a sales pitch. questions may sound odd but i am being realistic. I already know they are a wallet diver on repairs but i am a proficient enough mechanic that that does not impede me from buying one. On the other hand poor gas mileage, transmission failures and not enough room to put at least 10 bags of real grocery would.

    • @minise-focus
      @minise-focus  4 месяца назад

      I cannot comment on gas mileage or reliability for a Cooper S since my Mini SE is full electric - a completely different animal. One which has cost me a couple tire rotations in over 3 years of ownership - an no other maintenance expenses so far.
      As for fitting groceries for deliveries, if you have the back seats folded down, it would handle a lot of grocery bags. With the back seats up, that is not a joke - the space behind the rear seats is tiny.
