Great job...you spoke about extending the counter part for stools to eat off side but I noticed your lawn is sloping on that side....you might have to add soil to level the area so the barstools dont tip ...but then again maybe the view is deceptive...just remember safety....great job
Nicely done. I want to do a variety. 1) Moveable, on solid / big castors (to get around code and put on side yard), 2) No L, just straight. 3) Griddle, natural gas, 4) Counter top on one side of griddle, butcher block on the other (think carne, tacos). I think the biggest element is going to be to have something build the frame, since it will need to accommodate the griddle, cabinet doors, the castors, the counter top and butcher block. If you have any ideas, gotchas, etc. love to hear them.
I am seeing a redwood patio deck extending off your bar stool side, with a guard rail (quite a drop off once you extend), and then extend out your counter top by 12" for leg room. Looks great though. Looks like NoCal, oak trees in background. Nice.
The Grill looks nice -thank you for showing and explaining what you did as well as things you might want to do differently-especially since you have gone through the process. I do have a question how do you care for your travertine tiles around your pool n cook top Thank - you
How are the doors holding up? I am in the process of building my own outdoor kitchen and I can't seem to find good, high quality stainless steel doors that don't won't force me to remortgage my house but also don't rust over two days after they are installed.
I'm doing something similar, all wood fired but hoping to make a combo smoker, grill, evaporator, oven, we'll see what happens, I'll try to capture it all and put on my channel
Love this and thank you! We want to do this with the bar stool idea. Any additional advice other than what you included in the video? Again, great video and thank you!
Only thing I would recommend is to not over pour a concrete base for your project. You can probably park a truck in my concrete slab - it is way overkill :)
Thanks for the nice video. I'm planning of building an outside kitchen with grill and your video helped and gave me some insights. I have read a lot of negative feedback about the Kitchen Aid grill though. I hope yours is okay.

A 1ft slab would be crazy. You could park a truck on that :). I did about 6 inches or so and a concrete guy told me 3 inches with rebar would be plenty.

We don't want to spend thousands to install a patio that will need to be jackhammered up when we have the $$$ to convert to natural gas.
Not for mine. The back of the grill is accessible for me to drill thru the stone and convert to natural gas. If you want it in the future - I would install it now :).
